  1. Interestingly, I've just gone through the whole tiresome business again. This time it worked lol. I'm happy and calm now lol
  2. Apologies. You're right. I don't cope well with frustration over tiny things like this lol. I would say that the standard of the training missions are piss poor compared with the youtube vids available. As the bug's only in the training mission, I can live with it. :)
  3. Please go back through the thread. I've done EVERYTHING you're supposed to do.... Don't get snippy just because you've not read my replies. It's a bug in the training mission. I can get them to launch in all the other missions.
  4. So it appears there's some major bug in the training mission where you can't kill the tanks. Oh well. Back to trying to learn how to barrel roll lol.
  5. Yup, doing all that Alan. Ah, hang on. This is happening (or not happening) in the Training mission on Mavs. I've just tried a completely random mission, and set everything up as it should be, held down wep release, and BOOM! Mav launched. 2nd best release of the day.
  6. Look I know you all see 1000 posts a day from retards who can't read, or follow instructions, but I absolutely promise I've done everything you need to do. - Weapons page Mavs are "RDY" - Mav Page, set to SPI, locked on target, with crosshair flashing - Range.... well from 5-0.5 miles. - Release Wep button held, not just clicked. This is seriously doing my head in. I've even tried mapping the wep rel button to something else in the extremely unlikely event that it's my brand new joystick. It's not that.
  7. I've followed the training to the absolute letter, yet nothing happens at all when I hold down the release button (no messages, no weapon release, no hung stores message, nothing). I've read the manual, I've read help on here, and I've found absolutely no reason for the mavs not to fire. I'm getting so frustrated with this, so I thought I'd ask here. Hope someone can give me a clue as to what is happening (or not as the case may be lol).
  8. Who was comparing it to other HOTAS sticks? It's an expensive stick compared with the one the guy has already.
  9. I'm sorry, but the X-52 is not inexpensive. It's a fantastic stick, I agree, but it's not cheap.
  10. Great stuff. Thanks guys. I have looked up a few videos. Good lord. Corrigan wasn't kidding.... The start up sequence alone looks nuts. I guess I shouldn't just read about this kind of thing lol. Downloading now......
  11. So presumably that means it flies more realistically?
  12. Hello, This is my first post, but I've been using DCSW for a while now and having a blast. For what is basically LOMAC rebooted, it's fantastic fun. Especially since I ditched my 12 year old MS Precision 2 (I know, lol) and bought an X-52 Pro. I bought FC3 as it had the most planes available for the money. I do have a question though. Obviously, there's an A-10 (the "a" variant) in the FC3 bundle, but there's also the £30 standalone version (the "c" variant). When I try and research the main differences, all I get is the clickable cockpit. Is it a gimmick? Please be as honest as you can. I like clicking buttons and stuff, but it has to feel like I'm actually doing something. Thanks for any input.
