  3. I would also be very happy to wait a year or even longer before brand new features will be implemented. I totally agree to previous post in regards to having the already implemented features just be fixed and working in perfect order. Especially having properly functioning WP input, TACAN, Radar lock and a working Tail Strobe Light in MP. If these issues are addressed, lots of virtual squadrons can have loads of cool and fun missions that are immersive. Leave any new features out until they are functioning bug free and thoroughly tested by test teams, then put it in Open Beta release. I would really like to see any features tested fully and extensively before pushed to OB. Waiting for some feature in a properly working plane is no problem, it will not cause this kind of unrest in communities if it would be done this way. Dear people of Eagle Dynamics, would this be a reasonable thing to ask of you? Have a nice day!
  4. If you are running the VIRPIL airbase mod, then this is causing it. If so, you can search for the SU27 files in the VIRPIL folder, remove them from that mod folder and your IC is good again. Hope this helps :)
  5. Hi, Same issue here, after deleting the folder it only works once after opening it, then when closing it and opening it fails again.
  6. Hi ED, Thanks for the livery template. Would it be possible to supply clean, logo and letter free RoughMet files for the Main_1 (upper side cockpit and rear) and Kil (tail) files? Thanks a lot :)
  7. I have never flown a real F-16 so I can't say if it's realistic or not as it is now, but I also can't imagine that the trim is that sensitive in the real jet. I do have this 'issue' on every single flight as well and if possible and realistic, I'd love to see the trim increments decreased so we can actually trim it nicely.
  8. This is some really great news, thanks ED!
  9. Hello dear ED people, I just want to say thank you for your amazing product, that controls half of my life. So much so, that my wife feels I spend more time on your product, than on her.... But it's worth it! I met many, many great DCS fanatics from all over the world who share the love for combat airplanes, all thanks to DCS. And thus, thanks to all people from ED for creating that opportunity. The new 2.5.6 OB is a new leap forward, and yes there are some issues that prevent us to fly our previous missions, but none the less it looks and feels AMAZING! I'm sure you'll get the major issues fixed soon, so we can go about our daily DCS business. I got word from this post on Reddit: Just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for all those long and stressful hours all you people from ED spend on it. I can imagine the sheer volume of code that is involved, the research, the difficulties and everything. I look forward to DCS core improvements, like the Mission Editor, as that is the key thing that drives complete communities of fanatic DCS pilots. Thousands of hours spent in ME myself over the many years I fly LOMAC/DCS, to try and create the immersive and complex missions that all DCS pilots wish for. Also the weather systems and AI planes/units, as that generates the full immersion of flying virtual airplanes in the missions. I also hope you understand that the emotions some people show on the forums, both negative and positive, are simply because of the LOVE for DCS, not because they hate you. Of course some people should think 3 times and take a break, before pressing the 'submit' button. I am fully supporting all ED people, keep it going strong boys and girls! Have a very great weekend!
  10. MOOSE 4 LIFE! Thanks Sven and all other contributors for the massive and amazing framework!
  11. Hello everyone, We are still open for new pilots, specifically for the following air frames: F-14B M-2000C A-10C F/A-18C All types of helicopters and hopefully soon for the OH-58 Kiowa (which will be super valuable in missions) Please read carefully what we are about and what we expect from a pilot, before you apply. Many thanks and hope to see you in the virtual skies.
  12. Hello all, we are still looking for pilots in most air frames, especially for the F14B/M2000C/A10C/FA18C and also Helicopter pilots. For the F16C we are nearing the full squadron status, we could add maximum 2 to that squadron. If you are interested, please be sure to read carefully what we are about and what we expect from you as a pilot, before you apply. Many thanks and hope to see you in the virtual skies.
  13. Hello, Can anyone point me to the ME Improvement Suggestions thread? Can't seem to find it and I really, really want to see it. Thanks a bunch.
  14. Hi Fuelburner, Check out this post and see if that is what you are looking for :) https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=251051
  15. Hi all, We are experiencing the same issues. Not visible on MP list after a while, but can 'connect by ip' and join the server just fine. Our logs show these: NET: HTTP request dcs:server?ACTION=del&ID=2235504 failed with error 28: Timeout was reached INFO NET: server has stopped NET: HTTP request dcs:checksession failed with error 28: Timeout was reached ERROR NET: Session check failed: 503 NET: HTTP request dcs:server:update failed with error 28: Timeout was reached ERROR NET: Server update temporarily failed. Will try again later. Logs sent to BigNewy. I hope we can find the cause and a solution :)
  16. EUROPEAN BASED – JTF-88 – JOINT TASK FORCE The JTF-88 Battalion is aiming for the most realistic and immersive virtual experience in TAW DCS. We follow real life procedures as closely as possible, use strict and perfect radio communications and train HARD to get to this high level of virtual flying! This type of flight simming is not for everyone, because it requires a certain type of mindset, fierce dedication and motivation to do it right. If you are looking for relatively short, action packed missions which can be played without much in-depth planning and preparation, then the JTF-88 is NOT the right place for you. If you are looking for very realistic, in-depth planned events, where flying to the ‘AO’ means you may have to rely on Air to Air refuel to be able to make it there and back home, following the correct waypoints/altitudes/speeds to be ‘on station’ at the predetermined time (ToT), where the other Squadrons are a key part of the success of the