  1. Sorry for taking so long to get back to this. I'm not sure exactly what occurs to be able to reproduce this issue but it happened again so I saved the track file. It occurs in about the last 2 minutes or so of the track. To save time, just fast forward to the point that I level out and then I start a right hand turn and watch the flight path marker jump just slightly to the right. It actually happens twice in this turn. Before it happened during a bomb release. Just for info, I am using auto start procedure. F-16 HUD Flight Path Marker Lag.trk
  2. Sorry took so long to respond. I have flown a couple times and cant get it to recreate for a track but I will save a track the next time it happens to me. I know im not imagining it, im just wondering if its a specific load out or cat III condition thats causing it because an air start pulling high g isnt making it happen at the moment.
  3. So I noticed now that the HUD turns on differently during startup and didnt think anything about it until I started flying. Now it seems as though the HUD has an intermittent lag of up to 2-3 seconds most noticably with the flight path marker, I would go on a CCIP bomb run and line up and sometimes it jumps to new position (or jumps out of position for all I know) throwing off the CCIP line and pipper. The bombing accuracy in CCIP also seems worse but I am assuming that is attributed to the HUD. Is anyone else noticing this? I searched the forum after the update and didnt find anything pertaining to this issue.
  4. Both of you are correct, I was attempting to make a complex trigger based spawn and somehow overlooked a simple fact. Thanks for the response guys.
  5. This is still not fixed? I was adding triggers and wondering why they weren’t working…Is this fix getting pushed in tomorrows update?
  6. I've since decided to permanently disable the whole FMC before takeoff. It is much easier for me to control now, especially during takeoffs/landings/hovering...Only problem is that it disables all of the trim modes so I just fly by hand...
  7. The Apache definitely got harder to fly after latest update. Before takeoff I usually disable yaw channel in FMC and during takeoffs and hovers use FTR to be stable and as I move into forward flight at around 30-50 kts I release FTR but yaw channel is permanently disabled. I tried flying it after the update and it has certainly has gotten harder at hover and slow speeds. Normal forward flight seems the same. I tried not disabling yaw channel using FTR and not using FTR and it’s almost uncontrollable for me…I know it’s a huge undertaking to get it right but it really needs to get fixed already.
  8. I just installed latest version of SLmod on a dedicated server. I’m getting a scripting error message something like “global nil” (not in front of server right now to get actual message)at first server start and can’t join the mission from client side until that error window is closed and the error won’t come back until doing a server restart It seems like there is a delay from doing something to it being implemented, I did “-reg” in chat and it took a long time then finally let me register as admin. Then I used “-admin load” to change missions and it showed up in chat and did work. Then doing “-admin load” again gave the mission list in the DCS message window. It seems like it doesn’t work but fixes itself and works better each time lol. Anybody have a clue on how to get rid of the original error message? I will screenshot the original message when I can get back to the server. Thanks
  9. Thanks for the reply bud. I kind of figured it might be an error but was slightly entertaining the thought that maybe they found a way to boost server performance by routing some calculations through a discrete gpu.
  10. I wish there were more detailed specs on the performance needs. My server PC is not necessarily old, I have an i7-12700k with 64gb of ddr4-3600 ram. I used my old SSD which is gen 3 and I have no way of knowing whether upgrading to a gen 4 SSD would be of any performance benefit. I also plan on getting a 4090 gpu in the very near future and was planning on selling my current 3090 but if it will boost server performance Inwould install it. Can any other server admins chime in here? Thanks
  11. So in the DCS Modular server specs it says min specs need no discreet graphics card and recommended specs is using a discreet graphics card. I am running a dedicated modular server on a spare pc with only intel integrated graphics at this time. What would be the benefit of using a graphics card on the server vs intel only? Thanks
  12. Tried to install on dedicated server. Opened ports as required, set up in configurator and when connecting it just gets stuck saying connecting...Already made inbound rule for it in windows firewall and verified ports are open...Anyone have any ideas?
