  1. Working flawlessly for a few months now. The twist on the stick is a bit too easy to use involuntary, but otherwise it's great!
  2. In 11th and 15th of June, I ordered some stuff from Virpil since they now accept pre-orders. VPC Constellation Alpha-R VPC MongoosT-50CM2 Throttle VPC MongoosT-50CM2 Base I am happy to say that all products arrived yesterday, it only took a month. I am a bit concerned of comments that the product quality assurance might not be as good as before, but I will test the gear and provide my comments and reflections in near future. The initial reaction is positive. Sturdy good units which are well packaged! The intention is that these will replace my Hotas Warthog kit as well as my Logitech rudder pedals since I am trying to mount everything on a office chair so it all can be easily stoved. I am totally a newbie on Virpil stuff so this will be a interesting trip! The boxes Throttle box with content information The throttle, still wrapped in bubble plastic Unboxed! Also includes USB cable Lets check the other box Alpha Box Base box Box in a box... as usual Neat. Dogtags with the Alpha logo Grip and dogtags Grip and dogtags The base box, with instructions on cams and springs The base Grip mounted on base Kind of looks like the Alien in the Alien movie, doesn't it? Just beautiful! Looks really good and feels sturdy Throttle is just a button galore!! Throttle, base and the base plate I have had a go yesterday night with just some minor configuration to get it going and went for a mission with the F86 Sabre in the Museum Relic campaign. Everything works as expected and it surely feels like a great update to my old Warthog kit. The software is not easy to use, but once you understand it and use it, it grows on you.....
  3. I just want to thank You Hollywood for a great addition to DCS World. A very cheap buy for a excellent and very well made product! Thanks!:clap_2:
  4. Logitech Trackman Marble to the rescue for me when flying. I was thinking of getting something like the Elecom Wireless Trackball for Left-Handed and try that out, or something similar to it.
  5. 1st day buy for me as well. You deserve some serious payback for your time spent so I ask everyone to buy the PRO version or send some donations. I am really looking forward to this! Hollywood, You have made DCS world so much better with your investment in VAICOM during these years. Respect!
  6. It looks like a update have resulted in adding this function. In the "Weapons" Category, I have two actions: "Weapon selector turn clockwise" and "Weapon selector turn counterclockwise". However, I can only get the "Weapon selector turn clockwise" to work. When using the "Weapon selector turn counterclockwise" nothing happens. I have tried remapping the keys also, but it does not seem to work. Have anyone had luck with the "Weapon selector turn counterclockwise" action? I can only use the mouse to rotate (or use the direct functions). I have a rotary that I want to use for this purpose :-)
  7. Thanks for the information. I now use Spad.next for my simpit using SAITEK panels. Even though it does not support DCS World (yet), the configuration options are great! Just a simple thing as using the Saitek Switch panel with the gear lever where you can configure delays and then switch the leds to different colors is great. Hope it will interact with DCS soon so that we can have radio channels visible in the saitek panel, as well as heading etc in the multifunction panel. It seem like I can program my Warthog Hotas to use 3-way switches as well, though I need to look into it a bit more. Thanks for the input Krono. Spad.next is now a permanent software member in my simpit :-)
  8. Ah, smart approach. I have similar issues so will try your tip out. Thanks rtimmons!
  9. Time to save up then. Thanks for the tip! :D Much appreciated!
  10. I have been flying the Viggen for a few hours now in VR (Rift CV1) and loving it. Done some training missions and some multiplayer. Yes, I also encounter some stuttering at times, and dials are a bit hard to read even with VR zoom, but you quickly learn the positions for different modes so that's no issue for me. Happy flying!
