  1. Confirmation of the official surrender ashore. I was serving on HMS Bristol who was Comandeer Task Group 317 at this time (Flag Officer 3rd Flotilla - Rear Admiral Derick Reffell).
  2. MTO Plymouth wartime callsign: GUZZ
  3. Do you know why Guzz is called Guzz F1GHTS-ON?
  4. Actually Gentlemen. In 1982 HMS Endurance was Chatham based. Not Pompey!
  5. Don't forget HMS Bristol (my ship). Took over as Flag when Hermes limped home. Be nice to see the "Red Plum" in game too. HMS Endurance. Her Wasp took out the Santa Fe with an AS 12.
  6. Here is the original cease fire signal as received by all units, afloat and ashore. NGS means Naval Gunfire Support - Any ship that had guns. Ships Company Communicators were NGS trained, and sat with the Gunnery Officer in the Ops Room talking to the "Spotters" ashore.
  7. Having a ciggie outside the Globe Hotel, Port Stanley. Just after the shooting stopped and the Royal Navy congregated in Stanley Sound! L-R. Chuck Berrington, "Mad Jack" Hopkins, Me, Dan Maskell, Dave Lewis (RIP).
  8. Me taking in the air on the Flight Deck of HMS Bristol - TEZ (Total Exclusion Zone). I was off-watch. However, every afternoon without fail the ship went to air raid warning red. I'm standing up straight, but the South Atlantic has other ideas!
  9. That isn't the FI. HMS Bristol taking on stores at Ascension Island (Wide Awake). We were part of the 2nd group, and destined to take the Flag off HMS Hermes after the conflict. The only Type 82 Destroyer (which should have been a Cruiser really). So here she is. CTG 317.1. How do I know this? I was there. The ship was decomissioned in December 2020, and is currently awaiting disposal.
  10. Hornblower, me hearty. If you still have these, I wouldn't mind giving them a crack! Will cover postage too. Just let me know if you still have them. Yours Aye.
  11. Well, at least you know its here in the UK! I want to know how come they charged me £60 and only charged you £54! I must have had the Customs bloke with a grudge. I want to use a Matt Wagner phrase here - Asshats!
  12. Topsy Turner .... This is the nickname you would have in the Royal Navy. Some of your best Oppo's would call you Mark! You would be rubbing shoulders with Smudge Smith, Knocker White, Slinger Wood, Rattler Morgan, Banjo West, Bungy Williams or Edwards, Fez Parker, Buster Brown, Spud Murphy, Buck Rogers, Shep Wolley, Pony More Spud Murphy, Buck Rogers, Shep Wolley, Pony More, Dusty or Windy Miller, Nobby Hall or Clark/e, Daisy May or Adams, Soapy Watson, Swampy Marsh, Sweeny Todd, Stickey Green, Bagsy Baker, Bomber Harris, Bogey Knight, Brigham Young, Bunney Warren, Dolly Gray, Dodger Long, Dicky Bird, Darby Allen, Dutchy Holland, Perry Mason, Pincher Martin..... To name but a few. I am keeping my eye on your thread. The more I am using the JetSeat/BK2 combo, the more I am getting to like it.
  13. You're welcome shipmate. The more people pass on their experience, the less people struggle trying to setup. Hoping fl40 might pop back and let us know what settings he has dialed in for the F14! ETA: If you look here https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=175028&page=280 from comment #2790 onward. fl40 suggests a dead zone for the G-Effect (which I will be trying)!
  14. QSL Snake122 - Thank you for the pointer. I have done the right thing.
  15. Roger that f4l0 - My apologies. I got carried away. Fantastic software, and would have no problem paying for it. I have edited my original post to reflect that it isn't payware sir.
