  1. Low frame rates I forgot to mention that I still have all the tree's, bushes, grass, building's, etc, with the sliders at their lowest settings, and all the other settings are on low. The eye candy is still there no matter what the settings are and as I mentioned in the previous post, even though city traffic is off, it still shows up anyway. The quality of the graphics is exactly the same no matter what the settings are
  2. Low frame rates Hello fellow fighter pilots, I don't know if this will help anyone else's frame rates, but it helped mine tremendously. My system is Windows 7 Ultimate, 64 bit, I5 3470, HIS Iceqx2 video card. I reduced the settings to low, disabled shadows, city traffic off, and moved the sliders to their minimums, turned off vsynch in the sim and on the video card overclock screen as well, HDR off, flat shadows off, MSAA and TSSAA to 2X I now have frame rates that never go below 75, no matter which way I look and no stuttering or micro stuttering, no matter which way I look or what scenario I'm flying in and the screen tearing is gone as well. My card temp was above 65 C and now is about 50 C. Also, even with city traffic off, I still have city traffic. I'm not a computer expert, so I don'y know why this works for me, I'm just glad it does. I really hope this can help some other pilots, because I know all too well how frustrating stuttering can be. All the best
  3. Gun selection issue Thanks for the help everyone, I have it figured out now and for the benefit of anyone else that is using an X52 joystick and having a hard time with it, this is how I did it. I have the number " 3 " key, which is pressed to enter the close air combat mode, mapped to the large black button on the X52 joystick and I it press it to enter the close air combat mode. I have the " enter " key, which is used to lock the target, mapped to the small blue button directly opposite of the large black button, I press it to lock the target. I have the " C " key which is used to arm the cannon, mapped to the other small blue button directly above the previously mentioned small blue button and I press it to arm the cannon. I have the " space " key which is used to fire the cannon, mapped to the the first " click " of the trigger button on the X52 joystick. It works really well and the sight is very accurate, but as another poster suggested I also practice with the gun funnel as well, which is much more difficult to hit the target with, but still lots of fun anyway I hope that this is useful to someone and thanks again for all the help.
  4. Greetings fellow Flanker fliers, I am having a problem with getting the correct gun mode to display on the HUD. The manual says to press 3, then press C and then the Hud will display the close air combat mode and that the target will be automatically locked up on the close air combat display. When I press 3, the close air combat display appears on the HUD, but when I press C, its switches over to the gun funnel mode. Am I missing something ? Many thanks in advance.
  5. Spawning too many jets Thanks Primus, That helped, but the lowest number it spawns now is 4, I would love to get it down too 1 If you have any more suggestions that would be great, if not thanks for the help.
  6. When I select the minimum number of enemy jets, its always spawns at least 6 and sometimes as many as 10 to 12. It only does this for jet fighters, not for attack planes or helicopters. For attack planes and helicopters, it only spawns 2, but for jet fighters its always many more than 2 Any suggestions ?
  7. I sent an email to tech support and this is the reply I received about this issue. From Wags (Matt Wagner) at 16.09.2014 15:16:10 Please reset your controls by deleting your users/<name>/saved games/DCS/config/input folder I did this and then restarted my computer and now it works fine, maybe this post will help anybody else having the same problem
  8. The keyboard command is Lalt+R, since it is the alt key to the left of the space bar I am assuming that it is able to differentiate, it worked to a degree when I first got the sim up and running. Also there is no conflict that I can see
  9. Hello fellow aerial predators, I have been flying the F-15C AFM in the Flaming Cliffs 3 module a while now and I am having an unusual issue with jettisoning the fuel tanks. At first I could only jettison the tanks after flying for a while, which I assumed was because the tanks were full and the simulator would not let me jettison until they were empty and that seemed to be the case, because I could jettison them after my fuel indicator dropped below the halfway mark. But now, no matter how full or empty the tanks are I cannot jettison them, even after I'm at the bingo fuel mark. Strangely enough, I CAN jettison them with keyboard commands, whether they are full or empty, the same keyboard commands are mapped into my X52 joystick/throttle controls and the button that I use to jettison is active in my X52 joystick/throttle control panel. I have also tried mapping the keyboard jettison commands to other buttons on my X52 controls and that does not work either. Any help would be very much appreciated, Thanks in advance !