mission at hand, then the JTF-88 is THE PLACE TO BE!!! We create MDC’s (Mission Data Cards) where all important information is stated, then we import this into DCS so every pilot has the info in his Knee Board Map while performing the missions. We use the PERSIAN GULF as our default MAP, but also fly in the CAUCASUS. We focus on both LAND and NAVAL OPERATIONS in every mission, we only use full fidelity modules which are currently the F-14B, F-16C, F/A-18C, A/V-8B, A-10C, M-2000C and all Helicopters. Any upcoming modern full fidelity module will be incorporated as well. We are all very happy and willing to help you get the best and most out of your module of choice, but you are required to train on certain topics where you lack some experience by yourself, without us having to try and motivate you to do just that. This is the type of pilot we are looking for, a motivated and dedicated person who WANTS to be great in all things needed to perform realistic combat sorties, as perfectly as possible in a well oiled teamplay war machine. This requires you to go out and look for ways to improve yourself, so when we actually fly missions together, we will all be at our BEST and only have to focus on the mission at hand and not on other things that may distract us from that. ################### The JTF-88 hold its weekly Mandatory Event on SUNDAY’s @ 1945 CE(S)T (Summer Time 1745Z, Winter Time 1845Z). The JTF-88 hold its weekly Training Sessions on THURSDAY’s @ 2030 CE(S)T (Summer Time 1830Z, Winter Time 1930Z). #################### The minimum requirements for joining the JTF-88 are quite high and are as follows: – Being PRO-ACTIVE, willing to read and learn documents and perfect your skills in your own time, outside of regular training events – Able to fly formation perfectly and able to execute Air to Air Refuel (AAR) in fair weather – Basic experience using Navigation, Combat Systems and Weapons – Experience with using SRS (Simple Radio) and Basic knowledge of ATC Communication – Able to execute a CASE 1 Recovery on a CARRIER; if choosing a NAVAL Aircraft - Able to execute an OVERHEAD BREAK and FAN BREAK together with proper AIRBASE procedures; if choosing a LAND BASED aircraft – Able to speak and understand proficient ENGLISH; Communication is key to success, we need to understand eachother – Using TrackIR or a similar system, or Virtual Reality – Owning one of the following FULL FIDELITY MODULES: F-14B, F-16C, F/A-18C, A/V-8B, A-10C, M-2000C or Helicopters – Owning the PERSIAN GULF MAP ############################# We currently have 3 wings in our Battalion: US NAVY # CVW-88: VF-84 # F-14B VFA-151 # F/A-18C US MARINE CORPS # MAG-44: VMA-231 # A/V-8B VMFA-212 # F/A-18C HMH-769 # HELICOPTERS JTF LAND BASED # TW-66: RNLAF 313 SQN # F-16C 25th FS A-10C SQN # A-10C XXX OPEN XXX # M-2000C #################### If you are interested in joining us, please visit: http://www.TAWDCS.org ####################
  17. Hello everyone, We are looking for pilots in all air frames we have in our inventory (see above post for types). As we recently opened a land based wing (TW-66), where we currently have numerous F-16C pilots active, we are looking for pilots in the A-10C and M-2000C who are looking for realistic flying and procedures. We have no pilots in the A-10C/M-2000C, so if you wish to join and be a squadron leader (if you have the correct skills and mindset for it) we are happy to provide you this opportunity. If you just wish to be a wingman, then there is also a place for you. If you like to have more info on anything related to our community, please visit http://www.TAWDCS.org and look for the JTF-88 Battalion, or post a message here, or PM me here on EDForums. I look forward to meet you! Blue skies, everyone! Kindest regards, Dutch Baron
  18. Hi BigNewy, I appreciate your answer and effort to try and get this issue solved.
  19. Hello, Is there a way to get the dev team to prioritize this issue? I know there are lots and lots of things to do for ED devs, but this issue is not only an immersion breaker. With lots of squadrons worldwide simulating realistic sorties, this TACAN and ICLS issue is a complete mission breaker. In our team we have 25 pilots flying only from/to carriers, for realism sake we have no F10 map visible. So when we go out on a looong mission deep in enemy territory, we come back for our briefed Signal Charlie time only to find out we have no TACAN signal or ICLS, which means we can't find the ship. Combined with the fact we need to spawn 7 carriers in order to have all pilots spawn without massive explosions on the deck, trying to find that 1 carrier that we actually can use for landing with all pilots, proves to be major issue and it's totally breaking the realism factor. Would it be possible for BigNewy to address this to ED? I'm sure numerous pilots and teams worldwide would be extremely grateful! Thank you for reading and hopefully replying.
  20. Any word from ED regarding this long standing issue would be very much appreciated by many of us. Night OPS is a very cool thing, but this is quite an immersion breaker. It seems like a very simple thing to adjust. There are some modules that have very bright lights, as it should be, but most are very hard to see. Hope ED finally replies to this thread and many other threads on this issue. Thanks in advance!
  21. Sorry, double post while using mobile phone. Please delete this post, ED ADMIN. Thanks!

  23. Hello everyone, If you are interested in flying DCS as realistic as virtually possible, we invite you to take a look at our TAWDCS CVW-88 Battalion. We are looking for fairly experienced pilots who already have the basics of flying and basic US NAVY procedures in their minds and fingertips. If you want to go 'balls to the wall' realistic, our friendly community may be the right place for you. Currently we fly only at European times, but we have several members from outside Europe as well, so if your time schedule allows you to fly at our times, you are more than welcome to join as well. Check out this link for more information: https://TAWDCS.org/battalions/hardcore
  24. Hello Heatblur, Can you maybe respond to this 'issue' and let us know if you are aware of it? It is still happening in MP. Many thanks and keep up the great work!
  25. I see this as well, has been present for a long time, hope it can be fixed.
