I just converted my stable to open beta. Took about 5 minutes to get it going. Only requires about 3 gigs of data.

Yup, I'm not getting any fps issues at 1440, but I am getting some pretty serious AA issues. When I Jack up the AA settings to max, my FPS drops to around 15, one notch back, I'm at 80-90, but some nasty jaggies are back. Thought there might be a trick I'm not aware of.

Hey guys, After a little bit away, a brand new rig and the release of 2.5 has me coming back. Can anyone point me towards good settings for the in game menu and the Nvidia Control panel? I have a pretty good rig with the i7 7770k, 1080ti, 16g of ddr4. Thanks a lot! I forgot all the tricks and thought this might be a decent thread to make with the advent of 2.5 and, probably, a number of new DCS owners as well as people like me that are coming back. Hey Guys, Sorry if this is the wrong place. I just got a new 1440 monitor and a 980ti. I'm running at about 4.1 on my 4770k with 16 gigs of ram. What settings should I be at with the last few updates? I used to be just fine with a 1080p monitor downscaled to 1440, but now I'm getting the odd stutter when I turn my head with the trackir. I used to have nearly everything maxed with the flat shadows turned on. What's the general consensus now? Thanks so much!

With respect to the bolded: Why is it that timing the release is even a thing? If the computer knows that the most accurate possibility is if you hit the pickle when it gets to the line... why doesn't it just do it? I would understand it as a game design, but that's not what this is. the A-10 does that too, right? What's the reasoning?

Yup, I get that part. Just wanted to know if there's another comparable monitor, that has all the features of the Benq I listed, that is cheaper. If it has G-sync.. great.. if not.. whatever! Thanks for the reply! I almost peed myself when I checked that, but the one I listed is 2560x1440 native. Close!

I recently got a 980ti and my 1080 60hz monitor seems a little silly at this point. I can't go crazy, but i'd really like the Benq XL2730z http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824014451 I really don't want to go over this price point (this is really pushing it as it is!) My question is, I've noticed that monitors with G-sync are much more expensive than comparable models without. This one has "Free-Sync" which I know won't do me any good with my nvidia card. Is there a monitor out there either with G-Sync or without either that checks all the same boxes? resolution, refresh speed, quality, etc... that's cheaper? I can't find another model that has all of these qualities for less. In other words, am I throwing money away on free-sync? Should I be looking somewhere else? What do you guys think?

Thanks for that, it clears up a lot on my end. I love this aircraft, it's pretty much all I fly anymore. But sometimes it's frustrating/confusing when you don't know if something is intended, wip, or buggy when a plane isn't quite finished. Thanks again!

To get this straight, I need Magic II Select and Close Combat Select bound to my hotas. This is all I need to cycle through all the types of radar lock varieties and guns. Right?

Since I updated, I'm getting dragged to the right uncontrollably on takeoff, so bad it causes... tragic consequences every time. Honestly, I don't know if it's a bug because nobody else is reporting it, but I'm not doing anything different. Thoughts? EDIT: OK. Strike this. It's only on one mission that it's doing this. It will require further testing! Thanks!

Sorry for the noobert question.. What Curves, Deadzone do you guys use with the Mirage? It seems a little too twitchy with my X52 pro, especially when trying to do something that requires finesse like AA refueling or landing. Thanks!
