  1. my bad drac, lack of coffee,will chk it out further, im noticing this on some of smaller runways too, will get some vid. Setting missions up in ME, maybe im not activating something. ty.
  2. And what is your point?..To troll?.....a "Bump" is to draw attention to this issue, Because the runway lights still do not turn on in some instances. Are we just figuring out the internet today? I see the frikkin answer and it still doesn't work on some runways ok?
  3. or in mission editor you could add static smoke effects anywhere on runway or positions one on either side of runway to direct you. The ATC command only works on larger airports it seems.
  4. great idea! ....shirts with the module of your choice and a DCS logo somewhere too..caps, mugs etc. Im sure it'd be somewhat profitable.
  5. Just noticed this today, after crash landing in mossie without destroying craft i then ejected onto the wing and the ailerons/rudders were still responding to my stick movement...small but odd bug.
  6. The OP's original post i agree with, as well as making building textures less bland and added variation in color of bldg.'s without a fps loss. Red brick, tan, yellow, maybe some green. The new updated lighting in PG map is nice, but while flying in daytime the landscape appears sterile imo.
  7. Starting this thing is wonky...Whats the mystery to it....I can get one engine to start, let it get to 11%.Same procedure with 2nd engine, but it never gets to 11%...Then power drains.....you gotta exit out and try again?
  8. Using the F15C, One small bug i just noticed in ME was there's an area where it says "civil" where it lists the weight and ammo rounds. When you "check" civil plane the ammo disappears as it should i guess. But when you recheck this "civil" box the ammo is not loaded. I went to where you choose the different loadouts/skins and made sure there was indeed ammo, in this case i was only using guns, but nothing fires even tho it said ammo was there from the previous screen. Ultimately i had to delete the flight from ME and reload new planes then it worked. thanks in advance for the support
  9. Agree, and with so much water on these maps i'd love to see more float-plane type fighters or supporting craft, such as the PBY Catalina etc. or a Zeke floatplane.
  10. Rgr that guys, finally got it working in beta, tho i never use FF and i always (i thought) always in Simulation mode. One thing i overlooked is the "Synchronize cockpit controls with hotas at mission start" . I don't use a hotas just an old twisty rudder stick M$ Precision Pro...Yeh i know, but it works lol....So i dunno if the synchronize had anything to do with it......possibly? I hadnt flown much since this last current update and had to copy over all my plane stick/key profiles back over. Even uninstalled the whole game just because of this trim issue....This game is a quirky beast at times...But seems to be good to go..Just checking the stable version now. thanx for helping me dig deeper and not give up!!....cant live without trim :) ~S~
  11. Hey guys, I notice in the current beta the 51's trim wheel spins but does not do anything (left,right, up and down) I don't use a hotas for trim, only keyboard. I see the bindings listed and even cleared them but to no avail. The stable version is ok, and i have tried different AC in both versions of game and they work, except the 51 in beta. Now i know the obvious answer is just to play stable version, but most of my team always fly beta...Anyway, am wondering if anyone else has noticed this. ~S~

  14. Backup and save your Drive:\DCS.openbeta\Config\Input folders, copy to USB. If i've added an aircraft or mod i will save this folder each time to my flash drive, that way nothing gets f'd up everytime you load the game. Onething i noticed is if you were flying one type of aircraft then load a mission and select a different aircraft, the previous aircrafts setting will be loaded as well. so when your in mission or whatever make sure you load the correct planes stick/binding keys, even tho the correct plane is listed there. Just load the correct plane and save profile and begin. This happens time and time again. Like in multiplayer, my host loads up a P51 mission, then next mission an F86, when you go to your settings you will see F86 selected but you need to load and save that planes actual profile. It's nuts!
  15. Hmm, haven't tried that. I just copy the whole folder of (F:\DCS.openbeta\Config\Input) to a usb drive "F" being my SSD drive. The input folder will show every aircraft , including any mods you downloaded and their settings. Once your game is installed to your new PC just copy that "Input" folder over.
  16. lol funny picture......I hear you tho a smaller map would be nice but ED are trying to keep everything as a pure simulator as possible, even tho the huge f10 map covering your screen isnt realistic......But at this point i'm glad to have it....Best thing is not use it in a dogfight at low altitudes....
  17. I've seen this type of map you speak of in a spudknocker f86 tutorial, i believe it is a module (NS430) as mentioned above.
  18. Love it, at first i had issue with the wonky nosewheel steering till i got use to it. Then the issue with guns dropping way after a bogey in my reticle, managed to leave gunsight caged and point the plane a lil higher in a turn fight with those uber Mig15's. got more consistent lead on target. Landing gear is very delicate and must not be opened above 250mph/knots due to damage...Other than those minor issues i had, I added some deadzone to my axis settings and cranked my pitch roll to 40-45..It flies sweet now. Need more practice with bombing, as my team usually just dogfights and tosses A/G rockets, a nice change from the ww2 props we are devoted to flying.

  21. rgr that, Launch is the "U" key i believe or "Ship Launch Position" in key bindings...cut throttle after u get your wheel right in front of the wedge, press U and it'll line up automatically. Then Pwr up and it shoot ya off. I tried with one of those ai stuck at the end = fail!
  22. ^^^ Yep great module, every update is well implemented Tho havin a problem with AI getting stuck at end of runway off carriers, namely the CVN Stennis atm. anyone else get that?..dunno if the plane or something with dcs itself.
