  1. appreciate your feedback Ramsay, I'll give that a try.
  2. Has this issue been fixed yet? I'm having significant problems with the vertical axis TDC slewing of the IRMV seeker.
  3. Glad I did a search of this forum before posting a new thread. I'm having the same issues with default FOV in all my modules, as described in detail above. Thanks for the RCNTL-NUM0 x2 workaround. single monitor, 3840 x 1600, 60 Hz. Thanks for letting us know the plan is to fix this in a future update. peachpossum
  4. I have not personally tried this solution but others are reporting some success with editing the control binding LUA files. Editing control binding LUA files
  5. I just downloaded today's OB patch, ran a quick repair, and then loaded Surrexen's Operation Jupiter mission into the Mission Editor. I added a couple of Client Mossies and ran the mission from within the editor. Seems to run fine now after the patch. I am getting a lot of errors when I look at my log file, mainly to do with textures and DX11 shaders. I don't know if I should be worried about those errors in the log file, for all I know they have been there for a while. dcs.log
  6. We had trouble with Operation Jupiter last night (Surrexen's WWII based dynamic mission). It got hung up on Spawn Objects and would cause DCS to not respond.
  7. My friend's DCS Open Beta (non-Steam) is crashing every time he tries to to fly in on our MP server. This seems to have started since the 2.7 updates. He can't stay in the server for more than a few minutes. He is the only one in our group that has this problem. dcs_log_grunge.log
  8. The problem seems fixed with the latest update - DCS 2.7.0.5118 Open Beta. With only 2 or 3 missions in the list, I could easily load each one.
  9. Hi, Since I updated my dedicated open-beta server to version 2.7 my web gui no longer runs any mission except the 1st one in the list. If I add more missions to the list, they can be selected and deleted, but selecting the 'Run' option only starts the 1st mission. The only way I can get a new mission to run is to delete the serverSettings.lua and restart my server to generate a new file where I can add a new mission. Or I can edit the ["MissionList"] entrys in the serverSettings.lua file. I've tried repairing (fast and long methods) and I'm still having the problem. Any help is appreciated.
  10. Hey EasyEB - I've been flying your XCAS-Syria mission for a couple weeks now and my friends and I really love it. Thank you for creating such a fun and helpful mission.

Are there any instructions you could point me to that would enable the dismounts to include manpads? I tried modifying your mission script (setting a manpad flag to true), and looked through your dismounts script but nothing seemed to work.

Thanks again for such a great mission.

      Hi!

      I’m glad you like it.

There’s no real easy or good way for you to implement Manpads. You could replace the RPG soldier with a Manpads unit, but you would end up with a way too high number of Manpads.

I’ll look into adding Manpads threat with some parameters.

      Hi EasyEB,

Thanks for your reply. I've since found your thread on this mission in the ED forums. Happy to continue the discussion there if you prefer. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know. I find you mission fascinating on many levels, it is constructed in a way that I'm not real familiar and I've enjoyed trying to figure out how everything works.

One example was figuring out how to set the CDU to a different format than I had been used to - I saw someone else in the thread had a similar finding. I dug through your miz folder and found the folder with the cdu configuration Lua and was able to set it up the way my friends and I are familiar.

Thanks for making such a cool mission to play, and from my perspective, a good teaching example of how to make a more sophisticated mission.

