  1. Hi All, I've returned to DCS after a rather long Hiatus. On returning I found I needed a fairly monstrous D/L in order to get things running. That's where the problems have arisen. On starting the game (I have a 3 screen setup with Nvidia surround running them) the middle and right screen were all that showed the game. The left screen showed the desktop. I dug a bit on the forums and made my left most screen the dominant screen. That made the game look right. I started the Huey module and the picture looked way out being, what looked like, stretched left to right. The resolution was right though, 5760x1080 so I guessed the aspect ratio was wrong. So I changed that to 5.3 and that's where the trouble started. On the opening screen the image is huge. So huge that I cant access the start button to make any changes to the game. Please help me with this. It would really help if an English speaking person could help me through TeamSpeak or similar, Thanks in advance, ...Guy
  2. DCS 2.0 is here and its fantastic but I really hoped that the missile explosions would change a bit. Maybe have a randomised explosion that might look a different to the current one. I was watching a video of Falcon 4 and their explosions look fairly epic. I this something that some of the stellar modders we have on here, could approach? ...Guy
  3. Is this the right place to ask? JOKE!! It was a joke, ok.....Geez ...Guy
  4. It took about 3hrs to D/L 2.0 but luckily my clan hosted the NTTR map on their own server and that's galloping through, ...Guy
  5. I struggled a bit with this as well. What I did was go back to the training and keep pausing the tutorial to check all was correct. The main thing with the 21 is it needs a lot faster approach than most other planes so give yourself a lot longer run in. Use plenty of rudder to keep her straight and you should be golden, ...Guy
  6. Im pretty sure that wasn't what the 'Whole debate' I was making was. I was led to believe that I couldn't use the product activation keys from Steam in the Standalone. If that's not the case, then excellent news. ...Guy
  7. Hi All, Ive been thinking. As Steam users, we haven't been able to get 2.0 yet. Im a bit worried what will happen when we do as, I presume, the Steam installer will just overwrite the previous 1.5 version as it did with the previous versions to get to 1.5. I believe Standalone owners get a new copy of the game with each update. Allowing you to play 1.2, 1.5 or 2.0. As I don't own the Nttr map yet, I wont be able to play the Sim when 2.0 comes along, Or will I? Hopefully it will be offered as a second download with accessibility to my different modules. That way I can carry on playing 1.5. I can hear you all quietly laughing that I should have bought or change to the standalone. But I haven't. And I have invested a lot of money, through Steam, buying different modules. All, I might add, at nearly new prices, making the decision to just reinstall the standalone version not feasible. Im pretty sure that ED gets a fair chunka change for each module sold. So I think its only fair that they do something about the module codes. Making them transferable between the standalone and the Steam bought versions. Fairs Fair. We have bought your game after all. Anyhoo, ramblings over. Any other opinions out there? ...Guy
  8. Thanks, That's what I hoped lol. Otherwise more agg to fix, ...Guy
  9. Thanks for your help Klem, This time the file did appear in the 'Monitors' List, but when I selected it and the screen refreshed and the DCS opening screen was approximately 1/3rd its original size on the centre monitor only? ...Guy
  10. Hi All, im having a memory lapse. Did the Mig 21's tutorials have a voice over or was it all text? If it was a tutorial, any idea why mine has disappeared? ...Guy
  11. OK, Now im totally at a loss. I D/L Notepad++ but as far as I can see I don't need it if im just dragging your file straight into Monitor setup? But before I did this I uninstalled all my mods using JSGME and then did a repair on my DCS. Said it needed to acquire a load of files. I let it do that, dragged and dropped your file into Monitor setup. Fired up the game and its not there! The file I removed is back in (Reacquired probs) So where do I go now? This is ridiculous and Im reckoning your getting a little ticked off with all my whining, ...Guy
  12. OK heres where Im at. As it wasn't appearing in the DCS menu monitors 'Drop down' I tried to add it to an existing Lua. file from the 'Drop Down'. In this case 'Camera + RMFCD' as im not using it. I opened the file in notepad, deleted everything after the description (So it should still say Camera + RMFCD) and copied and pasted Klems file underneath. So the files description for DCS was still 'Camera + RMFCD' but was, in effect, the 1Camera_Centre_Gui file. Saved this, then restarted DCS.....The file now has totally disappeared from the DCS monitors 'Drop Down' God help me, ...Guy
