  1. Not only pay him, but give him the source code.
  2. I feel the same way that your squad mates do. DCS is gorgeous and the aircraft are fantastic, I own a ton of modules. The problem for me is that static missions are stale because they are scripted and feel very hollow, and going online is boring because death match in jets is just as boring as it was back in the day in prop planes with il-2.
  3. Oh god, my face when I saw that Dynamic Campaign was an option on the poll... So Wags, you are a professional game developer and I'm some guy on the internet but I always felt that a Dynamic Campaign for DCS would work best as a campaign engine that works in a modular fashion. For example, there are a wide range of aircraft from WW2 birds to jets like the Hornet coming soon but a single campaign that includes all those aircraft would be kind of impractical. So why not have a campaign engine that allows users to select which map they would play on, set up "coalitions" like in the current map editor, enable aircraft/vehicles per side along with some other options. So, with this setup people can create and share their own dynamic campaigns using the editor. Utilizing all the new maps and aircraft that are on the horizon can lead to all kinds of fantastic dynamic campaigns in many different eras and locales.
  4. Ok, so I figured out what the problem was. I had mistakenly thought that I edited the missionscripting.lua file because when I opened it up in notepad++, it looked right. Turns out that the way it was set up, I was just looking at a version of the file that I had edited but not saved. Trying to edit the file gave me access errors, so even when I did it successfully using administrator privileges, saving the campaign in game didn't work because there weren't sufficient privileges to write the MDC_campaign_results.lua file. Thanks for taking the time to try to help me troubleshoot the issue, MBot. I also wanted to state what many others have said that this is a freaking amazing mission, thank you for creating it for us to play.
  5. I can't seem to get this mission to save progress in 1.5. I don't know what I'm doing wrong but this is what I've done. 1. I put the mission file into the c/users/xxx/saved games/dcs.openbeta/missions folder 2. I edited in the minus signs in the missionscripting.lua file in the openworld beta/scripts folder At the end of a mission, I press save the mission via the radio commands but when I check my dcs openbeta main folder there is no MDC_campaign_results.lua file. I really don't know what I'm doing wrong.
