  1. I came here in hope that someone was kind enough to do this for the rest of us. Thankyou :)
  2. Good news. When I run the .exe directly from the install directory simshaker works fine, So i've made a new shortcut and copied that over to the desktop and now all is good. Thanks again for your help :)
  3. Hmm, Do you think you could advise me on where to find the installed files for simshaker? I've managed to install and run it fine on my laptop, so I was thinking of perhaps copying it over and seeing if that helps. I doubt it will, considering it looks like a .net framework error, but this is all I can think of as this seems to be a very rare error.
  4. I don't think the deactivation has anything to do with the installed modules since DCS stand-alone will recognise them as installed--just not activated. Meanwhile, because the standalone requires a log-in to activate said modules, you will need to change the various key's to an ED account, as it no longer uses Steam as its authorisation. Bottom line is, from my experience, I was able to start the stand-alone install, copy the files from steam, and then let the installer find those files and everything installed just fine; however, I did have to edit a file to allow the module manager to activate. After that I associated the keys to my ed account without de-activation and everything seems to work fine.
  5. Andre, I was hoping you may be able to assist me. I've just ordered a buttkicker and in preparation attempted to install Simshaker; however, whenever simshaker tries to run I get a "clickonce has stopped responding error". The error itself seems to have no obvious solution as far as I can tell, so I figured I'd ask. It must be noted that I don't actually have the buttkicker as of yet (I just like to be ready) and I have the 4.5 runtime+ installed. Thanks for your hard work, by the way :) edit: I have no anti-virus installed as well for what its worth.
  6. I have something of a concern regarding the new maps and campaigns... When bringing out new campaigns in the future, are we likely to see the developers of those campaigns tend to keep them set in the Black Sea map? After all, when you sell a module with a campaign, the customer is likely going to expect to be able to play that campaign whether or not he/she owns some specific DLC-map. Perhaps it won't be as obvious a problem with Nevada; however, in the future where there may be a reasonably large selection of maps to choose from, being required to own 'x' map just to play part of a module you paid full price for is going to seem harsh. For what its worth, I don't say this as someone who is concerned about paying for new maps; I'm actually more concerned with the developers feeling forced into limiting themselves to the old map.
  7. OK. This looks awesome. How do I actually buy it, though? Is there an English site or can I organise payment and shipment another way?
  8. I took apart an old entertainment unit, pulling off the doors and various shelves and re-using those shelves to built the unit out and around me. I still need to raise the rudder pedals on a slight angle somehow and I also want to take the swivel away from my chair. I haven't really figured an easy way to do that, yet. Still, it all works pretty nicely.
  9. Wow... this is absurdly useful. Not only that, but the whole thing is very professional. Thanks for this :)
  10. I've been wanting to do this exact thing (replace the MSFF2 stick with the X-55), but I have no experience in either the required theory or practice, and whilst I can surely apply myself to the theory, once I start taking these things apart I know everything will need to go right for me to avoid a lot of wasted money (plus I think I'd feel guilty for killing a MSFF2 in prime condition). Ideally, I'd love to do the stick extension as well, but the PeterP mod is so far above my capabilities that all this is just a pipe dream for now. It's annoying; I just cannot go back to a spring centering stick unless I absolutely have to, but the MSFF2 stick is lacking badly, not only in buttons, but in the quality of the buttons. They are cheap and nasty, especially the feel of the trigger compared to the saitek sticks. Congrats to the OP, by the way; it looks awesome.
