  1. You can actually give orders to an AI from either seat in the F-14. It's just so that the RIO AI is much more sophisticated than the pilot AI. There's a lot you can do from the gunner seat including flying the thing. In the Huey, you can give some relatively simple flying commands when manning a weapon station yourself. In the Gazelle, you can make an AI pilot hold a hover but still control the collective yourself to control a pop-up. I know they are working on a sophisticated AI for the gunner. At least they showed us so for the Hind. I don't know if anything is in the works for the pilot.
  2. Thanks for the reply. I also wouldn't see why not other than the relatively unique guidance principle for an ATGM. Late during or after early access would be totally fine to me, as long as it would be coming.
  3. Good day to all. On reddit, I saw that @BIGNEWYstated that the FCR is planned. This makes me wonder if it is also within the realm of possibility that we will get the radar guided variant of the Hellfire, the AGM-114L.
  4. Can also CZ on the TGP to fix this.
  5. Which ship did you land on? The Stennis won't have crew even if you own the SC.
  6. Yes, using the HAS (HARM as sensor) modes or one of the modes that only lock-on after launch.
  7. Embed videos like: [ YOUTUBE]Yf1P0GPujvE[/YOUTUBE](without the spaces :))
  8. Put this on the appstore/playstore so I can buy it :D Would be great to practice on a phone!
  9. The missile ran out of batteries. They only last for 80 seconds. The missile ran out at 5:32:00 Zulu. You can see that its control surfaces lock and the missiles performs no more steering commands. The seeker is no longer pinging which is why the AI ignored it.
  10. The PGU-28/b that the F-16 carries by default does indeed not have tracers. You can go into the armament menu and choose ammunition that does have tracers.
  11. Like QuiGon already mentioned. The F-16 will eventually become extremely potent in SEAD/DEAD because it will get the AN/ASQ-213 HARM Targeting System pod. The F/A-18 has the AGM-88C right now, and an advantage it has is that it can carry 4 of them (our F-16 will most likely only carry 2). A plane I haven't seen mentioned yet is the AV-8B. This planes carries the AGM-122. This weapon is very easy to use but nowhere near as capable as the other anti-radiation missiles we have right now. Combined with the V/STOL and BAI/CAS nature of the Harrier, I find it a fun and useful weapon to have, though.
  12. The instant action mission "high aspect basic fighter maneuvers" does exactly what you want. It'll make you fight a MiG-29A and then a Su-27. It does feature missiles though. To remove those from all flights, head to the editor, choose open mission, find the F-16C in the left-hand list, choose QuickStart, find the HABFM mission and edit the flights so that nobody has any missiles.

Many fighters can use a mode called TWS that allows them to guide missiles like the AIM-120 without giving you a warning immediately. Only when the missile activates its own radar (this is called "going pitbull") will the RWR warn you of the incoming threat. This is what the F-15 has been using against you. The F-16 has access to two such modes (TWS and SAM (situational awareness mode)) but it looks like they AI does not use that, then. You can tell the proximity of the highest threat (in case of active missiles guiding on you, most likely those) by looking at the circular light strips on the RWR. The fuller the circle is (closing in on the 7'o clock position), the closer said threat is. This is shown on page 212 of the flaming cliffs manual.
  14. To move the cursor without using the mouse, you can bind the RDR CURSOR functions to your desired four way. Unfortunately, no LCOS sight for our F-16 now, and possibly not ever.
  15. F12 is the default button to reset the headset position. Alternatively, you can head to options, controls, then UI layer and find the "recenter VR headset" function and bind it to a button you like. If you're still outside the aircraft, then you are probably in one of the many external view modes (from your description most likely F2 or F4). To re-enter the cockpit from such a situation, press F1.
