  1. Oh great, (when it comes out in 10 years) it's going to be a team of 262's vs non-150g P-51's and Spits..
  2. Aw, was looking forward to this. Is it postponed for next weekend?
  3. Thanks mastiff for showing me this thread. To the devs... YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS YEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. The P-38 flew over 130,000 sorties in the European theater, and downed over 1,800 aircraft in the Pacific theater. And I don't see it on the roadmap. Spit/47/262/Stuka are great, but then I see.. Vampire - Post War Meteor - 45 A2G kills during the last week of the war. F8F - Post War Ho-229? As cool as it is, please no. I-16 - What's it going to fight? P-40F's facing K-4's and D-9's! The top 2 American aces flew the P-38, it broke a few records, why is it being neglected?
  5. Didn't know where to post this, can't post in the Wishlist section, so as they already made a Vietnam era aircraft, I'll just dump it here. As much as I'd love to see the Skyraider, the A-37 seems fitting for the DCS community. 160,000 combat sorties in Vietnam Phased out in early 80's After the war, 90 some A-37's were used by communist countries Aerial refueling Is a jet Cold War Can be considered a trainer I guess http://www.airspacemag.com/military-aviation/legends-of-vietnam-super-tweet-8974282/?no-ist Would be very fun to fly!

  7. There was a bug in the spawning yesterday, I believe. Anytime the P-51's spawned in, we would instantly die. We'd either spawn upside down, or in mid air with a vertical spin.
  8. If only for an AI right now would be outstanding.
  9. Is vulching airfields allowed in this server? Last night was very frustrating as a friend and I were (trying) to fly our Su-27's.. Besides it being 11 F-15's vs 3 Su-27's.. 1. I was being locked for a short time while I was in a bunker. 2. My friend who was parked outside, wasn't so lucky. A 120 killed him before the ground crew even finished loading his aircraft. 3. Frogfoots and Warthogs were pointless death sentences. 4. Despite dodging 120's during take off, we eventually made it in the air and shot two down (which was short lived of course with 3-4 other F-15's in the area). If there's no vulching, 4 Su-27's that can actually get near the bullseye vs 10 F-15's is still better than F-15's vs F-15's, in my opinion.
  10. I've seen videos of the JG27 server and it looks like it's quite a good time! Saturday, 10th of July, 19:00 UTC, JG27 server. Sound reasonable for everyone?
  11. And the results are scattered  From what I last heard, the next 3 are the P-40, Spitfire, and the P-47... The P-38 would be damn amazing! It's not like the top two American aces flew it either..
  12. I live in Nevada, so it would be afternoon for North American's, evening for Europeans. I'm pretty flexible as it'd be a Saturday. Whatever the best time is for the rest of you guys..
  13. I've been flying a lot of jets lately and it's just getting too repetitive of following a dot on the radar, pressing a button, and getting a kill; I miss the good dogfights with WWII birds, I remember a year ago you could find 20 people in a WWII server. This is most likely a futile attempt at resurrecting that in a server (I can't name a few, but I know they're there) that doesn't require a 40 minute flight to the AO like you had to do in DoW. Just a action packed dogfights, what if we set a date and time every week for just one day to fly in a WWII server on DCS? For an example, every Satuday at 1900, is the WWII Fly In, would anyone be interested in this? :pilotfly:
  14. In what manner? Is it open like it was before, or limited access like they mentioned? :helpsmilie:
  15. In 1998 I started with Janes WWII Fighters which covered the Western Front. In 2001, I flew IL-2, then Pacific Fighters came out in 2004. IL-2: 1946 only covered said campaigns. IL-2: Cliffs of Dover in 2010 covered the Battle of Britain, now in 2014 IL-2 is back to the Russian front and doesn't seem to be looking elsewhere. Microsoft's Combat Flight Simulator WWII Europe? 1998-2002 So it's been 13-15 years since any decent flight simulator has covered the European air theater and quite frankly, I'm getting really exhausted of the same theaters, aircraft, and battles for the past 15 years. We need a change. Protecting, attacking, or trying to keep a damaged B-17 in the air would be nothing short of epic. Most of the DCS community prefers modern combat over WWII, but I hope DCS: WWII Europe can get rolling at a decent pace. Rant complete.