  11. I recently learned about the trigger action 'Scenery Remove Objects Zone' and used it successfully in a recent Persian Gulf mission. However when I created a practice mission I may have gone too large with a single zone and my mission will not load. It's a problem because even Task Manager cannot kill the DCS process once it gets stuck trying to load the mission, and I have to force my PC to shutdown with the power button. I'm guessing my zone radius is too large - 184300 ft - centered at Al Ain Intl in the Persian Gulf. Is there a limit to the zone radius when removing the objects within? Log attached. dcs.log
  12. It looks like the answer to my dilemma is posted by Rik right here Multiplayer Server Admin I will try editing my missionList in the serverSettings.lua file.
  13. Hi Flappie, I tried launching my server with the arguments (flags?) that Rik posted, just modified to use the path to my install. I used the CMD tool and pasted this text (same as your example in 2nd code snippet) ... "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta Server\bin\DCS.exe" --server --norender My DCS server launched but got stuck in the same way as when I just click the shortcut. It's possible I posted the wrong log the above after launching from my short ut. I'll add those flags to my shortcut as Rik originally suggested and try that again, but I think I found the root cause of my issue. In the meantime I tried running the same mission from my game machine, and it too got stuck at the end of the load bar when creating a new server within the DCS Game itself. This persisted after many attempts and would lock my computer and force a hard restart. Eventually I tried opening another mission and everything worked as expected, so I think the mission I was trying to load on my dedicated server was fubar somehow. Now I have a new problem - how do I tell my dedicated server to NOT launch that fubar mission? Is there a way to clear a cache (repair did not work), maybe a LUA file somewhere with recent missions? Thanks for the help
  14. I'm having a similar problem, my DCS dedicated server is not responding. I tried to launch with the --server and --norender flags, but it still wont respond. This started happening right after the latest Windows update. log attached. dcs.log
  15. Excellent! - I really appreciate the feedback and help Rudel_chw and toutenglisse.
  16. Hello, I run into this problem almost every time I add custom skins to a new a/c - what is the proper name for the a/c folder to place in ~Saved Gamed\DCS World\Liveries ? I've tried using the same names found in my program folder - ~DCS World\Mods\aircraft\ but this is not a surefire method to get the correct name that DCS recognizes. The latest names that are perplexing me - the Mi-8MTV2 and the SA-342 - folders with these names placed in my ~Saved Games\DCS World\Liveries\ folder are not working. How do I find a consistent way to figure out the proper names for the a/c Liveries folders?
  17. There is a rail yard about 4nm west of Havadarya air field in the Persian Gulf map. In addition to being able to see trains in F7 or F10 view, does anyone know how to detect when it is destroyed? The usual trigger condition "group dead" did not work for me.
  18. This issue appears to be fixed for me too using the the F-86F and the P-47-D40, though I haven't tested the A-10C-II yet where I first noticed the problem. It did require me to clear the category and re-assign my camera movements before any axis tuning settings would work.
  19. Thanks for the feedback, I've passed along the message and will let him know. I appreciate your help!
  20. Hi, My friend who is on Windows 7 has been having very frequent crashes when he tries to join my MP server. I've attached 3 log files that were saved after each crash. This has started with the update back on Sept 23rd (3 updates ago). dracerLog1.txt & draceLog2.txt Normandy Map, P-51-D-25 hot start, dirt runways seem to be OK, concrete runways, seem to cause him to crash dracerLog3.txt Caucasus Map, concrete runway, hot start TF-51, crash on entering cockpit. The problem does not seem related to running add-on scripts like Moose, he was able to join the RAF 662 Skys of Normandy and seemed to be OK when he joined a slot with a dirt runway (Azeville, Biniville). His system is an older i7-2600K OC to 4.1 GHz, GTX 1080-Ti, 16GB ram, Windows 7. He is running a little low on SSD free space; on his boot drive with Saved Games folder, 11/128 GB are free. on his games drive where DCS is installed, 44/512 GB are free. Let me know if any more info is helpful. Thanks dracer_logs.zip
  21. Following this guide made no difference to my observations.
  22. Hi , I am curious if anyone knows of a way to pre-define or pre-load weapons profiles & inventory properties for weapons on the A-10C or A-10C-II? In a training mission we have specific weapons profiles and height of functions for the CBU-97s and it would be a time saver if we could pre-load or pre-define these and then do an air start to practice our ingress, attack, and egress. Can this be done via LUA, mission editor, or mission planner? Another area that would be handy is in setting up special attributes for the HCMS in the STAT page. Thanks, peachpossum
  23. Here is what I observe from the last three patches - I'm currently running the Oct 7th patch (open beta 2.5.6.55960) I've been using the A-10C and A-10C-II and see the same behavior in both modules. Start DCS and chose either a quick mission takeoff, or join an MP server and select role->fly to go into the cockpit. Select F2 for external view. Move the mouse around and note the direction the camera moves in response to mouse movement. Mouse X-axis (left/right) -> camera pans left/right Mouse Y-axis (up/down) -> camera pans up/down Mouse Z-axis (scroll forward/backward) -> a/c moves farther/closer Whatever I change in the axis tune dialog, for any mouse axis, I see no change in camera behavior in F2 external view. I can change deadzone, X saturation, Y saturation, curvature, or select slider, invert, user input. Nothing changes the response of the mouse to the camera view. I can completely clear my mouse from the camera view assignment, and there is still no change in F2 external camera view when I move my mouse. This behavior started with the Sept 23rd patch 2 weeks ago (2.5.6.55363), and has not changed with the last 2 patches. I'm flummoxed, but I'd not be surprised if there is a simple fix or workaround.
  24. Awesome! Thanks for posting a workaround/solution.
  25. I also saw no change with the September 30th patch (Y-axis still inverted and setting invert in axis tuning has no effect).
