I would enjoy the F-105, F-104, F-5 and especially the F-4. I really enjoy Vietnam era aircraft.

I can see fuel tanks on my server. I don't know if anybody else could see though.

Even in BVR I have killed my fair share of F-15s using the Super 530. Its just knowing how to avoid missles until you can get close. Even though I have been shot down mostly by AIM 120s its still a fun challenge. This is my honest opinion as well.

I have it and I have no problem dogfighting F-15s and SU 27.

I like VF-31 the best

I have not heard or read anything about this, but having migrated from steam to the stand alone I can tell you it really isn't that hard. the worst part about it is downloading all of your modules.

I believe you have to wait for DCS to update

Well if you look at some of the update videos and pictures over the dev time, it looks more like a full module to me.

I think the F/A 18E model looks great and the fact that some of the parts aren't right doesn't bother due to the fact that it is still in development. Also, I don't think they would put this much effort into a module and not have a plan for A2G and if he has to take time then let him id rather have a really good module than one that was rushed. But that's just me

The server I run has them and I have seen some servers advertise that they have them, you might just have to look into some of them :)
