  1. Couple of suggestions. 1. Try taking off without anti-ice turned on. 2. If heavy, do a rolling takeoff. 3. Avoid using excessive right rudder on takeoff.
  2. Do you guys by any chance have your flaps up on takeoff?
  3. I have seen the same behaviour in MP for the strobe. Nav lights are also affected. You can only see wing tip navs flashing on someones plane but the intake navs are steady.
  4. I don't know if this was addressed in the last patch but yesterday after the patch I had no FPS drop with 30+ players in a server.
  5. There is. In dogfight mode double click the empty OSB next to SMS and select HSD. You can customize any modes by double clicking the bottom OSBs and selecting what you want to bind to that OSB.
  6. Yes but I believe it only shows that between your own flight's members. Still very handy.
  7. It might be tied to the TACAN volume knob. Works that way for the ILS at least. Turning a few notches up sets it on.
  8. I’m surprised no one has got a round to figure this out. I guess many of us should circle back and look for the clues in the video. Thank you for the constant videos Jabbers!
  9. That does not close the fact that a F-14 has fallen apart from a failure in mid-air. Official story said a faulty component on the oil system caused the engine to explode.
  10. That is the heading reference bug that can be adjusted with the HDG control knob to the left of the HSD.
  11. Positive Gs wont produce opposite wing flex, slight opposite wing rock, LEX and flaps retracting at slow speed and the hose pushing upwards. I rest my case.
  12. Yes the UFC is most likely part of the recent Mid-Life Upgrade.
  13. If there is no negative Gs I'd like you to explain how the oxygen tube pushes upwards and the wings bend down if there is no negative G? Otherwise no need to troll anymore... :music_whistling:
  14. No. Here are a few quotes from the manual, which I strongly recommend reading: Hope this helps.
  15. It's not only a HUD repeater. You can also use it to slew the radar off boresight.

    Update

Is this no communication? I would imagine they are quite busy trying to deliver the patch.

    Update

And what makes you say that? There is no indication of such thing.
  19. You can exceed 6 G's and even max out the accelerometer up to 10 G's for a split second in dire situations without damaging anything. From my experience prolonged 7 G maneuvers haven't damaged anything for me so far.
  20. Maybe its just a leftover from AN/AAS-38 "Nitehawk?
  21. From the DCS F-18 manual: Weapon select switch. Four position switch which selects A/A weapon in A/A aircraft master mode. Switch functions are discrete inputs. • Forward: Activates AIM-7, displays the priority missile. Commands a radar antenna four bar elevation, 140° azimuth scan, 40-mile range selection, and interleaved prf. • Center Push: Activates AIM-9 and displays the priority missile. Commands a radar antenna four bar elevation, 90° azimuth scan, 10 mile range selection for AIM-9P and AIM9M / 20 mile range for AIM-9X, and interleaved prf. • Aft: Activates gun and displays gun. Commands GACQ to the radar system, a range of 5nmi, radar antenna azimuth scan of five bars, with 20° elevation scan (vertical scan). Configures sensor control switch to the ACM condition. • Right: Activates AIM-120 and displays priority missile. Commands a radar antenna four bar elevation, 140° azimuth scan, 80 mile range selection for AIM-120B / 160 mile range election for AIM-120C, and interleaved prf. Note: If a target is tracked in STT or as an L&S, the weapon select swich should only change the weapon and not affect radar operation based on weapon selection.
