  1. I think I understood what you are wanting to do and was trying to upload a video but can't for some reason... I came up with an idea earlier this year but never made my panel... You can use a switch guard and then a small normally open(?) push button that is actuated when the switch guard is open and assign that small button to the switch cover? Will try again to upload a video... 20210515_185058_1.mp4
  2. I have noticed this too. New to ultrawide and have stretching at the sides - I fly in formation a lot with my squadron and it does make it hard sometimes. I find if I fly with the default fov it doesn't do this as much but then it is massivey zoomed in (on the P-47). Edit: I had been flying in VR but gave monitor a go on my 27" non ultra wide and seem to think it happened on there too I also noticed the black flashing clouds... I wondered if it was my monitor but obviously not! Sent from my SM-G780F using Tapatalk
  3. Haha! I know the feeling. One thing at Detling - make sure you use all of the runway. If you go to F2 and zoom out on top of your aircraft, from the video, it looked like you were near the road that runs across the field. I think you can probably start about 30metres behind where you were. Also, how we do it is go to 30" MP while holding brakes. Then once brakes are released, progressively go to 45-52" over about 3 seconds. Sent from my SM-G780F using Tapatalk
  4. Looks OK. Only major thing I would say is don't use full flap. If I am carrying bombs with my sqn we use 10degree. If I am flying wing in a formation take off I use 5degree. We mainly fly from Detling and it is plenty. Also don't try and get airborne too soon, especially with that flap. I think it is recommended to take flap out at no less than 150mph Maybe check for duplicate assignment for RPM? PS: I'm not the best pilot, just a little observation I made [emoji3526] Sent from my SM-G780F using Tapatalk
  5. Is your rpm lever fully forward? Sent from my SM-G780F using Tapatalk
  6. Hahaha! [emoji6] VR... Not sure why it records like that but I don't seem to be able to change it [emoji1787] Sent from my SM-G780F using Tapatalk
  7. I am glad I'm not the only one feeling like this... Last night I engaged an already damaged 109 on the Storm of War server and ended up causing a fire. I broke off and monitored while going to help an ally and ended up engaging the same 109, still on fire who was turning to engage the friendly P-51. I have, in the past, been set alight and have about 10 seconds before my pilot is dead. Will try and get the track later but in the meantime, here is a video... Excuse the gunnery! https://1drv.ms/v/s!Aob5mTv4JnxZilWHnQqg_g7IhngK Whole thing is about 3:50 and it is probably on fire for the best part of 3 minutes and I'm not sure what happened to it as I lost visual but couldn't see any flaming wrecks... 8. @NineLine Sorry to tag you but is there any update on this at all? Sent from my SM-G780F using Tapatalk
  9. As requested @BIGNEWY In designing a 'replica' bomb arming panel, I was thinking about ways to toggle the switch cover for the bomb arming switches using a real switch cover - I have a kind of solution but it got me thinking as in the P-51, if you press the 'Starter - on' mapped button, it opens the switch cover for you before you then press the starter button again. Can this be implemented in the P-47 please as it has a lot of switch covers? (gunsight/gun arming, compressibility flaps, bomb arming switches etc.) The gunsight arming switch guard is especially annoying when mapped personally. I have attached a track which shows the compressibility flaps not working and also a short track of how the P-51 starter switch acts. P-51.trkP-47.trk Thanks!
  10. I think I have had this before... Are you putting any cockpit lights on? I have a feeling (could be a bug) that if you have cockpit lighting on, when you pass 1500rpm the oil temp circuit breaker pops and you lose the gauge. If you look where your left knee would be, you should see a circuit breaker that isn't in the like others. Click on it and you will get oil temp back until you pass 1500rpm or so. I don't use the cockpit lighting so don't see this anymore but it sounds like a bug to me... Sent from my SM-G780F using Tapatalk
  11. Further to Kitkat's post... Watch Cromhunt's video at .25x playback speed and look at how extended the gear leg is (gap between the lower fairing and leg fairing) and the movement of the two parts of the gear leg fairing and compare it to this video of Nellie B (also at .25x speed) landing on grass which appears very bumpy. The difference is night and day... Nellie's fairing doesn't look to move at all and there is the smallest of gaps between the two parts
  12. Good to hear that I'm not the only one that feels like this and that video really highlighted what I am experiencing. I am by no means the best pilot but if I have time today I can try and post a track but feel free to post tracks too Sent from my SM-G780F using Tapatalk
  13. Not sure if this has been raise before but for me and squadron mates, the P-47 is nigh-on impossible to wheel on. It doesn't seem to matter what speed and descent rate is used, it just springs up into the air as if you have hit a trampoline and given the majority of landings that I have seen in real life have been wheeler landings, it makes me/us think something must be a bit off here? Can you take a look? Sent from my SM-G780F using Tapatalk
  14. I have this exact issue but no CTD yet. Clouds bouncing constantly making it seem stuttery but it have higher FPS than before. Just finished a squadron mission and feel very sick! Sent from my SM-G780F using Tapatalk
  15. Thanks a lot for the replies... Apologies for having not replied, I didn't get an alert about your replies. Thanks, that has helped me a lot [emoji1303] Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  16. Hi all, Quick question - would you use a potentiometer or rotary encoder for a trim axis in DCS? I fly WW2 stuff mainly and find my hat switch too sensitive. Thanks
  17. Thank you! I will check this out. Part of my trouble is I am looking for something quite specific that doesn't massively exist. It would be a waste as I believe that they are single buttons in the assignment list. Thanks for your help [emoji1303] Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  18. Thanks ever so much but I was after a modern day switch from an electronic store but not sure what to look for. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  19. Hi all, I am a newbie to panel making etc and I am hoping to make a switch panel, trim unit and fuel selector panel for predominantly the P-47 and I am struggling to find something suitable for the rotary 4 way fuel selector switch and the magneto switch and would be most grateful if someone could point me in the right direction. I will be using a Leo Bodnar board. Many thanks, Dan Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  20. Hi all, First time skinning an aircraft in any game and currently making a fictional skin for myself for the group I fly with. I am wanting to add invasion stripes to it (both D-Day and late) and I cant seem to find anything with them as layers. I managed to do the fuse by deleting everything from a copy of Gabreski's but it took ages and I was wondering if someone more skilled than myself has a 'layer' of these available? Many thanks in advance!
  21. Agree with the above, all trim seems overly sensitive using TM hat switches to control Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  22. Bit late to the party but a Razorback Jug would be awesome! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  23. Awesome - cheers for checking it for me! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  24. Updated to include Track file as requested by BigNewy P-47 Mag Track.trk
  25. Completely agree with Hawkeye above. This spotting issue has ruined the WW2 scene which is where I spend most of my time. I took part in an airfield raid on a server last night and despite being on the deck, where you would think you would be relatively safe until close to the target, we were bounced as 9 of us were glowing like Christmas trees just begging to be shot. Please fix this ASAP as it ruins how you can approach a dogfight! Also, you lose all send of distance of contacts and many of us have been calling out bandits, only to realise they are a gun emplacement miles and miles away... Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
