  1. Thank you Devs for working on mid-mission Save Game feature - I saw the newest DSC announcement. I was waiting for this for years and actually I stopped to play the game because I couldn't save progress during mission. I can't wait to play again. Great job
  2. Thanks Zildac. I will try this mod and see if it works. This is probably the only solution to save progress within the game. It's a shame that developers still didn't implement such a option in the game.
  3. Hi. Would like to ask if any 'Save game' options has been implemented in the game so far? I've started to play DCS a few years ago, but stopped due to the lack of 'Save game' option so playing became very frustrating without that feature. I know that in the last few years a lot of development has been done, but I'm not sure if 'save game' option is now available. If there is still no official way of saving the game progrees during mission, is there any other way through some third party patches to do so?
  4. Thanks!!! You right. It works now. Great
  5. Thanks for reply. To answer your question - I first try to lock the target and then select CCRP. I do in the same sequence like you do. Below you can see the screenshot when I'm ready to set a target point. The pipper is on the right side of the display. Than I press 'Enter' and nothing happen. Display looks exactly the same. The pipper is still there in dashed circle. Even when I press 'O' key for CCRP after this, also nothing happen. I was trying to map different key for Target Lock, but this still didn't help. 6. Thanks for reply. You right – we setting targeting point, weather there's something there or not. But I can't set a Target Point. This is the issue. I can't get this square with a dot in it after pressing 'Enter' key. This 'Enter' key just select the nearest target and put the red square over it it. Which is very strange, because I have different key mapped for doing this. If I try to press 'Enter' in the area free from hostile units, it simply nothing happen after pressing 'Enter'. Even after switching to CCRP mode (key 'O') I don't get a continuous vertical line. The line is always dashed, which means that the target is not set.
  7. Hi All. Have a question about CCRP bombing in A-10A Flaming Cliff 3, because I think that this system completely doesn't work in my game. The problem is that I can't lock the target. The default key is 'Enter' which basically lock the target by putting the red rectangle over it, but this is not a target lock for CCRP when the small rectangle with a dot should appear. If I press 'Enter' again the red rectangle move to another target and so on. I do everything correct to try CCRP: I'm in air-to-ground mode, bombs are selected, I can move pipper in all directions and even CCRP toggle (key 'O') also works BUT the Target Lock doesn't. To be honest bombing without CCRP is pretty much useless. I tried to re-map keys or even installed the game on different computer and still the same. I think this is a bug. I have the latest Steam version of the game. Do you have similar issue guys? Any ideas how to fix this?
  8. I agree that 'save game' is not going to make me a better pilot, but this is not the point, because every player can have a different expectations from the game. I'm not playing this game to improve my flying skills but rather to just simply enjoy flying a military plane/helicopter and to complete missions in reasonable time, without spending too many hours to learn in detail how to fly or to repeat the same mission on and on. So to be a better pilot is not my goal. But of course I agree that other players expect much more advance approach to the game and they want to improve their flying skills. I will treat the save game feature as another option, and player can decide to use in or not. It is like the options of speed up the time or active pause. They are just an options. If some advanced players decide that these options are unrealistic, just don't use them, that's it. The same with save game. If someone feels that it is not necessary to have them in game, just simply never do the save game and just fly as you always did. So in my opinion introduce the save game doesn't change anything for hardcore players who want to play a real simulator. Save game just make the game more accessible for more casual players, but don't take anything from advanced one. It is a win-win situation.
  9. Hi all. DCS never had this feature which is a biggest downside of the game for me. It is very frustrating when you nearly completed the mission and than crash right on the end. Or when you flying the long distance and after 20 minutes your computer suddenly crash and then you have to repeat everything from the beginning. To do a save game during the mission will be a great. Than you don't have to repeat the whole mission just because you did stupid mistake. Sometimes when you fly the long mission you could finish it next day. I think that is really no necessary to explain more of the the benefits of save games. Some players probably can say that with save game the game wont be a simulator any more. It's not true because in game we have already options to speed up the time or active pause. Some players don't have to do 'save games' if they feel that it is not necessary for them. But we should have this option to be able customize the game to how we want to play. The game than become more enjoyable for less experienced players or for someone who don't have that much time to repeat 6 or more times one mission.
  10. I agree with 'frodrigues2016' who wants automatic landing feature. I also sometimes struggle to land and it is very frustrating when you completed the mission and than crash right on the end. I'm also thinking about to open the new topic 'save games'. DSC never had this feature which is a biggest downside of the game for me. To do a save game during the mission will be a great. Than you don't have to repeat the whole mission just because you did stupid mistake. Sometimes when yo fly the long mission you could finish it next day. 11. thanks. I will do this then to get the newest version. Cheers
  12. Thanks for all comments. Some of you mentioned the patches. My game version is 1.1.1.1. Is this the latest one? I can't find any patches directly on DCS website (I'm surprised of that). So where do you have guys this patches from? I have bought the game on Gamefly (currently is Direct2Drive).
  13. Hi All I have a question about the difference between two types of cannon HE and AP. I know actually that HE are High Explosive which are filled with explosives that detonate on impact, when AP are armor-piercing designed to penetrate armor of vehicles. But when I play Black Shark 2 the effectiveness of AP shells against armour vehicles is terrible compare to HE. Is enough a few correct shoots with HE shells and tank will be destroyed, when AP shells against the same target are pretty much useless. Is it a bug in game or what? Did you notice this in your game as well? Thanks for any comments
  14. That's good that Mi-8 isn't the most combat effective, because I also like to do support mission and not necessary be involved in any combat.
  15. Thanks for all of you for very helpful tips, especially to DOK_RP. This was exactly the answer which I was looking for. Ka-50 Black Shark 2 is my favourite military flight simulator and I would like to try different helicopters. With what dok_rp wrote I think I definitely will buy the Mi-8. I know that on the beginning can be more difficult to fly then Ka-50, but I'm not new in to the simulators and I will be fine. For example Ka-50 for me has perfect balance between proper simulator and little bit of arcade type. I don't like pure arcade simulators, but also too complicated game is also not good for me. I just don't like to press 50 buttons before flight :-) But still in Ka-50 I have used all my keys on my keyboard, and still I can manage to operate all weapons, radar, or communication with other helicopters. I think that design of this game is perfect. Everyone can find there something good, amateur or hardcore gamer. That's why I was wondering about Mi-8 – how this game is. I have nearly completed first campaign in Ka-50 so the next one can be Mi-8. I have also thought about UH-1H Huey, but to be honest the one thing to keep me off that simulator is that machine for me is related to Vietnam, and to flight it in DCS environment looks weird to me. I will definitely try if Eagle Dynamics will create separate Vietnam campaign. The same story is about Mustang. But anyway, Eagle Dynamics design the best military simulators and I'm looking forward also to play the WW2 Europe 1944. Thanks again.
  16. Hello. I'm going to buy DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight, but before purchase I have a question about it. Is there an Easy Flight Mode like in Ka-50 Black Shark 2. I really like Easy Flight Mode in flight simulators. For me is much more enjoyable then proper simulator. I read that DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight is this kind of game and I couldn't find any information about Easy Flight Mode there. Thanks for help.
