  1. I right now am using a very old headset that went with my PS2, and the padding on the one side of the headphone is gone. So it's ancient. But what are some good reccomendations for a cheap but great quality headset/mic to use with teamspeak 3? I've found a Sennheiser PC 26 USB Single-Sided Monaural Headset with Microphone and Logitech PlayStation 3 Vantage USB Headset
  2. I've tried reinstalling multiple times never changes it. And it has to do with the program not the aircraft. Somepeople said it had to do with shaders Someone at AVsim forums said: Ensure that entry is in the fsx.cfg under the [GRAPHICS] header, if it is; bump the number up 1 so that it reads as SHADER_CACHE_VERSION=2 and so on. but i can't locate the fsx.cfg file
  3. I don't know why but my FSX keeps minimizing on me, and then turns the entire aircraft in to this. I heard there was a file to fix it but have lost it. Does anyody know what file that might be? I was searching and found this site with the same problem. They say it could be due to drivers or overheating. And say to underclock the card. I'm nervous about doing that cause I dont know how. http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php?topic=2246.0 I also see alot about shaders in this issue such as this site, is this a fix possibly? http://forum.avsim.net/topic/280688-gra ... try1745142
  4. Using the litening tp cam you id targets farther out and faster than in fc2, when you had to use the mavericks seeker head to id? I haven't been able to test it that much cause my stick makes the plane unstable. So I'll be getting a new one shortly. And is it really hard to play dcs A-10C without TIR? Can it be done though, such as substituting the mouse for track ir.
  5. What do the medals mean in FC2? I was just awarded the medal of honor when I didn't do anything brave? Is there a list for the reason of awarding them?
  6. Tell me about it. I didn't know the AI could be that stupid
  7. I was just returning from a typical mission when this happened. I told the 4 ship to regroup, and since I had a hydraulic failure thought I'd follow them back to base so i told them RTB, and all confirmed but then I heard I'm hit. And I was thinking what? There are no threats around us at all. So i switch to 2, and 3 and well the pictures speak for themselves they hit each other:megalol:
  8. After trying A/A in LOMAC and FC2 I found that I'm better suited to A/G and completed some missions there. And as others have said with the upgrades the A-10C received it is now more complex to learn all the correct systems and know how to work them. Probably even more complex than the VRS Superbug
  9. Throughout most of the time I've been a flighsimmer I've always had either a Logitech or another company's joystick. But with DCS A-10C coming out and testing the beta and seeing that the stick I have now, a Logitech Xtreme 3D Pro, is too off centered to use I'm wondering is Thrustmaster better? I'm considering their, Thrustmaster T Flight X Hotas. And I'm wondering will that stick be the same as the one I have now and after using it for a while it'll slowly become loose and be off centered too? Or does Thrustmaster make the stick sturdy enough to stay completely centered through most of its life?
  10. Will any more training missions be added to the release version or is this it?
  11. Well said mower Those COD 4 MW2 Halo etc are people who don't know how complex real combat in real life is!:P
  12. I agree Bullet. I do enjoy starting the bird up, but sometimes I don't have that amount of time and need to go somewhere but just want to get a short mission in before I leave. And having to start up the plane every time would take too long. So I'd like an autostart sequence too.
  13. I agree with Bucic on including a printable startup checklist. So that you have the cockpit layout right there and know where to flip the switches and in what order. And as you do it more you get better and faster at it. And creating a start up checklist wouldn't be hard, just like FC 2 and BS had the tactical map create a checklist like that. Great idea Bucic.:D
  14. I think it also depends on if the player has trackir or not. Track IR makes moving around the cockpit faster, but using a mouse and stick is slower.
  15. I hear ya, time is tight for me cause of all the college course I'm taking take up most of the time I could be training in the beta. So if we can just hold like in FC2 R Shift and Home that'd be very helpful instead of going through 15minjust to get up and running, and then later in the mission you get shot down and restart at cold and dark and have to do another complete restart.
  16. Will the training missions be adjusted to work properly, cause some of them such as the precision guided munitions one stops at a certain point when it asks you to go back to the DSMS, and then the yellow marker just stays there even though you have the mfd on the DSMS.
  17. This might be off topic but is this a good stick to use T Flight HOTAS & Joystick. as compared to a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro? and f the beta is running ok on your system right now then the game will work fine too right? There won't be any adjustments to the system requirements.
  18. i did just resting my hand on the stick causes the z axis to start a movement to the left and when i lift my hand it goes to the right. the controls are way too sensitive. i hope the final version wont be like this. cause i can't afford a new stick
  19. right now everything is at 25 curvature and deadzone 0. what should the normal dead zone be? cause i try and turn but then moving the stick left causes the z axis to respond. its just too sensitive.
  20. ok i'll tune it in the morning when i can concentrate more.
  21. Right now I have it set on 60 that's probably too much you'd say right?
  22. If the controls I have right now are loose and want to tune them so that I have stable control of the aircraft should I move the curvature to the right or left?
