  1. Problem was solved by 3sqn_Grimes in reddit/Weekly Questions Thread Jun 22: >> It is here to stay. Its used with the free camera view to save a reference to the terrain. Say you find a terrain bug, you use ctrl+F11 to move the camera so it is looking at the area, take a screenshot, then use the unload camera command and post the results in a bug report. The devs can use the output to load that position quickly to look at what might be bugged. It is much quicker and easier than looking at coordinates provided and having to manually find it. You may be thinking of setting up snap views, which I've never messed with and can't help you there. << Thank you very much.
  2. Hi all, does somebody know the purpose of the new command 'Unload camera position to clipboard' (RAlt - RCtrl - ,) ? Is it a short-term debug tool or is it here to stay? I tried it with the F-86 and in the clipboard appeared: '-camera -281.609906 0.015943 646.375453 -cameradir -0.097645 -0.056033 0.993643'. I tried the opposite way with 'Load camera position from clipboard'. I set the view to the other side of the cockpit and tried to upload the same clipboard content as seen above (RAlt - RCtrl - .) . Nothing happend. Is there another syntax for 'Loading' ? With regards, Martin Scholz
  3. @Frederf: Yes exactly. In the control bindings you could add -short click- or -long click- to a key similar to adding a modifier to a key.
  4. Thank you, SharpeXB , for the information about the HOTAS category. I found and tested controls of this kind for A10C and AV8B (I noticed them before but was unaware of the builtin behavior). I tried TARGET for TWCS and the function MapKey(&Joystick, TG1, TEMPO('x', 'y')); //short press X, long press Y but in effect TARGET is too time consuming and too cumbersome to use for me. For the F15 I will keep the key-and-modifier solution and throw TARGET away.
  5. DCS could distinguish short and long clicks (longer as 500 ms) of the same button. I know there is Thrustmaster TARGET but it is rather awkward to use.
  6. Installed the DCS 2.2.0 tone mapper fix: now it is too dark and it took half the fps away https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ixXEpHrIndnHk9Y8isieViG6afPqbQSw https://drive.google.com/open?id=1vKXMDTITetCPEh5UY-s9oxD6vG9x5P0_ I will remove the tone mapper fix. The flickering and trembling shadows in DCS 2.2.0 are rather annoying...
  7. I installed Normandy manually: CMD in G:\DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\bin: dcs_updater.exe update dcs_updater.exe install NORMANDY_terrain dcs_updater.exe install WWII-ARMOUR It took 5 hours but after all the Normandy map is visible in the Module Manager and it (Spitfire) starts without a problem.. Thank you all very much...
