  1. One of our members, Marcranger, can't make it. PhysGun, Israel, F-15 will replace him. We also have another internal stand in, SilentGun, USA, F-15, just in case some other member pulls off some shenanigans. Or if the event is short in replacements in total.

  3. Is it alright if TAW.net has a bit of a roster change? The numbers will be there, two or three nicknames will be different. We will specify tomorrow.
  4. What about tankers? Your fella mentioned scoring for tankers as well. I haven't tried aerial refueling for a while, but I remember that causing an infinite fuel glitch some time ago, not sure if it's fixed now. That's why we don't have them on TAW.net servers.
  5. Okay, TAW.net, as promised before, are specifying the roster. I'm making a new post, but just to be sure, I'll edit my old one as well. 7. Naw, the server is as bare-bones as it gets and no membership required. Can you join other servers? Do you use excessive mods that might fail the integrity check?
  8. For some reason this does not work for me. I did change the .cfg file as noted, but people still get messages on my servers.
  9. Question's already in the title. Any way to remove and enforce to everyone on the server to not show the killfeed, as in "x has killed MiG-29 with AIM-120C" or "y has killed Ural-375"? Couldn't find any info on this.
  10. Check out TAW at http://taw.net There's an active and thriving DCS division with quite populated NA scene. Regular events and the last one had some twenty people on. There are also flight instructors that will teach you to fly your craft from basic to advanced levels in no time.
  11. Check out The Art of Warfare (TAW), I joined them just days ago and it's great. http://taw.net Solid and helpful community that will teach you and will play with you.
  12. Eagle Dynamics could make a competition. Make a list of tutorials that need to be done and redone (like "F-15 takeoff", "A-10 unguided bombs", "Advanced aerial maneuvers", some topics absolutely uncovered, like "Weapons and their performance in details") and a sublist for each tutorial of absolutely necessary information that has to be included (for example, F-15 takeoff tutorial should absolutely cover engine startup, flap usage, taxiing, etc., etc., but navigation lights and items of less relevance are optional and recommended, but not obligatory), and also technical requirements (like the video has to be filmed in at least 30fps 720p, the voicover has to be clear with no static and so on). Then the community would make their own tutorials and submit them to Eagle for review. The best ones are chosen and creators of tutorial awarded something. A new upcoming module for free, maybe? This way everyone wins. Eagle doesn't spend resources and time making tutorials, community gets involved in the development and creative people get to be creative and produce quality content, and hell, you may even get something out of it.
  13. Scratch that, found something. 970 supposedly goes for 329 dollarydoos.
  14. Less power, yes, but there is absolutely no reliable source regarding the pricing so anything about that is just speculation. We can, at least, know for sure that older cards will drop and be cheaper.
  15. Wait for the 900 series to be released. Not because you'd be getting them, no, the price-to-performance ratio will be off the charts and it won't really be worth it. Don't fall for the marketing, they've deliberately skipped 800 series tagging just to make it appear people using 600 and 700 series are one more generation behind. When the 900's release, older models should see a price drop. So when that happens, what to get? First off, I'd say go for nVidia. Most games these days prefer nVidia anyway and the physX is neat. If DCS is all you'll play, there's really no reason to get anything more than 760, it's cheap and good. If you're gunning for more hardware-intensive upcoming games (say Witcher 3) or intend to play games on a 144hz monitor, do get something more powerful. Considering vram: think double if you need 4 GB or even more RAM. What manufacturers and retail stores don't tell you is what you need vram for. It comes down to pretty much resolution. If you play games on a single 1080p monitor, there is absolutely no reason in world to get anything more than 2 GB. Benchmarks between 2 and 4 GB of vram are barely different on 1920x1080, it's a waste to get 4 GB or more. vram comes into play when you blast the game on double or triple monitor setup, something bigger than 1080p, like 1440p or 4k. If you plan on doing that, then definitely get more vram.
  16. Hey. I've never been on these forums, so this is the first time posting here ever. I'm a student really into military simulation (and maybe not-so-simulation too as I play Counter Strike a lot) and I've watched my dad play flight sims since I was about 8 years old and played them myself since the age of 12. I love flight and I love a sense of community. I've actually had previous experience with DCS series. I managed to learn and fly and play the A-10C module, I loved it, but never really bothered to buy the game for myself. Now just today I noticed that the whole franchise is on sale on Steam, so no two thoughts and grabbed me some Flaming Cliffs 3. I'm really eager to do set up my dusty joystick, do the tutorials, learn to play the game and eventually delve deeper into the community and perhaps some multiplayer. Also, if anyone has a solid, small or large (no matter the size) multiplayer community that would appreciate a potential dedicated member, let me know, I'd be happy to hear about it and join, perhaps.
