I hear everybody saying: The 109 is an easy plane, the 109 is a master in dogfighting, you should be scared of a 109. The 109 does loads of damage etc etc etc - Assuming that I lack a certain competence in dogfighting in ww2 planes, how the hell do I score kills in this thing. I take the vertical like everybody is saying, but I lose a ton of airspeed, stall out, turn over to the left (when enemy is at the right) - I have track IR, the enemy passes me by, I look back to see what the enemy is doing and react accordingly. For example the enemy makes a turn, I do a vertical loop. I do the loop, am above the enemy, but am slow, the enemy goes up, shoots me - I try to do a turn in this thing. Turning does not seem to be a thing in the 109, as I have read it is a boom and zoom fighter, not a turn fighter. Turning is almost certainly death for me. - If I try to do something else, or react to the enemy's movements, I no time the enemy is behind me, ready to shoot me down.... What the actual f am I doing wrong here, since everybody is saying it is so god damned easy. I mean, I am maybe a bit of a noob, but I am not a complete idiot. Do you guys have tips, pointers, youtube clips I can watch etc? Or is it just practice practice practice...

Files seem to be in their correct places... but the sound is not played, just the stock sound, which is quite poo on the stock bf 109

Does this mod still work for 2.5.6? I really can't seem to get this mod working

not really new, just got back into playing again. Never really dealt with release days on DCS, hence my question. I hit the updater a few hrs ago, so will make sure to try again tonight

F16C released? It's the 3rd of October in basically the entire world... heck it's even 4th of October in some parts, but I don't seem to be able to download the Viper it seems. Tried updating already, but still no cue that I can download it. What's going wrong? Or most likely: what am I doing wrong? Or is it still not out yet?? A

Hi guys, I have a question for you. I have been downloading a few skins of late for the various planes that I own. I have looked into the possibility of making some custom skins, and, it's looking to be quite a daunting task for me at least to even comprehend this stuff. My question to you guys and girls who have knowledge of this: Would you be willing to create some custom skins for my F86 sabre, MiG 21 and 15? That would be so awesome! Since I am from Amsterdam, the Netherlands, I would love it to be a dutch themed skin (which I can't find anywhere for any of these planes) In Holland we have a demonstration F16 with an black/orange livery, including the dutch lion in dark orange. See the picture in attachment. Would it be possible to do this? Thanks Anca

Hi guys, and gals, First off, I wish to say I particularly like DCS, I am really impressed and playing only for some 3 weeks now, and wow, this is fantastic. Being new to all this, I was wondering something, and possibly you can help me out with a little 'how to' I currently have the Sabre and the MiG21 installed as paid for modules, however, every now and then an update arrives. Now in Steam, these updates apply automatically, but I have yet to find an auto-updater in the non-steam version. I am using the latter version, so not on steam, so, when an update arrives for a plane, how do I apply it? Download and overwrite or something? Many thanks upfront

Hi, it's me again I created myself a mission, flown around a bit, and now landed at gudauta airport. Parked the damned thing, opened up the canopy, and requested a refuel. No response....at...all.. Any guess to what I am doing wrong this time???:cry:

Hi bignewy, thanks for the welcome, I think i may have found the culprit. My speed was too high (over the yellow marker on the speedometer) i tried lowering under the yellow marker and all went well. Think that might be it, and no bug

I seem to have a nosewheel issue. When trying to land, I make the approach, airbrake, and after speed has been bled off, I lower the flaps and the gear. Then, I find that the aft 2 wheels are lowered, flaps are lowered, but the nosewheel is not.... gear bay is open, and the nosewheel is out just a touch, hanging in an angle. Also, my utility pressure is 0 after I have done this, and it does not seem to go up anymore. It is 0, and it stays at 0. As a result, I can't land the plane properly, cant retract the gear, and try it again. Emergency gear down is also not working. I have this problem when doing a cold start, fly a bit around, and land, so I was expecting I did something wrong... I decided to test it, do a free flight, with all systems nominal. Same problem. What could this be, or what am I doing wrong
