  1. Those are for pitch and yaw. The Aileron Limiter is just resistance on the stick on the real plane and not a SAS system. If you try to disable it, you'll see that it has no effect on the Aileron Limiter. You have to hold the button (which isn't present on the real aircraft) down every time you want maximum aileron deflection. That's not permanently disabling it.
  2. Can't find any way to permanently disable the Aileron Limiter besides using a FFB stick. Can we have an option to disable it?
  3. Tested in Open Beta DCS 1.5.2.48162.126 1) SPRD isn't mounted yet, if you perform step 4 nothing happens 2) Ask ground crew to mount SPRD 3) Ask ground crew to remove SRPD or replace with ASO-2 4) Flip the SPRD switches and push the SPRD fire button 5) MiG-21 starts moving on its own!

  5. Like all modules the DCS MiG-21 has small discrepancies from the real life version for various reasons but RWR modelling is an important gameplay issue. A few posters have pointed out that according to the original English translated manual the RWR should still provide direction indication whilst the MiG is being locked on at more than 3-5km and the frequency of the beeps increases as the threat closes in. Perhaps the English manual is inaccurate. There's a Russian language SPO-10 technical manual that might shed more light on the RWR's functionality. Knowing the direction and rough distance of the threat whilst being locked on grants pilots more situational awareness that is sorely lacking in the MiG-21. It's that much easier to put a threat on your 3/9 line. I hope the devs will look into this problem as it has major gameplay implications.

    Chaff bug

    Tested in 1.5.1.47285 Update 2. I start the mission with 64 chaff and press the drop countermeasures button, nothing happens. Flares work just fine. When using 32 flares 32 chaff I end up with 16 chaff leftover and then the button refuses to fire the remaining chaff.

FPS is great now but I noticed that on a blank mission with just one player MiG-21 parked at a rural airbase the game can only be sped up to around 10x faster on my machine before stuttering becomes noticable. Whereas an A-10C can go up to 50x. Are there a lot of scripts running in the background even though the plane's systems aren't switched on? That said, I guess what really matters is 60fps during gameplay.

    Mousewheel control

    This is nice. One thing I would suggest would be to increase the mousewheel speed of the radio volume knob. Weapon selector doesn't work too well as an axis since you can't keep rotating it past IR/SAR pylon 4 to reach bombs pylon 1-2. If it's accidentally dragged it can end up in between selection options too.
  13. According to the manual: "The ASO container needs to be powered up: since the ASO is mounted in the SPRD mounts, make sure you turned on SPRD power and drop switches (RH50 and RH51)." In 1.5 Open Beta hotfix 3, chaff and flares can still be dropped with those switches off. SPRD still requires the switches to operate. Is this intended?
  14. A minor problem but the R2-US, R-55 and Kh-66 all have the rocket exhaust coming out of the antenna rather than the nozzles on the sides.

    Duplicate weapons

    Could LN use ED's R-3R and S-24B like how the R-60M was merged in the past?
  16. While not necessary, the SARPP display and a functional gun camera would be nice to have. Different RSBN stations makes it a bit inconvenient when flying together than L-39s since we use different channels.
  17. How I can reproduce the bug. 1) Stock 1.5.0.45208 2) Booted up the game 3) Loaded instant action "Take Off" 4) Clicked on the SPO-10 to switch to night time colors 5) Pressed the test button on the SPO
  18. I would like to suggest that commands linked to buttons with protective covers also open the cover if it's closed. Therefore, you can press the same button twice; first to lift the cover, second to push the button. "Weapon Release" is the only button that has this function. How do cockpit builders deal with button covers anyway?
  19. Illumination flares seem to disappear so fast since their visible range is short.

  22. No that makes no sense because LODs exist. There's no reason to make the afterburner effect different up close when the rest of the model is visually identical to a player MiG. No you get blank 0 byte files. Besides, if you play a mission where you don't start on the ramp the switch is turned on.
