  1. Ok, so it would seem that patience is the key here. I let the mission editor load in for a few more minutes, so that the entire Caucasus map loaded in. At that point, i was able to place aircraft and muck with loadouts. Seems they take a bit more loading time than everything else. Played a couple missions, and it seems like I'm off to the races. Thanks for the help, I do appreciate it. :)
  2. Ok, I'll give it a try. Thanks for the support! :pilotfly:
  3. Here's an updated Logs file if it's any help. EDIT: After clicking on DCS, I've got about 3 minutes or so of a black screen, then about 1 minute of an actual progress bar with the DCS logo before im at the main menu. From there, I click on mission editor and it's about a minute or 2 before I'm in the editor, and from there the map shows mostly blue for at least 2-3 minutes. Actual mission load times are another 2-3 minutes at least. Logs.zip
  4. ok, deleted mission editor folder and repaired. Hard to tell if it's helped, the mission editor still doesn't seem to want to load the map itself. I see names of towns and some symbols, but no actual topography. Either its taking a long time to load in, or not loading in at all. Same issue when clicking on loadouts screen. (something to do with texture loading because of the liveries? should I be waiting longer to try?) the load times can't be normal.
  5. Hello, Thanks for the speedy reply! I went through the procedure, and I'm now able to *place* a Ka-50, however the mission editor freezes when I click on the loadouts tab.
  6. I'm fine to place anything else. Even other helicopters. But if I try to place a Ka-50, the game seems to struggle with it. Won't open the loadouts screen, and after enough clicking and trying it eventually just hard freezes. Any ideas? Thanks
  7. I'm running a GTX 1070 and 8gb ram and its.......... its...... yeah. I mean who knows, everyone will experience different results but my loading times have easily doubled, maybe even tripled. Got settings pretty high and my game looks nothing like the screenshots. So yeah i dunno. Not sure if im doing something wrong or just need more ram.
  8. hmm I love flying bombers, but as far as I can tell the heaviest bomb a player-controlled plane can load is a 500kg. The game features much larger bombs but as far as I can tell we can't employ them. (please correct me if I'm wrong) I'd be the first in line to buy a heavy bomber module. I'm talkin' strategic bombing. Carpet bombing. Terror bombing. Kaboom. Any plans to this effect, ED?
  9. Ahh, thanks. I was looking for the special tab but didn't see it.
  10. Not sure I understand your reply. How do I re-enable the functionality of the old "Center Position Trimming" which is both a) apparently disabled by default and b) missing from the interface?
  11. Prior to the patch, there was a checkbox in the game options interface, under the 'special' tab called "center trimming mode". This was the solution to the problem you seem to be describing. When you let go of the trim, the aircraft lurches towards where your stick is pointed. The Center Trim mode box made it so that the aircraft doesn't start responding to input after a trim until the joystick is centered again. The problem? This option is missing from the interface in the most recent patch. Any chance we could get it back? Everything was fine with that checked. Now it's a mess trying to control. Thanks
  12. Thanks, I appreciate that! I'll keep an eye out for you!
  13. I just had a look through the options menu and didn't see anything to do with network settings. What am I looking for, exactly? Thanks
