  1. Well I would say that progress updates and so on... are trend of many early access games to prove that developers are actually working on the software and I am pretty sure that ED have no needs to do that. We have Silver_Dragons unofficial roadmap that seem to be mostly pretty accurate and actual (thanks to him for that... :D) and still ED can suprise with some new features/modules. They are providing regular updates and bugfixes with new features and sometimes even some hints for what we can expect... and we all love DCS rumors...

  2. I'm not sure how will effects and exactly environment looks like in "2.5" but THERE is some sneak peek from that TBS ("Professional DCS"). You can notice that "new" grass and colidable trees on the Black sea map... However the Wags signature should be taken in mind on that. :music_whistling:

Take this as note to that topic...

  3. This video was uploaded some time ago... And I forgot to put it there.

Some time ago I was asked to record some backround footage for my friend's pretty awesome guitar impro solo music vid.

    So there you go... Enjoy

Check his other stuff he is really good.

And by the way we really need pilots body in cockpit for the Sabre.

  4. Well what i think, about the Starways textures... It may be Ok to reward someone's hard work. However there are many guys who are making awesome texture packs on their own for free. So whats the deal? We dont have to buy anything that we dont want. I'm not personally interested in buying "official" HD texture packs when those free ones are around. What may change my opinion will be case that ED would make let's say trees colidable or new 3d models of infrastructures/buildings/vehicles. Colidable trees are really needed feature for default map. Especially when DCS evolution is going up. Then charging lower price for this kind of enhancement lets say for price of standalone FC3 module is reasonable. However DCS is evolving and it looks that with upcoming features will be improvement of default map imminent... So...

But I dont care until there will be some official info about pricing... :smartass:

  5. I haven't found any good free standalone docs about radar or RWR (except in Finnish but that likely doesn't help you) but if you google some key concepts like "PRF range ambiguity", "PRF doppler ambiguity", "range ambiguity resolution", etc. you will find lots of snippets of information to build a more complete picture.

This is the best I have found so far:

    http://ece.wpi.edu/radarcourse/Radar%202010%20PDFs/

    And the excellent Finnish doc:

    link

I got chance to get fully through it today.And... Thanks for that. I get few answers for some of my questions. However most of things I already knew about (I got education in radio comms electronics). Finnish doc I have to translate somehow... But yeah thanks its really interesting.

I asked some retired radar Operators if they can provide me some documentations (like SA-8 Gecko or 2K12) that they said that they have. If there will be something useful and I will be allowed to scan it I surely put it there for you guys but my expectations are that it will be in Czech language :D.

  6. I started to be interested in the radio locators. And I'm searching for some technical documentations... yet I found few interesting documents but they doesn't have any technical value for me (they are mostly informative). So Im wondering if some of you guys have any docs that can be helpful in my interest. You can post anything about the radars or even whole electronics combat stuff (CMS RWRs etc...) no matter on what types or generations but it should have some depth or "technical value". Of course if there are some good documentations available at all...

I think that It would be helpful not only for me but Im sure that there are many other guys who have same kind of interest as me. :book:

Thank you in advance for anything that you can share.

  7. Sabre vs. L-39ZA

I was really surprised how hard actually was to get myself behind this Hard AI L-39ZA...

Well AI with their SFM and eagles sights are really tough to dogfight but damn this one was harder to dogfight (with my skills) than any AI Mig-15 that I encountered before... . My thought about F-86F vs. L-39ZA dogfight was like "L-39 cant handle this one..." However the result was interesting...

  8. 1.5.3 OB update didn't arrive on the Steam yet... So I hope that we Steam using weirdos get it ASAP... :music_whistling:

Reason is probably that this update includes a L-39ZA...

It may be difficult to get new additional aircraft into a L-39 module on steam... because "The Steam"... I guess...
