  1. Yes trade. Thanks for the answer. ill do the update )
  2. Hey Question for you tech savvy guys out there. At the moment I am using a Asus Zephyrus S GX502GW as my setup to run DCS World. I got it in January 2020 but now I have a good upgrade opportunity. Current setup: Asus ROG Zephyrus S GX502GW: Intel i7 9750H Nvidia RTX 2070 32GB DDR4 - 2666 Mhz Upgrade: Asus ROG Strix G513QR: AMD Ryzen R7 5800H Nvidia RTX 3070 (Max-P) 32GB DDR4 - 3200 Mhz Notes: I have not used an AMD processor in maybe 15 years so I am a bit unsure. Apparently the 2070 that is in my current laptop is a lower power version (I did not know this when I bought it) (not Max-Q though) But the 3070 in the Strix is the most powerful laptop 3070 available. (Apparently) It will cost around 400 buck for this upgrade, but I am not 100% sure. Any input would be much appreciated, thanks. Also I cant have a desktop because I am always on the move.
  3. My bad, typo. i7-6700k is the correct name.
  4. Thanks guys for all your input. It is much appreciated. Tomorrow im going to look at a used PC with the following specs: - Intel Core i7-6700K Skylake Prosessor with Cooler Master Hyper TX3 Evo - ASUS Z170 PRO GAMING, Socket-1151 motherboard. - RAM: PRO GAMING HyperX Fury DDR4 2133MHz 16GB - MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Gaming All for 750 bucks! Buy this setup. Change the CPU cooler to something insane and overclock it to 4.0 Ghz + Upgrade the ram to 32 GB 3200 mhz Sounds like a good plan?
  5. Hey guys, I could use some tech advice. Its been a while since I was in the tech loop when it comes to DCS World. (Single core performance vs multi, threads, etc...) Early this year I bought an Asus laptop to use on the road and such. I have been using it for DCS and I am quite happy with the performance. But I have now decided to get a second hand desktop to use as a dedicated DCS / FS2020 machine. Mainly because I have TM warthog, 3 MFDs, Other panels and such+ external screens. I feel I cant justify spending good money on a new desktop so I will get a used one. My question is whats a good processor combo to get. It has to match or be better than my Laptop in terms of DCS performance. My current laptop ASUS ROG Zephyrus S GX502GW (Core i7-9750H, RTX 2070, 32 GB ram) :helpsmilie: For example is this any good? Intel i7-5820K LGA 2011-3 med Noctua CPU vifte Asrock X99 Pro4-3.1 LGA 2011-3 EVGA Geforce GTX 1070 SC 8GB GDDR5 !!! 32GB DDR4
  6. I don’t understand why people comment the lack of buttons on the stick. Clearly it’s made to replicate A320 flight controls. Last time I flew the Airbus, I don’t remember seeing a whole lot switches on stick. Now if that’s a smart thing to design or not is another matter. Also it has two add on "parts" you can buy later on.
  7. Review of TekCreations I thought id share my initial experience of some products I recently bought from TekCreations. The customer support was excellent, fast replies to emails and shipping was quick too. And now for the products in question: - F18 Hornet Right Replica Panel - https://www.tekcreations.space/product/f18-hornet-replica-right-control-panel/?v=c2f3f489a005 - Custom Plates for Thrustmaster Warthog F18 Hornet - https://www.tekcreations.space/product/custom-plates-for-thrustmaster-warthog-f18-hornet-hotas-throttle/?v=c2f3f489a005 - Custom Plates for Thrustmaster Warthog F14 Tomcat - https://www.tekcreations.space/product/custom-plates-for-thrustmaster-warthog-f14-tomcat-hotas-throttle/?v=c2f3f489a005 - Custom Plates for Thrustmaster Warthog Elite Dangerous - https://www.tekcreations.space/product/custom-elite-dangerous-plates-warthog/?v=c2f3f489a005 F18 Hornet Right Replica Panel * I installed DCS bios and this panel was more or less "plug n play", very quick setup. * Finish on the panel itself is excellent and it fits very nicely next to the Warthog Hotas * LEDs are controlled on the panel same as in aircraft and works * Switches seem like good quality Some extra thoughts * A few more LEDs would be nice but this is a minor thing * Wish the panel was a bit heavier but this is also a minor thing Custom Plates * 5 screws to install, quick and painless * Finish on the panels is excellent and the labels is crystal clear Final thoughts I can wholeheartedly recommend these items and I am looking forward to see what else comes out the TekCreations workshop.
  8. Thanks for all the inputs guys. Sorry for the confusion regarding my specs, I forgot to update my signature specs.
  9. Hey guys At the moment I’m using a Lenovo Explorer VR headset with my new laptop to play DCS. I’m am though considering getting a Reverb VR headset to get better details in game. The big question is how much more demanding are these new VR headsets. Also any input on if its worth the upgrade would be appreciated. My specs: ASUS ROG Zephyrus S GX502GW (Core i7-9750H, RTX 2070, 32 GB ram) Also my current living situation won’t allow me to get a desktop so that’s not an option. (Living hotels to hotels) Really appreciate any input!
  10. Im definitely going to follow this thread, #subscribed. Good luck & God speed on your build!
  11. That UFC is a work of art Blue73 as with so much of your creations. If you could share the STL for that UFC that would be fantastic. I have an Ender3 which has stood still for far too long.
  12. Very cool Padonis. Keep on the good work
  13. MTFDarkEgle have you done anymore work on your homepit?
  14. Very nice video showcasing the Tomcat  Really impressed with the mirror and pilot reflections. "Watch the ground", "Tell Meg I love her"
