Q: What's the best thing about being a crack addict?
-
With all of the good feedback here I'm 99% convinced I need to buy one - Just going wait for DCS World 1.5 / 2.0 compatibility reports and then I'll be ordering this :D Edit - also does anyone know of a good seat cover for an Obutto? I would like put a seat cover over the gametrix cushion as I think it will be quite sticky to sit on when it hits 45 degrees this summer again, and that way my cat won't try scratch or chew at the gametrix either. Putting a seat cover over the gametrix won't cause it to overheat will it? (especially in the hot Australian summers)

I'd love to see just a general demonstration tbh - perhaps wags can shows a little bit on the next stream :)

I would go straight to the TrackIR5 with ProClip, don't waste your time with homebrew stuff if you can afford it. Unless of course you plan on getting a VR headset in a few months time.

It's been on special a few times in the past. Maybe they have just missed out the flash this time.

that was very interesting thanks!

Well it works in game - so that means it is a USB input device. It wouldn't be too hard to make it actuate the gas cylinder on your chair some how :)
-
That's a nice setup!

Would love to see a video showing the small details of the controls as well as the controls in action :D Once you have finished drooling over them that is :)

a replacement Playstation Portable (PSP) analog stick does the trick nicely with a little bit of super glue. That and an added rubber or silicon cap. you can get all of this for $5 including postage :) The downside is that still get some rotation as you do with the 3D printed part. Apart from replacing the entire sensor I don't think you can get around that.

Very cool - does it improve the accuracy of the slew? (it's either too fast or too slow by default haha) BTW - what is the best type of material to print this from? ABS, PLA, Nylon etc?

Hi All, I have recently found this little application very useful for DCS as well as other games that don't multi-task well with Alt-Tabbing. You set DCS to use window'd mode, and this application maximises DCS to fullscreen - so visually there is no difference. The difference however is that you can ALT-TAB or even move your mouse to other monitors without minimizing DCS which can sometimes cause a crash or at least a very long delay for the game to start rendering correctly. Free version https://github.com/Codeusa/Borderless-Gaming Paid version (same as free, but gives support to the developers) http://store.steampowered.com/app/388080/

As long as my R-60M can lock onto it, then why not? :P Just kidding. It would certainly be interesting - the more variety the better!

yes please :D I'd love to do some VTOL!

nice work!

Please not Logitech, I want this thing to a high quality product....

These are great- thanks! I wish that instead of people making their own games, they'd just become a 3rd party for DCS instead. Instead of making their own harrier game, I think they would be much better off leveraging DCS World. It means they wouldn't have to create a map, the huge library of ground, air and naval units, probably some overlapping armaments, multiplayer interface, trackIR and oculus integration etc etc. That would allow them solely concentrate on their aircraft and missions, which is a big enough job in itself.

As others have said - DCS : A-10C is made for the TM Warthog HOTAS, well actually the other way around. Perhaps they are made for each other :) I found these guides very useful http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=324154615 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=213629603
