  1. It sure would be great if you could provide some details. Did you get to try any DCS stuff? Thanks.
  2. Have things changed to the point where the ability to use the latest Oculus runtime -- in Windows10 -- with any of the the newer DCS versions -- and an nVidia driver that works well -- is possible yet? That's the change I'd sure like to keep up with.:)
  3. Hi, Chivas. I tried to google "the MED" and "BOB theatre," but I got no relevant hits. Could you explain what they are, please? Thanks
  4. Is DCS playable yet with Windows 10, with the latest oculus runtime and with the latest DCS version? If not, what combination of OS, Oculus runtime, and DCS version currently works best? Also if not, has there been a date projected (or estimated) as to when DCS will be ready to use with the latest Windows and runtime versions?
  5. Was this with a DK2? What OS were you running?
  6. Is it wonky to use for you because you have to use two hands? The way I suggested requires only one hand. Could you not get it to work for you?
  7. If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, we do have that. Here's what I think you have to do (to the best of my recollection): If you press LAlt + C, it toggles "clickable mouse cockpit control." You want it off, so that the little yellow crosshair is gone. Then, for me at least, I have to hold down my middle mouse button and just move the mouse. Forward/backward movement moves you up and down, left/right movement moves you left and right, and rolling the mouse wheel while still holding it down moves you forward and backward. (All this assumes that your mouse wheel is also your middle mouse button.) Now, I'm not sure if you have to map these movements to your mouse, because I don't remember doing that myself, so it may be the default. I hope this helps. Please let me know if it doesn't, so that I can edit this post or delete it altogether. Good luck... :)
  8. OK, thanks. I wanted to double check if that directive had changed and we could now use mods. Now I know we still can't. :)
  9. I seem to recall that we should not use mods if we're running open beta 1.5. Am I mistaken?
  10. Which patch are you referring to? Is it from Oculus, or is it from DCS? Can you provide a link?
  11. Have you tried disabling your internet connection and skipping the logon until the screen that has the free flight button comes up? At that point, you would re-enable your internet connection and then log on. Since I started doing all that, I haven't had one crash...
  12. Is the New Gamma adjustable? If so, where? Other than there being a massive visual difference, which I don't seem to be able to see, is there any other indicator that tells you whether or not the New Gamma is on?
  13. I don't remember who posted it or where it was posted, but it has been suggested that you disable your internet connection before running DCS. That's been working pretty well for me as a way to avoid the crashes. Plus, I just discovered that once you've got the program running, you can then re-enable your internet connection and log in, and then you're back in business. I hope it works well for you and others too.