  11. +1 for this, it makes it a lot easier in a simpit environment. :-)
  12. phew... what a enjoyment that Grudge match was... even MORE hyped now :D :D :D Thanks LN team for showing it off :D
  13. Aaah. Ok. Thanks Flit! I think I need to reinstall my DCS cause it seem to be messed up after the update. I like labels when training and I still try to learn so labels help :-)
  14. I did some changes in my labels.lua previously, and after the update, I can't get any labels in singleplayer at all, so probably I messed it up so my installation is likely not a good testing platform right now. If anyone get some insights on this, perhaps with pictures, pls share :D
  15. Thanks Cobra! I'm looking forward to the Grudge Match :-) You got it all there. For me it's more important to get a product with quality, and it's important to keep the audience updated on progress when it's announced. The release itself will come when it's ready :) ED I believe is not the best communicator out there. A simple agenda or a forecast that is regurlarly updated as they go, is sufficient. No need to put in specific dates, just go with month or quarter, and draw the guess plan and change it as it goes depending on what happens... Get some sleep LN team! You need it :D ! Crush the Fishbeds! ;)
  16. Hi I could not find any detailed information on these changes yet, and the only thing I could see when flying in VR is that all labels are now completely gone. This change was done for VR pilots I understand from the changelog. Anyone have information on what these changes listed in the changelog actually does? Ingame unit labels. Added possibility to adjust the color blending and opacity depending by distance. See \\Config\View\Labels.lua script. Ingame unit labels. Labels will scale in VR
  17. I'm a bit sad that ED does not mention anything about their estimated delivery of new modules in the news letter at all (read Viggen). The audience asks this a lot and is mostly kept in the dark by ED and then the newsletter comes with some (for me) minor happening and no real outlooks. Given that the ED page don't even supply previews of Viggen, gives me a feeling that Viggen is not even on their agenda yet. LN is probably trying to push for ED to do the needed activities so that Viggen can be released, but my feeling is that ED just can't cope with that right now. - The team tries to set up a WWII map with all included, as well as the Spitfire - The team also work on the DCS future (including building a platform that can handle multiple maps) - And on top of that we have normal patching and fixing... which partly is done twice to handle the current multiple platforms. ...and of course, our missing Viggen (and other modules)... which I feel is being placed waaaay behind in the waiting line for now. ... I just fear that quality will be affected if this paralell work will continue, and I do want the Viggen, but not at the cost of lacking quality and stability on the DCS platform. Hope I'm wrong and all is good :-) For now I'll just fire up the F-5 and do some dogfighting with the Mig-21 ;-)
  18. I purchased two USB button boxes on eBay from "johnhyde04" PC Sim Racing USB 24 Switch Button Box Rotary Encoders IRacing rFactor2 BBJ Sim Racing PC USB 22 Switch Button Box iRacing Project CARS I placed them in front of my Hotas Warthog throttle and program them directly from DCS settings. The rotaries also are push buttons, so you can push them for one command (for example on/off) and rotate clockwise or counter-clockwise for increasing and decreasing values. The flip switches do not stay in upper or lower positions, the return to the middle directly after being flipped. In total this combination gave me 24 simple buttons (press & release), 6 rotary knobs with push function and 6 flip switches. I probably will have a similar solution on the right side as well. I'm quite happy with them both and can recommend them for anyone wanting simple USB button boxes with rotaries, push buttons and switches. I will likely buy 2 more to have on the right side as well and I will never, never run out of physical buttons ;-) I fly in VR so physical switches work best for me :-) The only thing I'm missing are probably some lights (preferably green as the throttle has it already) ;-)
  19. working on some simple batch scripts, will post here if I am successful anytime in near future ;-)
  20. Yes it works. With some scheduled batch files and scripts you can also automate the process and store several versions based on for example date. I use a sync software that syncs needed files once a week to my dropbox folder (thursdays) so that I am ready to apply the friday updates without risking loosing my controls. I sort the configs using date folders in a Dropbox folder. I can run a simple copy script to apply a certain configuration to either 1.5 or 2.0. I mostly run 1.5 but sometimes I copy it over to 2.x just to try the new updates. Right now I have 30 generation controls stored there... time to clean up I guess ;-)
  21. Playseat Air Force chair. Really nice. Use that playseat myself for my simpit. You really found a good balanced setup here that will give you a lot of sim hours! :D Great job!
