  1. I'd really like to see an Apache done in this easier / gamified LO:MAC especially if it has the capability for two players in the same aircraft. Sometimes I want to play with people who don't have anything except for an xbox/ps controller or mouse and keyboard. Something that captures the general feel of flying an apache, but without it being technically complex, as well as having a high investment in hardware and input. Yes I'm probably asking too much
  2. Is there anyway to make a plane to collide at a particular point in the terrain?
  3. Hi everyone, I'm attempting to make a short video where two planes flying in formation end up touching each, causing a crash. Is it possible to script something like this in DCS so that two AI controlled planes do it all? Many thanks, Tom
  4. Now we just need a Cyclic with a "clutch" for trim too (and while I'm at it, pedals that stay where you leave them too :P) But this collective is very very nice, and clever design too. Q: Can the mount be flipped? So that it can be mounted on top of a surface, rather than under?
  5. This is an introductory beginners guide for the F-16. If you have not flown the F-16 yet and just want to get in and get a taste for what's like to fly this legendary plane and shoot down an enemy in mere minutes, then this is the guide for you https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2334868753
  6. Wow this newsletter was exciting. Q3/Q4 2021 will be a super exciting time for DCS I think we'll also see some nice new computer hardware around this time. So perhaps the dream of flying an all of these wonderful aircraft at a smooth 90fps in VR will be a reality
  7. That lets me toggle between look or click, but does not allow them to both be used at the same time.
  8. Same issue for me. But I allowed it through, and installed successfully.
  9. It works very well with other games in VR. I think TrackIR doesn't work well because the more you turn your head the harder it is to see where you are aiming. So bet this will be a lot of fun in VR
  10. These look very, very, nice. The UH-60 collective might have enough hat-switches to cover the up-coming Apache too. Although if VirPil make an AH-64 collective, I'm sold
  11. Hi DCS'ers, In VR when I look around the cockpit I have a pointer in the middle of my screen that lets me click switches and things. Can I get this mode of interaction without VR? So when I move my mouse, the cursor stays in the middle of the screen and the entire view moves around. Basically like a first person shooter with a crosshair in the middle. This way I can control the clicking and the looking at the same time. Thanks!
  12. Now that the Apache has been announced via teaser - how are we going to control this thing? The actual cyclic and collective have an absolute outbreak of buttons
  13. Go for the UH-1. yeah it's hard to fly, but if you become even half way decent then everything else is a breeze to fly. The trick to learning it without becoming frustrated is to fly maybe 10 to 15 minutes each day doing drills. Really simple stuff like taxiing to and from the runway over and over. After a week or two of that you get a feel for it. Of course finish your training each day with a fun activity to keep frustration to a minimum Edit: Also for helicopters, it's really worth investing in a set of accurate and smooth pedals. The difference between flying a helo in DCS with a quality set vs. the mass market stuff (saitek, ch products, logitech) is like night and day, and is the difference between enjoying the flight and becoming frustrated with fighting the controls.
