Did you use the installer to update? If you didn't use that to fix it or check the new readme in the zip for updated manual installation details. From release notes: Externalised sound files (make sure to use the installer!) to allow customisation Basically you have to now have files in the right place or no effects :) Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk

Complete Transport and Logistics Deployment - CTLD
Ciribob replied to Ciribob's topic in Scripting Tips, Tricks & Issues
Thats by design - when the jtac is dead / not accessible the script for it stops - but you can turn it back on again by just calling ctld.JTACAutoLase("somename",1688) again If you're using respawn you should be fine as the group name stays the same If its clone with mist - you'll have to find the new group name to call the init function again Sounds like a bug - i'll have a look. Anything thats not a soldier should be counted as a vehicle Thanks for reporting :) I'll try and have a look! For now thats not something i'm going to add, due to time - sorry I'd give a quick read of the docs here: https://github.com/ciribob/DCS-CTLD and then watch -
This is a bug with the Steel Series drivers and how NAudio handles its sample rate apparently. Just been sent a patch - for now try the using the game output instead of chat (or vice versa if you've already tried that) Should be in the next release :) Yes - Alt + Enter is exclusive mode - so nothing can draw over the top of the window anymore Use the native DCS overlay instead which is drawn by DCS Ctrl + Left Shift + esc to turn it on :) I'd try without the clipping turned on first and see how you go Eventually i'll expose some of the settings so they can be tweaked more easily :) Use the new 1.5.1.0 version https://github.com/ciribob/DCS-SimpleRadioStandalone/releases/latest released yesterday - going to post shortly about it Sorry all for the slow reply! Been very busy :)

Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 9

The warehouses need to be reset after the update. Obviously not intentional :) Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk -
If you have a +G on the overlay , then you are listening on Guard as well as the normal frequency that you see on the overlay. Some radios have a switch to tune directly into just the guard frequency and nothing else, others have the guard monitor option. For the KA 50, I can't actually remember.... Sorry :) but overaly will show what's up. Also - the 3rd shortwave radio was never actually installed in the KA50 (even though there is a switch). I've added support for it anyway but you have to enable expansion radios on the SRS server for it to work. SRS for high fidelity modules (clickable) just takes the settings straight from DCS. Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 9

It was previously - but there are also limitations with how TS syncs data - hence why an external tool was built. I've given the reasons and arguments before but in summary - SRS is supposed to be easy to install and use. It even has auto connect (which TS does not) so you don't even have to know the server. Having it separate from TS also means you can still use TS for your squad if you like - and be in comms with the public on the server. If you're having trouble - I have a support discord, PM me, whatever - and i'll help :) I can see you don't like it, and thats fine as it's not for everyone - but it's here to stay on BlueFlag in the form that it currently is. It does also seem quite popular - both on BlueFlag, check the live map and other places - these are stats from the last week: https://prnt.sc/jikfns (GA just logs startup & the version number with nothing else - so ignore session length etc - thats all crap) -

When trolling becomes an issue, we'll deal with it - we log all connections on the server and can ban by IP. It's easy enough to look for someone that's not connected before, and see if it occurs again if it's the same user. Hopefully it won't as it hasn't for the last year or so. :) Regarding showing who's transmitting and how many are on a channel - these will be server side controlled options eventually. As with all the other SRS things, I try to give as many options as possible to allow the server owners to configure it how they like. You can also see who's connected in the live map and their frequencies that they're on. BF also has preset frequencies listed in multiple places so everyone can know and should tune to the correct frequencies. BF SRS options: Coalition security on - can't hear opposite teams transmissions even if they're the same frequency No line of sight No distance limitations Expansion radios - extra radios added to an aircraft to expand their capabilities Tx rx blocking off - when transmitting you can still hear a transmission We try to be pragmatic - it would be great to turn on all the features but for a public server this isn't feasible. We do want to run closed squadron matches and have done before, with something like that we'd probably go for all the realistic options on. For BF - the feature I want to implement is the currently tuned count. This will just be a number on the particular radio of how many people are on that radio frequency. If it's not liked for what ever reason, it can be toggled off by the server. If there are none it won't be shown. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk -

You're annoyed that your free software gets updates? [emoji14] Also you're annoyed that it simulates a radio? The clue is in the name - Radio :) You have to use SRS like you would a radio, rather than magically knowing who's talking. DCS is about simulation - SRS attempts to simulate radio Comms and has pros and cons as part of it like real radio comms. Fair enough if you don't like it - but if you're playing on BlueFlag without it, you're missing out on a lot. Obviously I would say that, I made one and help make another :D If you have constant integration problems, I'm happy to help. There is a discord for support. 99% of issues can be solved by just deleting the scripts directory in saved games/DCS And using the installer to fix it If you don't like the radio effects on voice, it can be turned off in settings and will sound pretty much like TS. Sorry that's not possible - we still want to make the server accessible to new players as well :) Line of sight and distance are off, if we turned it on people would think it was a bug that people couldn't hear them, plus just use alternative Comms unfortunately. The server is running at 2.2GHz so there's a limit to what we can do. We have a lot of cores, but with 2.5 we need faster ones. We're exploring a few different options (including paid - hence the Patreon) and are very lucky that we have a server donated to us by Blix at all :) Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk -

