  1. The SP/MP surprised me as well. I thought it'd be reversed. May be some sample bias, but I would have never guessed 75/25 MP. I've never played MP and fly Liberation exclusively. I have the F18 and Supercarrier but never use them. I just chalk it up to dev support. Lol. I have the full Afghanistan pre-ordered- be interesting to see the area I was deployed in recreated. Drop a couple 2000lb JDAMs on a particular village... lol
  2. Anyone check out Spud's video about his survey results? As I mentioned in the comments for the video, I'm surprised the F-18 is the most popular module. I've found it to be overly complicated compared to the F-16. The F-16 is by far my favorite module - and a lot simpler to use! In the comments, people are saying the F-16 avionics are difficult to understand or more complicated than the F-18? What are they talking about because the F-16 makes waaaaaay more sense - those comments literally make no sense to me. So fewer buttons you have to push, just put the targeting pod over the target and blam.
  3. I couldn't tell you, honestly. I'm waiting to really play it until the JDAMs come out. It's just sitting in my hangar until then. Now I'm using the A-10 more.
  4. I'm personally leaning towards the Bigscreen. Small, light, micro-OLED, and a "competitive" price-point. However, I'm also of the opinion that waiting for their V2 with more features like eye tracking and the like might be a better idea, though that'll be years and years from now.
  5. The Reverb G2 has been a great entry into VR. I got it for a great price about a year ago and it doesn't need towers. But, I think it's time to consider getting something better. Varjo brought down the Aero to $1k, Bigscreen has their mini-OLED for $1k, Pimax now has the Crystal... There are quite a few choices, so I figured I'd ask you folks what would be the best in DCS. DCS is the only thing I do with VR, so I don't need controlers or anything. I much prefer not needing base stations, but I understand it's something I might just have to accept at this point. My #1 priority is visual quality. The G2 is sharp, but colors are bad, especially when I have an OLED for a PC monitor. FOV is #2 - I wouldn't want to get anything that's smaller in FOV from my G2. I'd prefer to stay away from Pimax, since they're Chinese (don't talk to me about my Winwing controllers... lol), so I'm already hesitant about Pimax. I have a 13900k, 4080 16GB, and 32GB RAM, so I've got plenty of machine for VR, especially after 2.9. Thank you for your consideration.
  6. Appreciate your input folks. I don't know a whole lot about the Phantom, so hearing what you say does well to fill in the obvious blanks.
  7. How is this plane as a dogfighter? I know it's a massive, heavy plane with massive, powerful engines - but can it fight in a turn a bit or is the Rhino a pig? Sent from my SM-S918U using Tapatalk
  8. I was just coming to post that multi-thread with DLSS and DLAA enabled (along with other things I can't remember, I was just clicking things) is absolutely transformative in VR. 4080, 32GB DDR5, 13900k. It was very playable in Liberation before 2.9, but now... It's an absolutely incredible experience!

  10. Ok, well, those of you drooling over the F-15 radar make good arguments.
  11. I don't understand this fascination people have with the F-15 radar. You're still limited by the AIM-120 range just like the F-16 and F-18. The "more powerful radar" in the F-15 is essentially pointless. Oh, you can 'see' farther? Ok - still gotta wait until that plane is 20mi away before you can fire your AMRAAM, just like the F-16/18. And with targeting pods, unless you're simulating some conflict that pre-dates them, the targeting pod is vastly superior to the radar for ground attacks as well. The F-16 is far more feature complete (F-15 doesn't even have JDAMs yet...) and a much more mature platform. Until the F-15 gets some serious updates and is more feature-complete, then the F-16 is by far the better module.
  12. Any chance of something like this? It'd certainly make installing new skins for aircraft simpler.
  13. LOL I found out about the price drop because of his video and was coming here to post it.
  14. Was just coming to post this. lol Hmmmm.... I'm leaning towards the Bigscreen personally, due to the form factor and the Micro OLED display... Both need base stations, but the eye tracking in the Varjo is extremely enticing.
  15. Was playing Liberation yesterday in the Caucuses map, it generated a mission to go take out an SA-10 site. I know these are super-tough nuts to crack, but figured I'd play SEAD in my two-ship F-16 element. I modified the package to use 2 F-15Es on DEAD w/CBU-97s and 4 F-15Cs for Escort. On the way to Steerpoint 2, which is over the Black Sea before we make an eastward turn to Steerpoint 3, we picked up a couple MiG-31s on RWR. Figured I'd ignore them as they were turning cold. About 5 minutes later, the hornets nest erupted. I did not survive this encounter, nor did any of our package. After I died, and killed 2 MiG-31s, I counted 13 Su-30s and 8 MiG-31s on the F-10 view. They utterly wiped us out - I've never seen so many enemy aircraft scrambled before in Liberation. I didn't feel quite so bad about dying once I saw how many enemy aircraft there were and how few we were. lol
