  1. Hey guys , this is the final release of the video i ve been working on this last month.

Its called Intruder and got by the way another name by some team fellas which is FighterOps due to the long time needed to make it :D

Its my first REAL attempt at LO videos and editing software so let me know your thoughts about it :pilotfly:

  2. Hey guys

Want to point out that the AdA mod is not working when the LRM is on.

We tried lately with <51>Case to sort it out and it stills in progress.

Anyway we need Yoda's feedback to make significant improvement about that issue and currently and according to Case it seems that the problem comes from the payload numbers.

    Regards

  3. Many thanks mate ;)

Well on the 1st chart , i guess its the instantaneous and sustained ROT for the fulcrum and the flanker , well as far as i can see they have the same corner speed for both instantaneous and sustained but the flanker gets the best ROT in both cases. But i noticed also that corner speeds are slightly lower at higher altitude (from chart2) is that logical?

Another question from chart 1, what is the best "effective" instantaneous corner speed for the flanker? i am talking about effective because of the 9G limit. If we refer to that chart, the best instantaneous ROT would be about 740km/h but when taking the 9G limit into consideration it would rather be 600 km/h ...Any thoughts about that?

And oh yes another one this chart is based on 13.000 kg of weight for the mig...but what about the flanker 's weight knowing that its about 16.000 kg when empty and 20.000kg at 40% fuel? we all know that weight plays significant role in determining maximum instantenous and sustained ROT.

    .

  4. I have done an extensive reshearch but coudnt find something about the LO fighters turning performance charts (turn rate mainly), Somethink like V-Diagrams or some charts representing the effect of altitude and weight on corner speed and therefore on turn rate.

If i missed them somewhere here please to redirect me otherwise does anybody have some external sources?

Just a reminder: Im seeking Lock on FC charts not real ones as it might be quite different.

    Regards

  5. Button 33 and 34 will appear very fast if u want to customize buttons inside LO options. when it happens press clear then change again and immediately press the button u want. try and try again and u will be able to get faster that those 33 and 34 buttons.

However if u use the LO options to customize the x52 buttons u wont use the maximium potential of the control system.

I advise to run the SST programing and create profiles that u will load on windows before starting LO.

    Good luck!

  6. DCS is the future but LO stills the present.

Any LO improvement will be definitely welcomed by a very dedicated community.

Even in marketing policies, we try to maximize profit from an existing product although in life cycle final stages.

Some guys even ready to help to enhance the LO experience...so why not ? definitely worths the shot.

Personnaly, i would love to see any new flyable fighters and/or something like 21st century LO patch with a weapon updating specially for the BVR.

  7. IMO, current or a hypothetical upcoming patched LO version definitely worths the ride untill DCS comes up with enough fighters modules to make a HvsH multiplayer environment.

LO strenght is clearly the ability to fly several modern fighters and bombers at a medium realism level with awesome graphics.

BS invites to fly the Ka-50 with outstanding realism level sure but with no more choices. And this is understandable giving the amount of work needed to release such a masterpiece.

Just wondering what computer specifications will be needed in future to run DCS with the RedTiger most wanted modules ;)

  8. Air Hawks Virtual Fighter and Training Squadron is recruiting.

We have actually 5 available slots for new comers.

We Fly LO FC and we have our own Fighter Academy.

We accept all skills levels providing that the candidate has gone over all tutorials and basics of LO.

Our main goal is simply to make our pilots among the best in LO community by going over an advanced training program on the SUs, the 29 and the 15.

  9. Do we have Su 27 SM in lockon:huh: :P

I think this mod is making some guys nervous too, their skills were to much depending on GAMING cuz its a game.

    118710.jpg

If the RvE mod becomes widely used in LO then that means that pilots like it and then Haliluya...untill then dont go far into wondering why members are discussing this and that specially when u are not supposed to say that u are making your opponent nervous :music_whistling:..different opinions make better world.

  10. Su-27S/P never had and never will have the ability to carry R-77. Guess what's modeled in LO.

December 16, 2007: The Russian Air Force is upgrading its Su-27 fighters to the Su-27SM standard. This means new engines, with greater reliability and ten percent more thrust. A better radar (AESA) and glass cockpit (flat screen displays and more efficient software) allowed for the installation of a better fire control system. That means the ability to use smart bombs and the latest R77 air-to-air missile. Russia is planning to upgrade at least 200 of their 440 Su-27s to the SM standard. The Su-27 is mainly used for air defense. One regiment in the far east has been equipped with Su-27SMs, and another is on the way. This makes Japan nervous, as the Su27SM is capable of taking on Japanese F-15s.

  11. Attention has to be paid to the "inverted N" (R in Russian).

As long as this R is displayed under "A" (Attack mode) that means that the link (Su radar/ER-EM) is ok.

But and as Mr AS said sometimes we loose that "R" when target goes for beam or pump and we contine seeing the target locked but we dont pay attention the that very important small symbol which disappears meaning that only EOS is locking and that the fox1s are now bullets loosing their guidance.

switching to MED mod can maintain radar locking and therefore "R" symbol on the HUD. but once again if target becomes HOT again( meaning head to head aspect) u must reswitch to HI before loosing link :)

very simple but very important. With that information Su becoming even more dangerous with their BVR capabilities. only problem staying: Blinking :(

    S! AS again ;)

  12. Because of chaffing ok ....but he can turn try to notch or beam as he wants if my radar is in "Look up" profile this is not working. moreover i had stable lock on HUD during all flight.

I whish if somebody can make tracks showing ALAMOs tracking till impact on same map that i used (for same exact parameters).

    Download map here:

  13. Switching ECM on and off is associated to blinking cauz the su would never get a clean shot on you to benefit from long range Fox1s. IMO ECM are not welcomed in A2A fighting specially in an target enriched environnment since u can miss many HOJ shots against u( Friendly or not).

But flying music on can be interesting when u try for example to ruin the ennemy SA for a short period of time (ECMon+radar off+hard altitude/aspect change+ ECM off).

back now to the main subject of this topic as i bringed up 2 acmi files made during a test flight vs 1 M2000-5 with MICAs. same flight parameters but on one track the EM is lethal while on the other EM goes like a bullet. maybe those tracks can help a little bit going trought this LO mistery.

  14. all missiles will loose track including the infamous ET wich does go balistic from time to time.

Thats exactely what im saying Pilo.

I only hope if some LO/ED developpers/programmers tells us how is written the Missiles behaviour code which will explain clearly WHY those missiles just go ballistic and under what circumstances.

we have the freedom to setup the missile effectivness slider button on LO options BUT assuming we have same effectiveness why 2 same missiles fired in same circumstances and facing same defensive maneuvering and countermeasuring and so on will behave differently on LO??

    that is the missed part.

  15. BTW, the AIM-7 in LO has exactly the same seeker model like the R-27R/ER/EM. Same for the AIM-120 and R-77- they only differ in energy (77 is faster) and smoke trail. We have 3 types of seeker models- active, semi and infrared.

But I hear your SARH pain- it pisses me off sometimes when it misses from point blank but I've seen it doing crazy things. I say- it's good for the gameplay, makes you think a bit more.

As i said then ;) some voodoo for our missiles sounds good idea :D

    Thanks guys for your replies.
