  1. No one seems to object to removing trees at the ends of runways. Could we see this happening in an update?
  2. A couple thoughts: Trees should be removed from the ends of runways. This was usually just good sense, in order to eliminate an obstacle to taking off and landing. I'm hoping the new damage models will reflect more realistic encounters between planes and trees. Touching a few limbs or leaves should not be so deadly as it is now. I have seen a photo of a P-47, taken after it got back to its base, with a section of telephone pole embedded in the leading edge of a wing.
  3. Thanks, I'll try it out.
  4. If someone has an arrangement that they have found works well, I would like to try it.
  5. Anybody have one of these?
  6. Anybody have one of these?
  7. Exactly. Tonight, I flew south as far as our map would go, and there was lots of "map" further on. Our map ends just south of Pommville. There is plenty of map to the east, also. We have voiced our opinions, and preferences. Now, let's give ED a chance to maybe make some changes in the Beta, or Final version.
  8. I watched the video. My take is this: For our purposes, it seems that, in SP missions, a lot of scenarios are possible. But, for MP, the choices are more limited. How do you put German airfields on the map? You can't put them on any of the fields near the beach head. Where do you then put the Allied fields, except in England. The only answer seems to be German a/c can only start in the air at some distance from the beach head. Far enough away that they are not immediately attacked. What we have being Alpha, maybe some ideas will surface with time. No disrespect to anyone at ED, but this map, right now, seems to be much more oriented toward the Allies, with less thought for what the people flying 109/190's are supposed to do.
  9. That would have been "Pips" Priller and his wingman.
  10. Maybe we are all talking about different maps. The map I am referring to is the one I can fly through. That one covers more area than the one above. And I thought that one would have a few airfields in still German occupied territory which the 109 and 190 would use. When attacking the beach head, where did they take off from? Which German airfields did Allied planes fly to, to interdict German activity?
  11. Maybe I misunderstood. Far more likely, by the way. I thought the airfields in Normandy were Allied fields, constructed after June 6th, with German airfields being in areas still under German control, but within the bounds of the Normandy map (such as Le Harve and fields east of there). And from where German aircraft would be flown to attack the Normandy beach head. That beach head is a pretty crowded area to designate one field Allied and another German.
  12. Are there going to be German airfields on the map, in the future? I flew from Dover over to "French Point", and then down the coast to Le Harve, and didn't see any. If you fly a quick mission take off in a FW-190D, you take off from Caen. If we are going to fly on the German side, there should be German airfields for us.
  13. I loaded a second copy of JSGME, and it works. Now, I have tim to look over OVGME. Thanks for recommending it.
  14. I had enough trouble getting JSGME to work. I'm not good with computers. I better stay with what I know. If I put another copy of JSGME for 2Alpha in a different drive (D) would that work? If 2Alpha is on the C drive, would the _Mod folder there look to the D drive version of JSGME?
  15. Be sure you lower the nose a bit, since the sun is higher than the Spit.
  16. I want to use my JSGME mods in 2 OpenAlpha, if that is possible. I don't think I can just create a _MOD folder there, and copy and paste. So, what do I need to do? Do I need another copy of JSGME for 2 OpenAlpha, and how would I identify it on my desktop?
  17. Sorry, SkateZilla, I'm dumb. Where is "Utility"? Is that the Updater Utility? If so, how do I get a version for 2.0?
  18. It's past 1600 GMT. More like 1845. Where do we find the map? I don't see it in the Module Manager, yet.
  19. If you fly directly away from the sun, you can see the shadow of your Spitfire in the propeller disc. That should not happen.
  20. That sounds right, I'll see how it all works. When I read "slider" I pictured the slider on the joystick, which I don't use. Thanks,
  21. This sounds worth trying. Could you expand on the "manifold pressure slider I did a special setting", I don't understand what to do, there Thanks.
  22. Could my problem arise from using a FFB2 joystick? Has anyone using this stick had the same sensitivity problem and found a solution?
  23. If he has no problem with other planes, it's probably the Spitfire, itself. I have the Spitfire, and I'm not flying it anymore until they work out those controls being waaay overly sensitive. Before you ask, I have tried everything I can think of to dampen them down.
  24. I think someone needs to inform those Germans they are doing it wrong.
  25. Please clarify the "point". Cause, I missed it.
