  1. Thank you all for the replies :D As i suspected, i do need much more practice. Thank you all again and have a nice day! :D
  2. About the 9X, it was an error on my part haha :D. Now i do know that i have to pump chaff and /or flares, and make evasive maneouvers. Thats about it really, except the fact that i can sometimes distingues the RWR tone to know when someone has locked on to me. Thats about it really.
  3. So i'm quite new to the game so i'm guessing it might be because of that. So today, i was playing around with the Su-27, and i locked on to this Apache. I fired, and he deployed countermeasures. Miss. Not a big deal right? I mean, he is supposed to do that when he sees a missile coming at him. I go a little, gaining some range to make a turn and send another missile. As i am turning, i look towards the Apache to confirm im turning to the correct place. I see an AGM-114K heading towards me. I'm confused. It doesn't last long though, as the Hellfire hits me and i go down burning. What? How could this even happen? Its funny and sad at the same time. Any reason for this? As a side question, is it normal for enemy MiGs to dodge 2 AIM-120s, 1 AIM-9X and then proceed to 1 shot me? again, im guessing that its because of my skill level, but it still seems a little wierd to be able to dodge all of those missiles. I never even live long enough to get into cannon range. I like challenges, but this is sort of insane. 9 out of 10 times i get shot before shooting down a plane and the other time i either get lucky or i shoot the bomber. Anyways, thanks for taking your time and reading this long post :D thanks to anyone and everyone who answers. Cheers.
  4. It isn't possible at least in this situation for it to be imbalance though. As i said, it happened again after a while on the other wing whitch was apparently lighter. I guess i will check the trim commands. Thanks for that!
  5. Thanks for the info! I would add a dead zone to the Stick, but it started falling apart so i guess i'll just get a new one. Also thanks for the info on dogfighting. Im guessing it will be easier with planes like F-15 or Su-27 after all. Thanks for the info on the cannon though, i probably wouldn't use the cannon much in Air-to-Air if i hadn't read that :D
  6. Hello people. Im guessing that this would be a rather generic thread, but i will go on anyway. I just started playing DCS through Steam, and played for a few hours with the Su-25T. Now a few of my questions may seem Naive or obvious, but im still a newby. So, first of all, i have a question about the plane randomly banking left or right without input from my joystick. At first, it coincided with me having more missiles on my left wing, so i thought it banked because of that. later, when i had a relatively instant bank right which knocked me off course. My right wing still had less missiles. It still happens at random times and there is a constant very slow left or right bank which i need to micromanage while aiming with the Shkval or strafing or whatever. Im guessing it is because i have an old and 'low' quality Joystick, (Trust GM-2500, just extra info) but thats just a wild guess. My next question, would be about Dogfights. I would say at least i got a grasp ofusing the shkval and can, even though with difficulty, strafe ground targets (usually harder with the cannon :P) and i can shoot down the UH1 in the target practice mission, but i couldnt even get a lock more than a second on the A-10's in the dogfight mission. Now i know i might be a little too new to try dogfighting, and i know that the Su-25T is not designed for dogfighting, but it still was a little wierd. The plane didnt maneuver properly and i think i stalled twice trying to match the enemy pilots turn. Any idea on that guys? Im guessing it might be my own lack of skill or the joystick, or maybe the plane itself. Would it get even slightly easier with a dedicated (or multirole) Fighter jet? Any feedback, constructive critisism or anything would be nice. Thank you!
