  1. It really isn't about trading those cards, though some people might want to trade them. Their main purpose however is to sell them on the market - cards from some games go up to even 1$ in price. And the creator of the game gets a share from the market transactions with those cards. It's basically free money for ED without much effort put into. Even most obscure games and games from indie developers have trading cards these days.
  2. Hello, since we already have DCS Wolrd on Steam maybe it would be a good a idea to add trading cards from which we could create badges and get cool rewards such as profile backgrounds? As an added bonus Eagle Dynamics would get some percentage from players selling them on the Steam marketplace. Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

    RWR symbols

Well, maybe I wasn't clear enough. There are more ground threats which aren't on any of the lists I've seen so far. For example: 49.

    RWR symbols

Hello, I can't seem to find a full list of RWR symbols. Air to Air radars aren't such a problem, but all the documenation on the internet seems to be lacking information about ground based radar symbols. Is there such a list avaivable somewhere?
  6. Thank you Xanix for this very in depth guide.
  7. Yes, I did. It doesn't provide any solution for having two installs at the same time only that you need to switch between the two whenever you want to play either map. However one interesting question appeared: does switching between 1.5 and 2.0 and back to 1.5 on Steam eat up activations for the modules? I'm really looking forward to a solution as I'd really like to try NTTR now and not wait two more weeks for 2.5.
  8. Hello, I'm considering getting the Nevada Test and Training map for DCS on Steam, however I would also like to keep the Caucasus map. Is there a way to have both maps on Steam? Has anyone tried that before? If so, could you please give me an easy step by step guide on how to do it. Thanks in advance.
  9. Thank you very much. That seems to solve the problem. However my point still stands, I use Steam mainly so I won't have to worry about fixing such stuff manually and seeing as it doesn't have the module manager and that none of the manuals included the Steam version I wrongly assumed that such stuff won't affect Steam users. Sorry if my messages seemed too emotional.
  10. Running pcnsl.exe found in that folder and trying to deactivate leaves me in the same place as in my most recent message, that is: "Unable to deactivate the product license due to integrity fault of the Activation Key. Only valid licenses can be deactivated. To obtain an error report and send it to product technical support, click the corresponding button."
  11. If it really is the same for us Steam users, then please provide information on how to open the so called "Module manager". Whenever I try to deactivate my license key through this window: i get a message saying: "Unable to deactivate the product license due to integrity fault of the Activation Key. Only valid licenses can be deactivated. To obtain an error report and send it to product technical support, click the corresponding button."
  12. Hi, please provide a soulution for fixing the MiG-21 Starforce issue on Steam, or better yet - provide an automatic fix, the way it should be done. And, please, don't give us the usual - "move to standalone, it's much better here". Believe me, some of us are very dedicated and it would be the last thing we do. Thanks in advance, A loyal customer.
  13. I just want to drop in my two cents: This whole thing with Starforce is really unprofessional. Even if it couldn't be handled any other way it still is very unprofessional. Changes to the product should be done in such a way that we don't even notice them happen - not make us read a 10 page manual on how to have access to your product after some patch. The developers should be very grateful for such an understanding community, because in any other game there would be only torches and pitchforks for such an unprofessional treatment of customers. It would be hell. That is all.
  14. +1, adding target drone versions of normal aircraft with special drone AI (no pilot model) would also be cool.
  15. Why me? It'd be a great upgrade from this:
  16. Yes! It would be awesome to see the MiG-23MF and other variants in game (I just love the look it has with the large vertical stabilizer) either from RAZBAM or from some talented modder if it is possible. Oh, and by the way, having more and more popular and well known Soviet aircraft checked off the announcement list we kind of have pretty much nowhere else to go than for the more obscure onces like the often overlooked Su-15. Can't wait for what the future holds for DCS.
  17. +1! With the level of detail of upcoming modules (F-14 for example) it would be a shame not to be able to do a walkaround from a walking perspective to see all the detailed parts (floating camera is good, but it breaks the immersion). And it would be awesome if it also added a climbing in and out of the cockpit animations. It would give the perfect immersion for VR.
  18. Now we only need to know which Mi-24 version we are going to get. I really hope for the Mi-24W with the flexible Yak-B 12.7mm four-barrel Gatling gun. However, the rumored Mi-24P is also nice. Who knows, maybe we will get more than one version?
  19. Now this is a module everyone should get hyped for. Good luck!
  20. All the options are very interesting, but only one of them would guarantee an instabuy for me...
  21. +1, though it isn't the bis variant, nonetheless it would still look awesome in DCS.
  22. 15 bucks for some textures? Just to balance the hype a bit: I'll say I pass on this offer.
  23. I've just checked out this English manual. I can see that you can speak Polish, so you should be aware of the differences in translation between those too. In the polish one it clearly states "następuje odpalenie pocisków w kolejności...", which basically means "firing of the missiles occurs in order...", while in the English one "missiles should be launched in this succession...". The Polish one suggest that the process is automatic, the English one that it's only a suggestion for the pilot. Anyone got a Russian manual or some other documentation at hand? :smilewink:
  24. The instruction is for the MiG-21bis, it specifically says that. It was equipped with RP-22SMA radar with GCI equipment. The instruction book was published in 1982. I totally agree! Right now MiG-21bis pilots have a serious handicap in the form of having to operate an addintional switch. But let's hope maybe the Devs can give us some input about this matter, maybe I'm in the wrong, though the instruction in pretty straightforward. :smartass: EDIT: You may ask when and why would you want to select a pylon other than for example 1? The answer comes from the manual aswell - you do that when the missile fails to leave the launcher.
  25. Awesome work as always.