Sorry for the long reply - unfortunately there isn't an easy answer: local _zone = trigger.misc.getZone("zoneName") _zone.point = mist.utils.makeVec3GL(_zone.point) local _volume = { id = world.VolumeType.SPHERE, params = { point = _zone.point, radius = _zone.radius } } local _listRed = {} -- contains red units local _listBlue = {} -- contains blue units local _foundRed = false local _foundBlue = true local _search = function(_unit, _coa) pcall(function() if _unit ~= nil and _unit:isExist() and _unit:isActive() and _unit:getLife() > 0 and not _unit:inAir() then if _unit:getCoalition() == 1 then _foundRed = true table.insert(_listRed,_unit) else _foundBlue = true table.insert(_listBlue,_unit) end end end) return true end world.searchObjects(Object.Category.UNIT, _volume, _search) if _foundRed then -- FOUND RED STUFF end if _foundBlue then -- FOUND BLUE STUFF end The snippet above gets a zone called "zoneName" and tells you if any ground units are in the zone - with the width controlled by zone size in the editor It'll also fill up a list of red and blue units in _listRed and _listBlue You can go through those lists, and work out what kind of unit they are - to trigger capture Details of what you can do with units are here: http://wiki.hoggit.us/view/DCS_Class_Unit and to loop through a list for _index, _element in pairs(_someList) do -- do stuff with _element like getName _element:getName() end Hope that helps! Sorry its not a simple answer Code above can be executed in DO SCRIPT -

It adds lag, so it's disabled. :) There is a new EWR script available - worth a try as an alternative. Deploy more EWRs to increase its range. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk -

We'll say more when we're sure of what we can achieve. :) Not sure which channel your in, there are 3 posts from today in red HQ - a whole bunch on the main channel. Best thing to do of there are no posts is post! If you do, others will, gather people and plan an attack. No point in just complaining about lack of posts if you don't post [emoji14] Discord isn't for voice in DCS, that's SRS so the voice channel there won't be used much - though people are free to use it for squad comms or whatever Edit: worth pointing out I don't disagree at all, if ed can add planning tools that'll be great! We have some plans for a generals concept. :) Part of it is already available which is the locked discord HQ channels - which are designed for longer term planning and sharing of intel. Make sure to join the Discord and join in: https://discord.gg/mckCvTc Set your nickname to match your dcs name and you'll be granted access automatically. There have been some great posts in red and blue, with blue sharing intel and battle plans especially effectively Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk -
No - not likely too either. Need $100 for the apple developer licence per year and not sure how much use it would be? What were you thinking would be on the iPad? Controls for the radio? If it's that - then if someone is very keen you could build a local web app that could be loaded up in the iPad and sends the commands to SRS locally. There is a UDP interface that switches radios and can set frequencies etc You can install a virtual audio cable which'll record your mic output with the effects of you set that as the pass through output. You can use shadowplay to record all incoming transmissions and effects etc Hope that helps. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk

Agreed, that's the idea I assumed too. It's the fact every single unit, including deployed in a mountain or a forest is shown across the entire map. That's some amazing recce! :D As I say though, not a massive deal as it's just a blue dot on a map, doesn't say what it is and it's only updated at spawn afaik. Would be nice to have some options to control it but it works fine as is. Btw while your here - any idea how we'd diagnose some connectivity issues with the server? Seems that UDP packets get lost in the return to the client - which is why some can't see the server. Checked with wireshark as I'm now experiencing it too. With a VPN server is visible. Without it - my UDP packets reach the server, server replies and then they get lost :( Few people on different ISPs and in different countries are experiencing it but no idea what can be done, if anything, other than use a VPN. The ka50 should not magically know where all enemy units are at spawn. I think everyone agrees on this. However, it appears there's no way to hide the units from ABRIS and also have the GCI of the same coalition see them. I.e ka50 can see blue stinger, but if I hide the stinger, blue GCI can never see it It's a bit of a shame but please don't blow it out of porportion as it has been like that for literally years :) Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk -

Thats interesting - if we set that option than the GCI will also not be able to see the units - I'll have an experiment and see if I can find a good balance or at least just hide deployed units while still allowing GCI to see them -
Looks great! Thanks for the update :) Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk

For the harrier, use the binds in SRS to select a radio. Enable radio switch works as ptt if you like so by holding the radio switch is also transmits :) Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk

Currently no it's a 660ti with 2gb but we have graphics off on the server and I don't really see any gpu usage with gpu-z. It's around 10% usage at most. We have CPU spikes to 100% often on the core DCS is on Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
