The update for Open alpha and release is coming today, you should then be able to fly the Mig in all versions.

Cichlidfan is right, you should activate each module only once, regardless of how many different DCS versions and installations you have on your PC.
Any particular module that gives you activation troubles?
MiG-21 DRM was always a bit too sensitive, to put it mildly :D. I also lost an activation due to BIOS upgrade, lost a few more, some because of various issues, some because of my own stupidity. But I still have more MiG-21 activations left than for any other module (10+ vs 9).
As you can see from the link posted above, devs are working on a permanent DRM solution (fingers crossed :)).
I use beta most of the time, ever since the 1.5 came out. I was using release only before.
I like to think it's the other way around, that the beta irons out release version bugs :D. The truth, as usual, is somewhere in between.
Glad it's working. :)
Just like with any other unit. You have to chose JTAC frequency so that it is in Viggen's radio frequency range (roughly 110-150MHz, 225-399MHz).
You don't :D. No internal chaff/flares, pod only.
Put the part of the link that is right of = between youtube tags. In your case that would be MLqKbbKIaD.
Like this, but without the spaces:
[ YOUTUBE]MLqKbbKIaDo[ /YOUTUBE]
Thanks for the test btw.
It won't launch in salvo if you keep holding the button, you have to press it again. Unless you're in salvo mode ofc. :D
You can still chose individual pylon, you can chose between IR and SARH, or just let the plane launch at predetermined sequence. It's up to you, according to the situation.
IMO this is the best feature in this patch, and the one I was waiting for a long time.
Don't let the lack of English cockpit intimidate you :). I don't speak neither French nor Swedish (English is also foreign language to me), but that didn't stop me from enjoying M2000 and Viggen. Mig-21 does come with the English cockpit, Viggen will have one too. Not sure about M2000, there are probably some mods.
Manuals for the WIP/early access modules are not yet completed, but for me they were good enough to learn those planes, with some help from Chuck's guides and youtube tutorials.
Mig-21 is developed by a different 3rd party, Magnitude 3, not HeatBlur, after the recent split of Leatherneck.
Beta or not, nothing is realy finished in DCS, everything is under development, including the DCS itself. :D
It's very reassuring to know the ED will take over if a 3rd party goes down (which hopefuly will never happen), thanks Wags for sharing this with us. I've often asked myself this question, but never here.
As far as the ED itself is concerned,... I'm playing games and sims since early 1990s. A lot of game companies came and went since then, very few are still active. ED was also founded back then, which means it knows how to run the business and survive. I guess the fact that ED doesn't only do consumer staff but is also on the military market helps a lot. I'm confident the ED will be around for a long time.
