  1. Skywalker, the JFS always successfully starts within DCS, and as soon as the main engine gets above 12% RPM, which always happens when you run the JFS (regardless of if you actually start the engine or not) the accumulators start getting recharged.

What people are referring to I think is when the JFS fails to start, if that happens then you need the ground crew to recharge the accumulators.

  2. I've had zero problems deploying the BLU-107 in both Auto and CDIP. The one thing that made all the difference for me was changing the BOT (Bomb on Target) Option, This is found in the top right of the AG armament page after you've set up the ripple of the BLU-107.

What this does is change the point in the ripple that the HUD symbology is targeting for, by default it set to CTR which means the jet is trying to give you release info for the center of the string of bombs. This causes many problems with bombs that have a very short fall time, like the BLU-107 or any of the retarded bombs. Changing this setting to 1, which means the jet is giving you aiming symbology for the first bomb in the string makes everything much more predictable. I've had no issues since changing this setting. Of course if you're using Auto mode you should place the target point at the beginning of the runway, not the center.

Ok. So if the bombs didn't have gps they would have the same drift as the plane, presumably the plane would supply the bomb with what it thinks is the current position at drop, and would have hit the target?

There's no guarantee that the INS in each bomb and the aircraft would drift in the same direction by the same amount so I doubt that would be the case.

can anybody tell, if the AGM 130/GBU 15s gonna drop in the next 3 to 6 months.

Without a crystal ball or a time travel machine, Nobody outside of the developers knows when they will arrive.

  5. The turkey feathers are presumably done using an animation argument so they should be available for custom skins as well if wanted, but it will have to be defined by the description.lua in the skin folder.

i got a refund, lost patience waiting and no idea of a release date but pumping out youtube videos

I mean... You do you, But this is exactly the same as what ED did with the AH-64 pre-sale.. Went on pre-sale in October 21 and released in July 22.. Bunch of videos between that time. I really don't see the problem.

Note: I fly entirely VR. I don't understand the appeal of hiding half of the real estate in the cockpit behind a semi-humanoid looking monstrosity. Razbam seems to be doing an admirable job of making a human-looking pilot body, much better than what you see from most developers / sims, but it still is a big immersion breaker for me to look down and see someone else's legs, torso, arms, hands, etc blocking half of the cockpit. I find it even more distracting should I happen to move my legs, hands, etc, and the pilot body remains lifeless. Just one guy's thoughts. 🙂

That's funny because I feel the exact opposite way. Looking down at the cockpit and NOT seeing a body is a big immersion breaker for me. After startup I show the body and it stays that way until landing usually. I have show/hide as a HOTAS binding so I can always flick it off if I need to, but I rarely ever do.

  8. It will release with the full LANTIRN suite, the LITENING and SNIPER will come at a later date with the "CTU" update packages.

    Further clarification is needed.

Not really. It will launch with LANTIRN, then expect a CTU with the newer UFC and LITENING at a later date.
These will most likely be mission editor "Additional Properties" selections, so the CTU is mission enforced so that a mission maker can limit equipment.

What needs to be clarified about that?

I hope you realise that you can adjust when the throttle goes into burner by using the “user curve” and “slider” setting in the axis tune window. It’s a bit of a faff but I have successfully tuned the throttle axis on all modules to match up with the physical gate on my throttle. It’s far from ideal way of doing it. But it’s possible. Here is a good tutorial.

This is all a bit off topic though as anybody who has a hardware throttle gate doesn’t actually need a control binding option to disable AB.
