  1. The SUU-23 gunpod seems to fire all 600 rounds once triggered and can't be stopped. Or is it just me, doing something wrong?
  2. Hi Home Fries and thanks for the quick reply. :-) I bound my Steam account to DCS, but the carrier doesn't show up. Maybe this is because of it's early access state. Time will tell. Happy landings and stay healthy! Bearkiller72
  3. Hi there, I've been using the DCS Standalone version for ages now, but yesterday I received the Supercarrier as a gift thru Steam from a buddy of mine. Before I accept this gift and give away any chances of him getting a refund in case of any incompatabilities, here's my question: can I incorporate this gift sent thru Steam in my "pure-non-Steam" installation of DCS? Any info would be highly appreciated! Thanks in advance and stay healthy Bearkiller72 :helpsmilie:
  4. Merci, vielmals! Excellent tutorial, short, comprehensive, just what I needed! ^^ Man merkts, einer vom Fach! Dankeschön! :-)
  5. Salute! Sorry, if this has been asked, but the search for "QMB" and "Quick Mission Builder" showed no results. Is there any possibility to create a quick mission builder, in which you can select `YOUR FLIGHT´ and `ENEMY FLIGHT´, by type, numbers and time of day / date? Such as in ALL other sims present or past? My questions points straightly to the old Il-2:1946 setup, where you could setup quick missions quite easy, with the granted option of selecting the enemy and his skill at your choice. WHY does that hasn't been implemented in DCS: World and all it's modules, 3rd party or not? If this is a rather old question, pls, everybody, post a link and point me into the right thread/post, concerning this matter. Thanks, for redirecting, Bearkiller72.
  6. I heard B0€ing, which owns MDD, has set a ban/high licence fees upon all their products (invented or just acquired). I'm a newbie around here, and have only recently learned the A-4 Skyhawk project was cancelled because of the aforementioned. Could this be a problem for a controllable, high quality F-4 in this game?
  7. Phantom after going thru Aerobics? I'm with you on the F/A-18! :pilotfly: My personal favorite for 80's/90's fighters!
  8. I'd rather have the Phantom than the Tomcat. We have a U.S. air superiority fighter/interceptor already: the Eagle. I'd like to drop a few Mk.82's for a change... ;-D
  9. Hi, y'all! Just wanted to share this nice screenshot with you, hope you like it! :)
  10. I didn't criticise your skinning abilities, or approaches towards skin-making. Stop starting to become hostile right away, because that's what your reply sounds to me. I only remarked your seemingly "laissez-fair" approach towards historical skins as being a bit too easy. And now: let's end this right here and now, before it becomes truly effortless.
  11. As for the first: fine! Go on! As for the second: no. There's evidence. Black and white crosses do not betray the viewers eye even when on black and white photographs. Your reference to RLM colours is beside the point.
  12. The sizes actually were all the same, because they used pre cut masks to spray or paint the insignia on, as I've read somewhere. Could go searching for it, if needed. As for the black to white ratio on the crosses itself, that's non standard sometimes, depending on the tactical frontline situation, as pointed out. Also the style of the crosses varied 4-5 times from '39-'45, sometimes giving a false impression. "What looks best" seems to me the same as the OP's attempt to define a standard for all Balkenkreuze. Alas, nogo. Just like Stars'n'Bars changed from '41-'45, so did the BK's. If you wanna go historical, pick a paint scheme, check the year and check the possible markings for that period. Not "what looks best". :-)
  13. AFAIK same standard separation, only colours reversed; hence the thin look. Also, no outline - makes it looking slimmer.
  14. Yes, sometimes it was altered due to tactical considerations, e.g. 1940 the upper Balkenkreuze were sometimes overpainted with a larger black inner cross. But this was down on squadron level. Also sometimes, the BK's were overpainted in black during night missions. There seems to be no standard, but there was. And you can see the standard on the scans above. All other applications have to be judged from the photo/picture one likes to create a skin from. I'm sorry, but using google as a proof reference isn't helping. :book: No hurt feelings, I hope! :)
