  1. While I see the improvements on flatscreen, I'm not seeing improvements on Index VR. 5950X 64GB Ram 4090TI SSD. Does anyone else have similar or different results?
  2. Nope. Tried a bunch of rumored fixes and none have worked.
  3. On the F14, you can have the seeker on the PH activate about 7 seconds from impact, (instead of the normal 14-17 seconds TTI) in order to pursue smaller, maneuverable targets like fighters. However, the AI seems to always react prior to the seeker going active when this setting is selected. It seems like the time of reaction is coded into the AI, in such a way, so that it will respond to a set number of seconds to impact, not as a reaction to the missile going active. It would be a vast improvement to the AI if: 1. It reacted based on the seeker going active, not TTI. 2. If the AI periodically cranked or F-poled or flowed cold or whatever in order to try and energy defeat your (human) non active fox 3 missiles in flight. Missiles it shouldn't be aware of but making the maneuvers out of precaution. It would be best if they did this organically, not at set distances from player's aircraft or TTI.
  4. Longshot question, Would brunner's FFB rudder pedals be time consuming or difficult to implement into the F14?
  5. I noticed that the TWS auto, when trying to keep a return on a contact as well as a track hold contact (an extrapolation on a lost contact) it seems to prioritize the track hold contact over the real contact, which is not ideal. I would prefer to prioritize the real contact over the track hold. Is this a bug or was this really an issue in the real F14?
  6. I have the brunner ffb physically move when trimming, as I find it easier to trim this way. I also think the stick physically moving when trimming is how it actually works for the F14? (not sure). But due to this, the autopilot will not engage properly, as the autopilot in the F14 seems to run on the premise that the stick is centered even when trimmed. So Altitude hold will not engage, because when the 14 is properly trimmed the ffb stick is very far from center. The basic autopilot functions also do not work properly as it never really seems to engage, as the 14 in dcs only engages the autopilot when again, the stick is centered. And when trimmed, the stick is not centered on the brunner. Is there a work around because the option for ffb stick in the special options does not seem to change anything, regardless of whether it is checked or not. This option does seem to work on the sidewinder, according to hoggit replies, but they disable a setting on the stick called "center spring" plus some tape to cover a hand sensor so that you can take your hand off the stick without disengaging some function.
  7. No I mean like, how can you store the heading when you shut down so that you can start up again (in the same jet, without quitting the game or respawning in a new jet) with stored aligned heading available?
  8. How do you store heading for use in the next startup?
  9. Do you have a source? @fagulha
  10. So DON'T backseat, but also DO backseat. Does that single brain cell rattling around in your head need a RIO to crosscheck your critical thinking skills?
  11. I'm literally being instructed to do this, by the pilots in our squad. Why don't you calm down?
  12. pretty sure that's just the high tech xray vision kicking in. No bug.
  13. WW2 carriers, modern French carriers, UK carriers, a full fidelity kuznetsov? with accompanying carrier aircraft for these carriers?
  14. hopefully, with all the maps and modules coming out, if they keep this up, they'll basically stumble into proper module/map matching eventually. We'll finally have both the map and modules to recreate the Korean and Vietnam war by the end of this decade.
  15. Hi, I often play RIO in a squad with real people, so one of my responsibilities in the back seat is looking over the pilots seat and making sure all the switches and levers are where they need to be and that none of the caution lights are lit before Taxi, takeoff or combat. But it seems that there are some instruments that do not sync between front seat and back seat, namely the Attitude indicator, as the flag always seems to be on in the back even when the pilot has unlocked it from his perspective. As well as the warning lights, where I think half of the warning lights remain on despite a full start up. The pilots do not see any warning lights on the panel, but I do. Is this fixable or was this done to improve performance in the backseat?
  16. And perhaps an option to switch between "perfect" weather prediction and "realistic" weather prediction. One being a perfect prediction of the weather over time, and another having a realistic degree of error.
  17. Otherwise, we're gonna get instances where clear weather fools people into carrying LGBs only to find their targets covered in fog and low clouds. forcasting data will need to be provided to allow people to properly plan around the changing weather. Edit: And perhaps an option to switch between "perfect" weather prediction and "realistic" weather prediction. One being a perfect prediction of the weather over time, and another having a realistic degree of error.
  18. I used to use the VR window display on the steam index, but can't really do that for Varjo Aero, cause it runs at 5fps and is way to zoomed in, in the window. Does anyone record their flights with audio+SRS using the Varjo Aero/Base?
  19. yeah, it also unnecessarily adds to the TTI when the fighters are so close. This is in TWS, I think the PDSTT (at certain ranges?) and PSTT and shooting it active off the rail with ACM cover up makes it not loft.
  20. I feel this thread. Stuttering is there, not as severe as OP, but spending $3000+ for a high end pc to support high end VR just to still have regular hiccups is maddening. Watching youtube videos claiming perfect 60 fps doesn't help.
  21. I googled it and it suggests that it is a high ping or packet loss issue. I'll have to play single player and see if the lag spike issue isn't there.
  22. I swapped to OpenVR, seems to work better, BUT every minute or so, there is a huge lag spike that lasts about a second. Not sure what is causing that, but it is difficult to maintain formation when it keeps happening. Any suggestions? running 3090Ti 64GB of ram and Ryzen 9 5950x, so I don't think its the pc specs
  23. I followed the instructions and the program does not seem to run. Can anyone clarify how to get the window to popup in DCS?
