  1. @ golani79: Thank you for your help on that. That is what I thought to be the possible use of that valve but I had no source of confirmation. Anyways, I will test engine operation with and without that valve as soon as I am back home from work. Will post if I observe any differences...:pilotfly:
  2. So I tune in...! The MiG-15Bis is truly a masterpiece. Is this still a beta one should ask?! It handles so well I did not encounter any problems so far. I tested her for a few hours yesterday and I can say the level of detail is amazing. And the soundset! The soundset is sooo immersive. I mean just listen to that engine spool up...! Anyway, F-86 pilots should beware, now. The MiG´s cannons are absolutely deadly and it just entered the arena. Well done BST! But I have one question remaining: what exactly does the "Isolation Valve" (next to the fuel & engine switches) on the left switch panel do? I could not get behind it. Has it any effect? Any help would be appreciated.
  3. Waiting a few days more is no big deal as BST has obviously put much love into that project and we can safely assume it is going to be great. The "timeframe" can still be met without any problems. But a statement which is more clear on what delayed the MiGs release would be much appreciated. Being extremely vague cannot always be the solution.
  4. Thank you! Providing us with that manual is very much appreciated. Keep it up guys...
  5. Excellent video! The power of the N37D cannon is brutal. Can´t wait to try it myself. These are the videos that keep us guys hyped up and in the loop...
  6. I hear you Sith. Yeah, it is sure better to wait and have things polished even a little more. At least we have some kind of timeframe for the MiG-15Bis, now.
  7. Release is still 2-3 weeks away from now? Wow, february is nearly over then. That is really sad to hear. I honestly thought you guys at BST had the MiG-15Bis ready to go by the start of february as the last few videos showed that bird in pretty much polished condition. Or, as a german, didn´t I get the irony in your statement? Please enlighten me...
  8. The vertical gyro system is apparently not a "fighter-type" gyro. It seems to be an item purchased by CASA from the general aviation market. Correct me if I am wrong, though. It has that helpful fast errect fucntion that counters the problem of tumbling after vigorous maneuvering. It the gyro tumbles out of alignment you can easily get it back to normal operation by flying straight & level for a short moment and press that fast errect button. Anyway, a more detailed TARSYN description would be appreciated...
  9. First, I want to congratulate the AVIODEV Team on that amazing C-101. The aircraft is a pleasure to fly even in its early beta state. In those few test flights I did yesterday I found an apparent bug, though. The trim controls seem not to be working. Everything is set up correctly on my end, though. Also, the little window showing control surface position on the upper left front panel is not reacting. Can someone please investigate? Also, I would like to hear a little bit more about that old TARSYN system from one of the Devs. Especially concerning those flight conditions when that system starts producing errors or deviations from normal flight attitude (the artificial horizon seems to be quite a bit affected by maneuvering even at 2-3 Gs). Thank you in advance...
  10. Day one preorder for me. Anyone noticed the new soundset the MiG-15 already has in game? Just listen to that sound when she takes off... btw: is anyone able to provide a MiG-15Bis Flight Manual for the community here? I think it would be just awesome to read a little about how to handle this beauty until we can take her to the DCS skies, finally. Help on getting that manual would be really appreciated. Thx in advance...:pilotfly:
  11. Good news! That features makes flying much easier and should be implemented in the DCS MiG-21 BIS version at any cost...
  12. The SAU STABILIZATION Mode is probably faulty. I tried it today and while it DOES stabilize the aircraft in the given attitude by the moment the stick forces are relieved it does not allow me to override AP / AFCS by applying slight pressure on the stick to perform maneuvers / steer the aircraft in that mode. The respective channel should then be overridden according to the real world manual. Furthermore, in that mode it is obviously not possible to trim the aircraft for ascent or descent - at least for me. Now, the real world aircraft can be flown in exactly that way and also perform any simple or advanced maneuver except the spin. You can even take off and land with STABILIZATION Mode on. The only drawback is that you will have higher stick forces - especially in pitch. And that is why you should disconnect the AFCS, PITCH channel when performing vigorous maneuvers while flying in that mode. Then, only the roll channel is still stabilized. In the Leatherneck MiG-21 BIS manual you mentioned that this mode works by filtering stick inputs. That is correct. But you need to filter these inputs because of the above mentioned possibility to override the AFCS and steer the aircraft yourself. Any suggestions on that? I would like to hear a Dev on that case. Maybe an answer from Dolphin would clarify that issue. Thx in advance...
  13. XCOM did you assign a radio frequency to your GCI station? Also, did you set that frequency in Mission Editor to the MiG-21´s radio station interface? You need to set that frequency there in order to get it to work. I suggest you use channel 0 or channel 1. These are not assigned to ATC and and are available for GCI and AWACS. You should be good to go then...
  14. Awesome!:D Cobra, you made my day. Looking forward to the manual...