  13. I really never thought of NTTR for carrier ops in that area but seeing as I live in Los Angeles County, whenever I travel to San Diego, more often than not there are helicopters or ground vehicles training that you can see from the 5 freeway and when you get near MCAS Miramar there has never been a time when I haven't seen fighter jets flying overhead...I would still love to see NAS Fallon included since its the premier US Navy training base on the west coast as well as NAWS China Lake, Star Wars Canyon and Edwards AFB. Crazy thing is that all are in the map just not populated and you can see the rough outlines if you fly over them. I used to travel for work up Highway 395 which is a bit west of China Lake and Edwards and out there it was not uncommon to see F-18s dogfighting or flying very low through the Owens Valley. I remember seeing one dogfight where 2 hornets were in a slow speed rolling scissors for a few minutes...
  14. @duckradiation I dont think its a hot plug issue, in your log file it looks like DCS is trying to readjust your settings such as EDTERRAINGRAPHICS41 (Main): forestDetailsFactor. If you look at it, every few seconds it is repeating the adjustment like there is another file trying to force new settings. I just double checked my log and it only reads settings once. Im not sure what that is all about but could be a corrupt file. I would also disable mods and double check. I also noticed you have a GPS_GNSS script in there, not sure if that has anything to do with it but I have read before that some scripts with SRS may cause that issue. Also, were you using Ctrl Z and speeding up the simulation when that happened? If you were that could be an issue as well. I would eliminate any scripts or mods first then try. If that doesnt work then run a repair. And finally a reinstall if all else fails...
  15. After some upgrades and overclocking I was monitoring my DCS performance with different apps and noticed in the DCS FPS counter that there is a section that says Video Mem xxx/xxxx usage/budget. I see it using about 10gb of Vram and budgets the entire 24gb of Vram on my 3090. At the same time in task manager, usage shows about 60-65% on average. Why wouldnt DCS use more available Vram instead of just requesting the Vram and holding it for use? Just trying to squeeze out maximum performance from my machine...
  16. I, the same as others posting just dread the lack of lights during night ops in NTTR. So I did a test using a light source (the light post is invisible) from the free Massun-92 Asset Pack. The lights do reflect off of objects such as aircraft. The only drawbacks I have found so far is that 1)the lights do not illuminate the cockpit when you are inside as does PG/Syria and 2)After finding all large spotlight posts and adding 3 light sources to each post (as shown in the screenshots) and ending up with a whole lot of lights, the Apache does not like all of the light sources and stutters when multiple are visible from the cockpit although all other aircraft tested so far seem to be fine. I am going to tone down the lighting to see if I can get the Apache stutter free in the future. Here is Laughlin Airport south of Nellis...
  17. Glad its working for you. I cant even make a mission anymore without the MIST/CTLD, CSAR and JTAC scripts. They make them so much more entertaining.
  18. Can confirm its still working. Are you sure you set the proper laser code in the do script and are using the same in the aircraft? ctld.JTACAutoLase('Mad Dog 11 AFAC', 1688) I use this with no issues.
  19. @cfrag I have been trying to implement CSAR script into my missions to go with MIST/CTLD. I followed the CSAR test mission example and it show up in F10, I can pick up the pilot but for some reason I can’t drop him off. I landed at invisible FARP, created a blue mash unit and it just doesn’t happen. Could send me one of your missions so I can see what I might be doing wrong? Will check it out when I get home from work. Appreciate the help bud! Appreciate the help bud!

  21. When i put tankers in a mission, alt is usually 18,000-25,000' and if you put the speed of 430, at 25,000 thats about 290 during tanking. At 18,000 it pushes up a bit higher. If you are using an orbit, make sure that you set that speed the same as waypoints in the advance waypoints section.
  22. Ive been having crazy fps issues since I built my new pc, 13900k/3090/64gb ram. I disabled Tacview and I have no more issues...
