I played the original and it was definitely one of the best freeware campaigns out there. Will definitely give this new one a go thanks! With the old version I had to go in the mission editor and do something to be able to play single player. Do I need to do this as well or can I just jump in and go?

To kind of add to this, I don't know if this was always the case but when you switch to the CPG seat and look at the mfd and tads, everything seems to be shifted to the left in relation to the actual seat in the cockpit instead of everything being centered. Has it always been like this because I'm just now noticing it? -
301 REDSKINS - Apache mini campaign Syria

Gonna give this one a test later today. Been itching for something to do in the apache -
It might be the trigger guard. You should be able to assign a button for that

Well, got my answer, no I don't need to assign the lazer first trigger. Second trigger, continuous lazing, works.

Saw the video by wags about the target state estimator and was wondering, is the first detent that fires a quick burst of the laser absolutely necessary or can I just use the second detent to continuously fire the laser and still have the TSE do its thing. I'm starting to run out of buttons on my joystick here and the FCR isn't even out yet lol

Oooh I misunderstood then, thanks for clarifying! -

Yeah I did set the missile seeker as the acquisition source but I wasn't getting the big box on the tads that would indicate the missile sees the lazer. I will try it again and report back, I did set the lst code to the new one the guys gave me and also believe I did set the missiles to look for the correct code but maybe I missed a step. -

This was a nice little mission, well done! I just have one little problem. When the guys on the ground says they're lazing the target building, after setting the new code they give me, the missiles can't seem to pick up on it, and there is no jtac menu to turn on the laser. -
I find that if I'm flying too high for the radio altimeter the range won't go into auto, maybe that's the cause for you?

and i decided to try my hand at a little bit more advanced video editing, and by advanced i mean doing a lot more splitting, pasting, and synchronizing. It still isn't as good as i'd like it but for something done in 1 day as a beginner, it isn't too bad. [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fhSN7zulH3Q[/ame]

The term simulation has been watered down over the years and is slowly becoming blended with "game" because of people who don't understand how something works. Yes there are various level of simulation but DCS has always struck me as an advanced simulation. I say, if the darned thing has a jammer that powerful and you can simulate its operation accurately, then go for it! +1 for radar blinding cancer causing jammer!

I tried replacing the textures and did a quick test flight, it appears to work better now, will have to test further. The file sizes are around 1.2gb
