  1. I was thinking power supply...but returning my GPU to stock clocks seems to have solved my issue. I'm not 100% sure if I've solved it 100% but I was able to play a lot longer now (just got out of a server I played in for like 20 minutes) where as the computer would restart itself 2-3 minutes after jumping into a server. Thing is I find this really strange because my GPU when overclocked is stable in GTA V, TW3, and so on where it's pegged at 98-99% at 1202 Mhz. When monitoring it in DCS however it's hardly being used in the game... In any case I'll keep playing with it at stock and see if it's really solved. Thanks by the way for all the suggestions. Time to keep my fingers crossed.
  2. I took a look in that section like you said. The last entry is dated July 7, 2015.
  3. I tried playing tonight without streaming and all three times I got into a server and started up my plane the computer forcibly reboots...so It's not a streaming issue. I don't know what the problem is because this hasn't happened before. It's a recent problem and is ONLY happening with DCS... It's a shame. Looks like I can't play DCS anymore.
  4. Sorry for not replying for awhile guys. I've been busy these past few days. My specs are: Xeon X5650 @ 4.0Ghz 12GB DDR3 @ 1600Mhz GTX Titan @ 1202Mhz Windows 8.1 Pro X64 It doesn't immediately restart when I start streaming. It usually happens after a couple of minutes or so. I've monitored temps like I said and neither GPU nor CPU go anywhere near TDP. When my CPU is pegged at 99% when doing stress tests or emulating+streaming the Temps stay in the mid 60C range. GPU in games like TW3, GTA V, ACU, and other heavy GPU intensive games stays under 70C when pegged at 98-99% My system is stable....until I decided to stream DCS. While monitoring my system usage in DCS I notice that neither my CPU or GPU are even being used that much. My GPU never boosts itself to 1202Mhz and my CPU usage hardly exceeds 70% the majority of the time. I've checked the inside of my case for loose cables or the like that could cause problems...all cables are secure and tucked away. I'm using the Steam version of DCS, so I assume it's always up to date.
  5. I have a weird issue regarding DCS. I can play the game just fine, but when I start streaming to Twitch with OBS my computer would just forcibly restart on its own. It has done this 3 times. I've monitored CPU as well as GPU temperatures and they are both well BELOW critical ranges. I can stream myself playing emulated PS2 games, both of which are heavily CPU heavy (in fact my CPU load jumps to 99% when doing this and temps stay below 60C) just fine. DCS is the ONLY game that does this. Event Viewer shows Kernal-Power as the source with an Event ID of 41 and says "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly." Any ideas?
  6. Oh my god! You're a hero! It worked!! I guess now I'll go ahead and save the profiles like suggested earlier and back them up as well. Thank you SO much.
  7. Was there a recent update or something? Or is it just completely at random? Thanks for the info. But it's going to be a long while before I even think of starting up DCS again. Right now I don't even want to think of all the hours in the controls menu that just went up in smoke... I'll bookmark this thread for when I get the motivation back. Thanks again for the help...
  8. Whenever I try, the option is always gray'd out and I can't click it. I've tried with the F-86, Mig-21 and the Su-27/33 It only worked for the F-15.
  9. This is the 2nd time this has happened. All of my controls have reset to default. What's most heartbreaking about this is that I spent hours mapping and perfecting my FC3 mappings and now they're all gone. Why? Why does this happen? What is my motivation to keep spending time and money on this game when something like this happens not once but twice? I'm ready to throw in the towel despite my love for this game. I can't even right now...
  10. Wow great list! Thank you very much. There are so many AA missiles, and I have no idea which are radar and which are IR, but WinterH you pretty much make that a lot easier. Thank you! Edit: You made a mistake when listing the R-3S twice. I'm guessing for the SARH missile you meant the R-3R?
  11. The name changed to something else. Forgot the name...but the last time I checked the server it was Mig-21 only. This was like 2 weeks ago.
  12. So when I'm going into a spin I should put the stick and the rudder in the direction the plane is spinning?
  13. Really? Hmm...but it's weird that it would start out of nowhere and then progressively get worse. I've been busy with college so I haven't had much time to play around with it, but the couple of times I tried it I didn't have any problems. Wondering if the file Steam replaced was the cause of the problem, but I don't want to jinx it.
  14. I just did a verify cache on Steam and it replaced 1 file. Not sure if this is/was the cause of the problem. I'll have to see though. If I still have the problem I'll try the standalone version and see if it's okay there. But then again who knows...it might take awhile for it to show up in that one too :/ But I'll reply when anything comes up. And thanks in advance by the way.
  15. No I haven't. It just seems to be getting more frequent. It's really strange.
  16. I play the Steam version of DCS and have started to experience complete system freezes when switching from multiplayer to single player, single player to multiplayer, exiting a server, or even from single player missions back to the main menu. What I mean by complete system freezes, is that the screen freezes. The mouse cursor moves around, but I can't click on anything. It's completely unresponsive. Ctrl+Alt+Del doesn't even work. I have to hard restart my PC every time. If I'm talking on Teamspeak then my mic stays on since my push-to-talk key is Ctrl. My system specs are: Intel Xeon X5650 @ 4.0Ghz Asus Rampage III Formula HyperX 12GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600Mhz EVGA GTX 760 2GB Superclocked Windows Vista Ultimate x64 I've uploaded my Dxdiag info if it's needed. I'd like some help to resolve this or know what the issue is because it's very annoying when it's starting to happen more and more frequently. The only module I have is the F-86F, however this happens even when I play single player missions in the TF-51 and back out to the main menu. DxDiag.txt
  17. I have a really hard time finding and keeping track of other jets (Mig15s and players) in the air. If I look in the same direction they are supposed to be, then I don't see anything unless I get up close... I'm not saying it's the game's fault because I'm new, but it's a little frustrating when I look in the spot where an enemy is supposed to be, but I don't see it until the last minute.
  18. If you're still doing this I'd like to inquire into it. I'm literally brand new to DCS. My first plane ever is the F-86. I love it and I'm still getting used to it. I believe with time I could become a very good pilot. Being new, I'd also like to jump into MP with a group rather than lone wolf it against the FC3 aircrafts and what not. I think the next module I'll buy will be the P-51 and then the Dora, but that won't be for awhile. So yes I'm interested! :D
