  1. The bind named Cannon changes you to air to air guns mode, the bind named weapon fire fires the cannon. This may be your problem
  2. AviatorMoser Try step 1 in this http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=136153. The same thing happened to me and it fixed it.
  3. From what i know and i might be wrong the f15 is limited to 96% rpm unless VMAX switch is pressed. This lets you go to max rpm for 5-6min it is however not implemented.
  4. I would also love an su15 its one of my favorite soviet aircraft and seems to have been mostly ignored in the flight sim world. Maybe because of a lack of readily available information.
  5. This is the main one to follow. At-least for me its the reason i pop my tires turning onto the runway with a full load.
  6. Also you have to hold the button down for a while before it will start to drop countermeasures.
  7. If it is illuminated you might just need to get closer. I also don't think force correlate is as effective anymore. Or at-least i remember reading something about it being changed, but i might be wrong about that.
  8. The AGM-65H won't work in low light. You need to use the AGM-65D.
  9. OK well i guess i just misinterpreted what the manual was referring to. But it seems a bit strange to me that it would say it like that if it does not actually affect anything in that way.
  10. I am talking about The radar scan pattern not the whole scan zone. the bold text in my previous post as i see it is referring to the This image shows how a radar scans inside the scan zone which is what i am talking about. That is how you can change the elevation coverage of the scan pattern you use less or more bars and with some radars at-least you can change the beam width as well. As you can see the less bars you use the more concentrated/ focused the radar is. It will get a picture faster but of a smaller area of the sky and potentially have better detection capability. Again this is what i was mainly pointing to and i cant see meaning something else as they are being quite specific. But yes in the sim it might be simplified to a 4 bar scan at all times that is 10 degrees in elevation coverage. Or at-least that's what people used to think and i don't know if the way the radar worked ever got updated.
  11. If you read my first post i say But yes maybe i said that in a round about way so i understand if you did not get what i meant. Holimoli i thought he was saying the radar cone was 60 degrees in height. Also from the manual The expected (manual) range to target (often derived from AWACS and GCI data), as set by [RCtrl-+] and [RCtrl--] keys and is indicated at the bottom of the HUD under the azimuth coverage bar. The elevation coverage of the radar scan pattern is calculated from this parameter. The expected relative altitude of the target with respect to your aircraft, as set by the [RShift-;] and [RShift-.] keys is indicated on the right side of the HUD, next the elevation coverage bar. This parameter is also used to calculate the scan pattern elevation coverage. I take this to mean depending on range and relative altitude the radar adjusts the number of bars and or the beam width used in the elevation scan pattern to optimism detection capabilities depending on relative altitude and range of the target. At close range you will be getting a stronger return signal than you would at long range so you can use a wider elevation scan pattern. Whereas at long range you may need a more focused pattern to get a detectable or more accurate signal return. I imagine there is similar functions based on whether it is a look down or look up situation. But anyway as i said it might be simplified in the sim.
  12. I don't believe the elevation scan is 60 degrees. You might be thinking of the maximum antenna tilt, they are different things. The elevation scan coverage changes depending on the set range and altitude (At least with the real radar it might be simplified in the sim.) and is probably closer to 10 degrees.
  13. I'm not sure what you mean. In the su27 Even if your display range was 500 it would still show the targets on the bottom of the HUD and if the display range was too short they would be shown at the top. Also the The target on the hdd is a data link target. You can tell because it has an open triangle on the back rather than a closed one. edit: Sorry i did not see your post before i posted this maybe because i had not refreshed the page in a while. Anyway if you set up the radar range and altitude properly you should be able to see at least the f16 as it seems to be coming towards you. As said before the a10s will be hard to see till you get closer as they are close to flying perpendicular to you
  14. The radar on the su27 points the center of the scan cone towards the point in the sky you set and holds it there. The distance ahead of you is set with the number at the bottom of the HUD in Km. The altitude above or below you is set with the number in thousands on the right of the HUD. e.g. if you set to 25.0 and 3 it will center the scan cone and hold it on the point 25km ahead of you and 3000m up. I should also say that the set range will not stop the radar from detecting targets that are further away than the range you set. In your case Lower the scan cone by 1 as they they look like they are about 1000 below you and increase the scan range by 50 as you know the range to them is around 50km. In situations where you don't know the range i like to set just the range to 30km and keep it there while just changing the relative altitude. Are they flying towards, away or perpendicularly to you? I cant really tell from the screen shots but it looks like the a10's are flying close to perpendicular so they may be hard to detect you might find them with med PRF.
  15. I'm not sure, i think they are still working on it but maybe its not high priority right now with 2.0 and everything related to that. I would personally like to know if we will ever be able to use the data link with other players in the same flight in multiplayer.
  16. Try that in any of the ww2 birds you will have the same problem, probably even more pronounced. The only planes that don't do that at all, at least in my experience are the ones that still have SFM's ( Su-33, Mig-29). To me it just sounds like you are trying to pull to hard. So As FSKRipper said if you think i am wrong or something is wrong with the flight model upload a track so we can see what is happening and what you are doing.
  17. The numpad is a good place to map them, its the view control on every aircraft by default but seeing as you have track IR you don't need that anymore.
  18. Yea you are right, i think i have only really heard of it being used in reference to PVO strany, whether the VVS did that very often i am not sure.
  19. The Russians actually made air to air Anti-radiation missiles. The R-27P and R-27EP although i don't know how common they were/are.
  20. Click on the binding in "axis commands" then press "axis tune", its down the bottom. In the window it opens select invert.
  21. Defiantly give that a try it seems to have fixed it for me.
  22. I just did a quick test and that seems to have fixed it. Thanks for figuring that out.
  23. I don't mean to sound demanding or impatient as i am sure you are busy with higher priority stuff. But it would be nice to have some idea when this may be fixed because it is a bit annoying trying to avoid fighters and attack sam sites without the lock warning. Also i did not mention this in the original post but everything worked normally in the 1.2xxxx versions.
  24. you should just be able to map all but one of the scroll wheel presses from in DCS. Or at least i use them for drop tanks in mig21 and the boat switch in a10c and i don't remember changing anything in SST to get them to work.
