  1. +1 - Would a nice addition.
  2. @TwoBells Did you do a clean re-install of drivers? Glitches like that are usually down to a hardware issue or overclocking error. If you are running anything overclocked reset to standard and try again!
  3. Hello there! I have used target softwear for well over a year, and have the mig21 sorted and working fine when using the rift. I wanted to programming In the su27 especialy due to it not being an interactive cockpit. I am using latest version of TARGET, I get it working intermediately but this is just "turn on electrics" and won't work again without rebooting both dcs and target GUI. It also dissables alt tab etc.... the only thing I can do is ctrl alt del and close dcs down from there.... bare in mind non of this happens with the mig21 for example. :helpsmilie:
  4. Makes sense, but all I was after realy was if someone wanted to make a system for DCS what should they be looking for, I'm personally not looking to upgrade, I will wait for next generation of graphics cards/processors or the proposed Nvidia 10 series Titan, or ti, performance dependent. :smilewink:
  5. I already tried this, it made very little difference, I'll double check when I get home and confirm!
  6. What would be the recommended hardware for VR in DCS, such as Processor, Graphics Card, Memory. Would you get the most out of a processor or a GPU? Is there a system that you could get a solid (or close to) 90 fps with high settings inc shadows etc, no matter if you are on the ground or flying in a group? I have the following - GTX 980ti Reference, I5 3570k (OC to 4.7 water), 16GB 1866mhz and get (mig 21) 35 to 45 on the ground, using Starway Mod in 1.5 Beta, in the air between 40 and 90 (single player missions), settings - High Textures, Flat Shadows, Distance High, MSAA 16x, PD 1.0 (could be 1.5 if memory serves), V-Sync off, TSSAA off, Mirrors off. Don't get me wrong, I'm fine with DCS VR as is, i'm just curious to know what would be the ideal system. :pilotfly:
  7. No, should I, what are the benefits ?:smilewink:
  8. Lmao, fair point, they look great in the flesh though!:megalol: Confession - It did take me a while to sift through stacks of photos to find a good shot.... Still you cant say the Hog is nice looking. Just found this - [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgDM3O1GtA8[/ame]
  9. For me, I would like to see a British Cold War plane the English Electric Lightning, I live in Lincoln and as a lad they flew out of RAF Swinderby amazing sound from those twin engines.
  10. @npole Not tried MP (ever) I need to up my skillz before I would consider. We were discussing the fact that the Mig 21 runs a lot slower than certain other craft in VR, have you tried something like the M2000? The Mirage appears to run better than the Mig 21 for example?!
  11. @adrianstealth I'm sure ED will get around to sorting out any resource issues , they have a huge task on there hands with what they are trying to achieve (successfully IMO). I am tempted to try the Nevada 2.0 out as it sounds more optimized for VR?. I'm not sure what content it has though such as single player missions, I realy should read up!
  12. I know its not related but I did find it from this post so thanks Hannibal.... Caucasus Texture DLC by Starway..... Mazin' so thanks!!
  13. Done and sorted.
  14. Yeah, I did.... I went from Steam version to the 1.5 Beta made a huge difference. Just tested Mig 21 on Circus is open.mis with PD on 1.5, Shadows Flat, everything else (image quality wise) on high and I found it completely playable 44fps up to around 75fps (biggest drop was to 40 though very briefly). I tried the Mig 15 and the Sabre and you are correct they do run better than the Mig21, perhaps its the cockpit on the 21 causing a bit of slowdown?
