  1. That sounds like a weird design flaw. What if there is a malfunction on one of the tanks?
  2. You can change laser codes for the bombs in the hornet and a-10. Maybe they will let us in the viper eventually.
  3. After the merge just fly straight up. The AI will follow you until it stalls. When that happens you just turn around and pounce. Biggest challenge is not losing sight of the enemy plane.
  4. I feel there is something wrong with HMD A-G target designation. I have attached a track. What I did: With no target designated I set the FLIR as SOI. I slave the TGP to the Velocity vector. I point the VV in the rough area and press TDC depress, I then use the tgp to slew to a hangar and press TDC depress(not sure if this is a necessary step but whatever). I then fly around a little. The coordinates displayed in the TGP are rock solid and never change. When I come around 360 degrees the tgp is still pointed exactly where I left it. Next Step: I undesignate the target. Put my HMD as SOI. Look in the general area of the hangar. Hit TDC Depress. Switch SOI to tgp. Hit TDC Depress. Slew over to the hangar again with the TGP. Hit TDC Depress again just to be sure. Then I fly around a little. Now I can see the coordinates drift, especially the altitude goes out of whack. After I come around 360 degrees the tgp is no longer pointing at the place I left it. Is this correct behaviour? It seems to me that although I used the HMD to point the TGP in the rough direction, after that it was the TGP that took over and did the final designation. Why would the HMD interfere after this point? This is a big problem because when I use the HMD to find targets most of my JDAMS miss even when I use the TGP for fine tuning. hmcs drift.trk
  5. I have never touched it. What does it do?
  6. I tried trimming. It is certainly possible to stop the rotation with trimming. But it doesn’t seem to stop the problem. Heavy wing still just seems to roll the plane the same direction regardless if the plane is inverted or not.
  7. I just noticed something very wrong with the flight model while flying. If you have a an asymmetric loadout the plane will keep rolling towards the heavy wing even when inverted... While flying right side up it's natural that the heavy wing will drop. However when the plane is inverted the heavy wing should roll the plane the opposite direction right? I'm no aerodynamics expert(quite the opposite) but at least that's how it should be in my mind. No track attached but you can just start up a mission, jettison everything on one wing and you will see what I mean. Running the current Open Beta version.
  8. Find the pitch axis bind in controls. Click it and select «axis tune». From there make the selections as I have done in this picture. You can fine tune it further if you wish. But this setting will make the stick more sensitive in the negative pitch region. Meaning your virtual f18 stick will hit 100% negative pitch before your physical joystick.
  9. Fly faster. The faster you fly the higher the G at a specific AoA.
  10. I find it worrisome that the last update to their software was in 2016. Hopefully there is still someone employed who can fix things in case a windows update breaks something. And while the tracking is ok it is very poor compared to the tracking on most vr-headsets. Even most phone apps are better. Just look at the 3d mask filters in some of those instasnapbookwhatever apps. Very impressive face tracking in those. And they do it just by looking at your face. No ir-leds and reflectors.

  12. BMS has an option to enlargen MFD symbols and text which is on by default. This makes me think that in real life the text is probably this small. I hope ED can give us such an option.
  13. Maybe they could make slightly modified VR Models of these things where they simply enlarged the lights to make them easier to see for VR users. Would be far less immersion breaking I think even if the tankers maybe would look a little unrealistic upon close inspection.
