  1. So no info on this from anybody? Just the three of us with this issue?
  2. Similar issue here. After the last update piper depression does not work. Rockets will not fire. Have not tried bombs yet.
  3. Hello, Out of the blue the Mig-21 has the control position window on the bottom left and will not go away no matter what I do. I have checked the key bindings and even done a DCS repair and the issue persists. Also a couple switches in the cockpit on the right side panel for the RWR/ATC/WAVE are no longer clickable. Is this a known issue at all?
  4. The SAS is fighting you to some extent because it's trying to keep you straight and level, that's why you need to keep the inputs in during any turns or attitude changes. But I hear you, I can't fly it very smooth either. Level turn while maintaining airspeed in the Gazelle? What's that? :)
  5. Like the title states after disengaging from auto-hover I yaw violently to the left. Even when I anticipate this and have some right rudder I seem to snap left then over correct right before regaining control. I can't seem to do it smoothly. Is there a better way?
  6. Basically I follow what the manual stated. Since I don't have a FFB I don't use the magnetic brake, just the trim. And like they mentioned FFB isn't implemented yet anyway.
  7. Took me awhile to figure it out too, couldn't figure out the key name. The key is called "Start dispensing" under Pilot Collective. Make sure the power is on to the system and the cover above the button is open.
  8. I pretty much only use the S-24's for ground attack. They have laser accuracy and will pretty much take out anything.
  9. It definitely lands hot and fast. Power on landing with little flare. It's going to eat up a lot of runway. No short field landings for this bird. :)
  10. I usually have my curvatures set to 19 or 20. I did read a thread somewhere when the Mig was first released that had recommended axis settings. Off the top of my head I can't recall what they were though. But as far as an "oscillation" goes I don't recall having this occur. The Mig is very trim happy. Every little bit of speed change means you're going to have to re-trim it.
  11. If there is something not working in the Mig other then the already mentioned lighting, I'm not sure what it could be... I can't imagine how hard it is to try making an aircraft for DCS. Considering how every patch DCS releases breaks something. As a developer it must be a hair pulling experience.
  12. I think they already stated they will work on FFB, but it's going to be last thing they implement. Much more important to get the aircraft out of Alpha state (yes I went there), get all the systems fully modelled and implemented first.
  13. Interesting read from a google search of Mk82 blast radius.... "Having dropped thousands of the Mk-82's, a few hundred Mk-81's and Mk-83's and a few dozen Mk-84's: - Mk-82's with "instant" fuze are good for shrapnel, not much blast. We could drop one within 10 meters of a truck and it kept rolling on blown tires. Frags went out a few hundred meters, and I picked one up when following too close to my lead one day. Pissed off crewchief, but no bad damage - thing was size of a hot dog weiner The fuze extender helped with the frags and was great for troops in the open - maybe 30-40 meter lethal radius. We dropped on an AAA or artillery gun one day and had to have the gun within the crater to take it out. Figure 5 meters radius. - The Mk-81 250's had about the same frag pattern as the 500 pound Mk-82. Not much blast, but good for bunhers if you got a 5 meter error. - MK-83's had slightly more frag than Mk-82, but lots better blast. - Mk-84 had great blast, but frags were,'t much more then Mk-82 or Mk-83. They were best used witjh small delays for hard tgts. The newer 2000 pounders with the penetrating design were lots better for hard tgts. I-2000 comes to mind, but that one is 20 years old. "
  14. Perhaps the sighting systems are off in the Mirage. Doing a training mission on a static range with no wind, and the bombs were all over the place. Maybe it has something to do with how the weapons are modelled in 2.0?
  15. Looking like the Mirage will shape up to be a good aircraft. At the moment though I consider it to be in Alpha state considering how many features are either not working or not implemented yet. It looks like we are going to be waiting for the better part of another year before it reaches a finished state. I've already shelved it and am back to the 21. I'll re-visit it a few months from now and see how it's shaping up. Considering the $59 price tag (CDN $82) I was expecting much much more on release.
  16. Thank you for the quick reply! Thats a good enough answer for me. :)
  17. Hello! Just curious if there is a projected outside date for completion of all the systems and functions that are to be modelled in the M2000C? From the track record of other DCS modules we're usually looking at 1-2 years from release of beta. While I'm enjoying the Mirage right now, I feel I'm not going to be able to get seriously into it until all or most of the systems are modelled. Would be nice to have rough timeline. If there has already been a post on this sorry for the repeat I must have missed it, :pilotfly:
  18. Same issue. It seems that the pipper has to be pretty much exactly on the target to get a tone. It took me many tries to get an IR missile lock today. You have to be very very close and rock steady with the pipper on the target. I could ever only manage to get one missile off before I would lose tone, I usually always fire two.
  19. With the latest 2.0 Alpha patch now that the radar doesn't cause a CTD, I've noticed that it is very hard to detect any other aircraft. Made a mission where I had a few L-39's circling. I could see them visually well before the radar could pick them up. Then when I was about 5km or so out the target would appear on the radar for a few seconds, dissapear, re-appear, etc... If I was able to get a lock it would then hold the contact just fine. It almost looks like I have to turn on low speed target to have the aircraft appear a bit easier on radar even though it's flying over 400km/h and I'm cruising at 700km/h. I'm aware of the radar scan area so that's not it. I've tested putting the target at various angles above and below my nose. The only way I can get a lock on an aircraft is to visually fly to it and hope it appears on radar before I get to close. Anyone else seem to have issues?
  20. Tested it out today starting at Creech. No issues with FPS at all. Perhaps it is a Nellis issue?
  21. Works as long as custom livery is turned off and avionics under gameplay set to English.
