  1. I used to have DCS installed on my computer on a drive called D. That hard drive crashed a while ago. The problem is, my computer (and the DCS installer) still thinks I have DCS installed on my computer. So, when I go to install DCS using the downloaded launcher, it never prompts me for an install path. That part of the install process is just skipped. If I try to uninstall the app via the windows add/remove software, I get an error message that says windows cannot find the drive specified. However, it does not give me the option to delete the app either, so the app entry remains. If I go ahead with the DCS installer and try to install it, I get an error message that says "The drive or UNC share you selected does not exist or is not accessible. Please select another." But, as I said, it never gives me the ability to select an installation path in the install process. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  2. I would personally love a dynamic campaign. I'm no software engineer so I have no idea how this could even come about, but I do think that having an online (or even single player) dynamic campaign would be great for both DCS and the community. It would drastically increase replayability, and I think it would attract more people to multiplayer. With so many new planes and improvements coming out (Mig-21, AFM for the F-15C and soon the SU-27, as well as new maps andWWII fighters) a dynamic campaign would be a big draw to a lot of players. Here's hoping it becomes a reality sometime soon
  3. Not much love for the Foxbat huh? I can understand why. It's capabilities were very exaggerated and it turned out to not be the doomsday Soviet fighter that many thought it would be. That said, I think it would still be a great addition to DCS for a number of reasons, chief among them (for me) being that it fits a "Cold War Gone Hot" scenario very well. I know that this is not a priority aircraft, but I do have hopes that someday it'll become available as a DCS module
  4. There are a lot of great aircraft to choose from in this poll. While I do think it would be relatively easier to convert the current F-15C to the strike eagle (the base model and flight model is all there. Just would require some tweaks) there's a special place in my heart for the F/A-18 Hornet. I would be extremely excited if this was the next US aircraft module to come out, and I would buy it in a heartbeat
  5. Oculus rift looks like it will be amazing for flight sims. I can't wait until it's both better refined and optimized, and for the actual oculus unit to be more affordable
  6. I would recommend mapping your view look to the hat switch on your joystick. I've been playing like that for months because I don't have head tracking either, and once you get used to it it works pretty well. You'll have to tweak the sensitivity of the axis' until you find the right spot for you, but it's easy to do and the results are good. It should more than hold you over until you are able to get some real head tracking
  7. Nvidia GeForce 660 TI with MSI afterburner. It's a great card, and gives you a ton I power/performance for the price. I'll be sticking with it for the foreseeable future
  8. I nominate cliffy229 and Briguy to receive most glorious Mig-21bis
