  1. Thank you for the detailed update - cheers!
  2. Very detailed update and thanks so much for the great work - she's a beauty to fly.
  3. Same here and got this lovely error message: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\_downloads\Mods/aircraft/F14/bin/F14-FlightModel.dll Bitdefender originally stopped this as a Trojan and I couldn't get past the update (first time ever on my system). I deleted the F-14 module within DCS and updated to the most recent version successfully. However, when I tried to reinstall the F-14 module, same error message came back. I need to fly my KITTEH! ;-)
  4. Same issues for me in R/BL mode and I've also had my Harpoons sometimes hit the water while trying to level out in SKIM mode.
  5. Oops, I should have read this thread before I sent in a trouble ticket asking for a refund to the sale price (nicely worded of course). I am once again a happy customer! DCS: Huey, here I come! Regards,
  6. Voted: You Betcha! I'll take any F-18 model, but would rather see the E Version myself. If VRS can put the Super Bug together, I have no doubt that one could be created/incorporated into DCS (along with a suitable Carrier hopefully)... Regarding fast jets killing A-10's, there's always that risk. But good coordination and TS Comms should help with a few fast jets providing friendly cover. Just bring enough gas in the Hog to loiter in case the AO is still hot. S!
  7. Thanks BigfootMSR, I see it know. I had a few people look at the E-Shop with me last night and it wasn't there for awhile. Glad to see it though. Cheers and S!
  8. Hi all. Has CA disappeared from the E-Shop list recently? I'm able to download it but I can't see where to purchase it. I've installed it and it now asks me for the Activation Code (or to buy it), but the "buy" link goes no where. Any suggestions? S!
  9. Be sure to wait for the HSI to stop moving complety (it aligns itself for about 10 seconds after you apply power), or your Navigation Heading will be off by quite a few Degrees... S!
  10. Awesome! I assume there will be a chance for more Squadrons to participate?
  11. Congratulations 59th! I ghope you have many more years in the Virtual Skies!
  12. Great work as usual Viper.. well done! S!
  13. These are simply amazing... Thanks for all the hard work! S!
  14. I'm just looking forward to the Co-Op possibilities... I know the data link system between the 2 aircraft won't be possible, but you can still broadcast an enemy's location with Lat and Long coordinates. Hawg and Shark drivers.. better brush up on making waypoints in the CDU and PVI / ABRIS... Woot!
  15. Yes, noticed that change in the Features portion of the release notes: " - HARS navigation is defaulting to active at ramp start. With the HARS mode active, you will not get any FPM/VVI in the HUD, and you will not be able to arm the EAC. If you switch from HARS mode to EGI mode after complete INS Alignment, then the FPM/VVI returns, and you can arm the EAC. " S!
  16. Hi guys. as MadTommy asked, did you press the "Load All" OSB on the DTS Load screen on the Left MFCD prior to checking your DSMS page? You will also get this if you changed your weapons load out from the mission default and would have to reload the DSMS. No need to reboot the entire IFFCC stuff really.
  17. Removed.. misread the initial post, as I thought you were asking where to change it once you were in the pit. Looks like you know how to change the cursor slew speed on the LH MFCD... I don't use TARGET for the A-10C Sim... Sorry!
  18. Perhaps you meant "Red Bulls" (and Vodka)? Yummies!!!:megalol:
  19. Points noted Bucic. All I was saying is that real failures happen in flight on both commercial and military sorties. In some cases, they're severe enough to force an RTB. If failures are part of this A-10C simulator, then they have to be dealt with while flying, and yes it can be a nuisance, just like in real life. To me, that's why I enjoy this Sim so much, because you can immerse yourself as much or as little as you want. If you have the option to turn failures off when the mission designer wanted them enabled that extra bit of realism, then whoever is flying that mission can wear rose coloured glasses and enjoy their flight. As someone already pointed out, "to each their own". As for me, It's time to put on my Green Nomex Flying Gloves and wraps my fingers around my TM Warthog and immerse myself into one of Dragon's fine missions... :pilotfly: Gentlemen, it's been a pleasure chatting and I hope ErichVon hasn't been too put off by our own opinions. S! to all....
  20. Agreed with GGTharos... I'm an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer IRL and snags in flight do happen. I have never worked on the A-10, so I cannot speak on it's particular serviceability rate of course. Yes, stuff can happen in flight during a mission and while losing the HUD is an annoyance, the mission itself is probably over to a certain degree. You then have to RTB to get fixed, just like IRL. My point is, if you get battle damage, is it not the same thing and you would have to RTB (depending on the rate of damage of course)? Or is the snag "accepted" because someone flew where they shouldn't have been and decided to be OK with the consequences? For example, I see far too many guys going for GUNZ in a very hot AAA environment, where a sweet CBU would have done the trick from a higher distance. I guess it all depends on how far any of us are willing to take the Sim seriously. Remember, knowing how to Navigate via "Steam Gauges" is just as important as knowing how to expend ordnance, if not more so. I'm not saying anyone here doesn't know how, it's just always in the back of my mind to know where I want to go in case the HUD is knocked (goes back to the LOMAC days). :pilotfly: S!
