I have received confirmation in the ED Discord that it is indeed a bug, which is also known internally and is being worked on.

I will be on away until friday and not at my computer, but on a track you will only see that when flying over the 2nd waypoint, for example, the route is not switched to the 3rd if the route was created in Apache. The same route, created in the editor, works as it should.
