Hey, I have both the F-18 and the F-16 which I purchased 3 days ago. I bought the F-16 because I wanted a pure dog fighter, whilst I am getting better it doesn't run rings around the opposition. The F-18 is fantastic, you can do so much, I would recommend the F-18 without hesitation.

Kneeboard wows So I downloaded version 1.8.0.3, unzipped it and ran the exacutabe, nothing happened. Downloaded version 1.7.1.1, did thesame procedure and nothing happed. Oh well .... decided to play DCS without the Kneeboard Builder. Now DCS opens in a small window which after 30 seconds becomes black and nothing happens ..... Any advice :( Win 7 Pro 64 bit

When I try to updat DCS it tells me that "The installed version 2.5.3.24984 is up to date" ?

Could it be the verison of the DCS or Module, I bought and downloaded it about a month ago ? I'll try an update.

So in the mission editor I've selected the "GBU-12" and it shows up on the MFD as "82LG". I believe that that is correct.

Hi Folks, I've been trying to use the GBU12 however, when in the stores page of the MFD I can select "82LG" but on the left hand side of the MFD I only get the following options "Mode", "Mfuz" and "Efuz" but no "Code". I've watched numerous videos and I cannot see what I've missed, how do I get the "code" to appear in the bottom left hand side of the MFD ? Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks for the info. I'll read through it during the next couple of days. From what I've read so far, the problem with the refresh rate is less important with flight sims than FPS and I have to confess that a large TV would kill two birds with one stone (I'd like to change my 32" TV for something bigger). That said I want to be sure of the cockpit picture quality before bitting the bullet.

Thanks for the imput, yes a touch screen would be nice for the MDF's, didn't even think of that but should I combine it with a biggish TV or stick with a 27 - 32" monitor ?

Thankyou for the response, I was hoping for at least 1080p, with an Ilyama G-Master GB2730QSU-B1. However, since reading a number of posts I understand that bigger is always better so maybe I should look for a 32". No I'm not obsessed with FPS I currently have a gtx 670. The 8" monitors sounds good I'd like to get the MFD's on them for the F-18.

Hi Folks, Just getting back into DCS after a couple of years absence. I've just purchased a GTX 1070 Ti Gaming graphics card and I have a i7 (3.4 ghz) processor and 16 go ram. I also have a 22" Samsung monitor which I would like to upgrade ...... VR or Monitor or TV. I could possibly use my existing monitor for guages etc. and a larger TV or monitor for external views ? Now I'm not overly difficult about the external eye candy however, I do like a good looking cockpit. As mentioned in the title I'm on a budget so 200€ to 400€. Anyway a little advise with possible some product reference would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

Hi Folks, Wonder whether someone can give me a hand, I want to create ADF beacons for navigation purposes on the Nevada map. To test this in the mission editor I've added a UH-1H with advanced waypoint actions : 1) Preform Command > Set frequency > 353.7 mhz > AM 2) Preform Command > Transmit message > Select sound file (morse code "353.7" which I created) > Loop So I have set the radio (in the F-5e), to "Both ADF", set the frequency mode to "Manual", the Nav Mode to "DF" and entered "353.7" mhz. I can hear the morse code received from the UH-1H however, the needle on the HSI just points East. Thank you for any advice

Thanks for your replies guys, I think that possibly the GTX1060 with need too much power (I only have 330w (to be verified)). With respect to the power brick it is an external power source however, there may be a bottle neck when it is received in the PC, I'll have to look into that. I currently have 2 go of Graphics card Ram and, if I understand correctly 4 go will be better and if possible 8 go would be great. I'll have to look into which cards would fit into my tiny PC and again the possible power problem. I currently also have graphics card driver problems, my screen goes black briefly and I get a little box to tell me that "Display driver Nvidia Windows Kernel Mode driver has stopped responding". Something I hope would disappear if I change GPU. I've been trying all sorts of fixes to date to little avail. Anyway, thank you again for your suggestions, have fun !

Hi folks, I wonder whether a techy might be able to give me some advice. I have a Alienware X51 R2 with a 330w power brick, 16go of RAM a Core i7 processer and a Geforce gtx 660 graphics card. In DCS 2.0 I have to have most graphics option at a low setting and get 60 - 70 fps. However, when the action starts ever second or so the fps drops to 20 - 30 creating an annoying stutter. If I replaced the existing graphics card would I be able to run higher settings and get rid of the stutter ? I'm looking at the following cards; EVGA GeForce GTX 960 4Go Superclocked GAMING EVGA-04G-P4-1962 04G-P4-1962-KR or EVGA GeForce GTX 970 Superclocked ACX 2.0 - 4Go EVGA-04G-P4-2974-KR GeForce GTX 970 Superclocked ACX 2.0 - 4Go or GeForce GTX 750 Ti WindForce 2 OC - 4 Go Any thoughts or alternative propositions ? Great landing enigma6584, i'll be trying to duplicate it this evening ! I've been trying to follow the glide slope indicator (hud) all the way in but just before the runway at Creech it drops suddenly and then climbs rapidly which troughs me off. When my speed goes below 140 knts the bird just drops out of the sky ! Possibly because I have set 0 wind ? I've also been having major problems with the brakes although, last evening I put the anti-skid on and it was much better. Does anyone have a video of a landing at Creech airforce base ?

Problem solved thanks to ckelly14, I renamed the Keyboard.diff, I guess that a new one was created and I just had to reassign some of the keys / buttons :) Thanks to everyone for their help !!!!

Thanks guys, Checked not in close combat mode and the keys / buttons don't seem to be binded to anything else ? I'm sure that its something stupid I've done, duh !

Hi Folks, Loving the m-2000c but I can't bind the switch for the radar range selector :( I can find it in the settings under HOTAS - radar range increase / decrease (highlighted in red), I can bind them to my C H Products fighter stick or throttle and even keyboard but they don't work in the cockpit ? Anyone got any ideas ? Thank you in advance
